Beautiful sweater! It runs a little shorter than I expected. I like a sweater to fall at the hips or below. But, have to say, this is a holiday keeper!

Super warm and cozy. Pills a little, but cleans up well with a sweater stone. Softened significantly with the first washing, on the hand wash cycle of my front loader. Did not shrink. One star off for the lousy seam job across the shoulders--this shouldn't be necessary with a yoke-style sweater! Small fits perfectly, 5'5", 125 lbs. I wish LL Bean offered more women's sweaters in wool!

Arrived quickly. Regular Medium. Wore it for a day. Very warm. In fifties I didn't need to wear my jacket. Sleeves are slightly tight on 16" upper arms. But it pulls across the chest and makes a big and thick wrinkle across the chest. Had to keep pulling it down. Returning for a larger size. Stitching is also quite large but no gaps. Good sweater if it fits. Great for skiing or outdoors, I think.

This is a wonderful sweater but like many wool sweaters it was scratchy. I washed in cold water with wool soap, laid flat to dry and it came out very nice and soft. The sweater itself is lovely and fits well... and now it will be soft too!

A great sweater at a great price. It fits well and looks good. Just a bit scratchy, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

This sweater is very beautiful in the multicolor cream. It's heavy and super warm. Too warm for me to wear indoors, unless the thermostat is turned way down. Maybe it's because I find the need to wear a turtleneck or T shirt under it, as the wool material is scratchy. It does pill after every few wears but a sweater comb keeps it looking lovely.

As a knitter myself, I appreciate wool sweaters so much, especially those made from non-pretreated wool yarns. The fair isle design and the colors are both lovely. My only complaint is that the joins of the yoke sections. I am not sure why the yoke has to be made in 2 pieces (front and back) and joined at the upper arms. But this way of making the yoke requires seaming the two pieces together, and the motifs don't line up perfectly at the seams. Please consider switching to knitting the yoke in the round to avoid this issue, which is also shared by other buyers. I usually wear size xs in clothes and ordered a small to have additional room for layering.

I like my sweaters loose fitting so the Large, petite size fit me well. I love the colors (navy blue) and design.

I always wondered how it would feel to sleep with dozens of cats on bed, now it feels like I have them leaning on me all day. Yes, it's scratchy, seemingly made of Shetland wool. Except for that, it's stylish and hardy. I'd like to wear this Fair Isle sweater and go the Scottish highlands, climbing up the lighthouse, with the shouting of seagulls, against the coastal winter wind. I'll just be fine. It's so warm and safe in this sweater. The cream is not cream; it's actually very light grey. I have to wear a turtleneck tee under it or use a scarf. The XL is of course too large for me, but the sleeves are OK. I assume after washing it might shrink a little bit. I'm 5'5", 120lbs with broad shoulders and long arms.

This sweater looks lovely and the fit is perfect but the wool is a bit scratchy at the neckline so I wear it with a silk scarf to stop it irritating my neck. The weight is perfect and it's very cozy - just wear something under it that will stop the itchies!!

I purchased this sweater in the green color last year. I really like it, it fits nice and it's perfect for a cold day when I'm in and out of the office. When I found the cream color on sale online I purchased it immediately. Unfortunately, it is not cream colored. It's light grey. I was so disappointed. My husband asked if I plan to keep it - I don't know I have to get over the disappointment. I wanted a cream colored sweater, not grey. The sweater also pills, so plan on shaving it periodically.

I absolutely love this sweater. It was everything I was looking for in terms of a thick, warm wool sweater. I have to wear a t-shirt under it for the itchyness but it's not the type of sweater that is meant to be worn just by itself. My only complaint is that the neck line changed a lot after the first wash, so it was tighter at the bottom and didn't look quite as nice. I'm hoping that it stretches back out with a couple wears though.

I much prefer wool sweaters and this one is a winner. Lovely traditional pattern and REALLY warm, which is what I was looking for. The wool is a little scratchy but I know that comes with this type of wool. It's not a problem over a turtleneck

I bought the women's medium, which is a good fit other than the sleeves are a tad long. It falls just below my hips. I like my wool sweaters roomy and this is more fitted, but I do like it. I am fine with wool, if you are not it is scratchy.

This was my second purchase of this beautiful sweater. I already had the cream and this one is burgundy. I got a new one because the first was starting to show quite a bit of lint (I did not hand wash it as instructed, I washed it in the machine on delicate setting and lay flat to dry). I usually get petite sizing but I worried about shrinkage so I got a regular size and they fit well. These are thick, beautiful and VERY warm. I wear them at least 2 or 3 times per week over winter and they are robust enough to keep their shape for years, you won't regret getting them! My mom even asked for them after I get new ones.

colors, wool, style all terrific and sleeves are long enough - BUT the body and arms of sweater are quite bulky. I could wear another sweater under this, but a size Small would have really short arms. The arms are just right but once it shrinks a little they may be too short for me sadly.

This is a great sweater for cold weather. Attractive and fits well. Allow some extra room for layering if you,as I do, need that. Every purchase we've made from L.L. Bean has been exactly what we wanted.

The sweater is very warm and attractive, however baggy at the bottom. To pull it tighter I ended up sewing by hand 1/4 inch elastic on inside around bottom. Hoping to enjoy it much more the next time it is worn. Never felt the need to do this before! Somewhat dissapointed.

I bought the Bean Green Pullover - very pretty, decently made, very warm sweater. Sleeves are a tad long on me, but that's ok. My only complaint is the pilling that started after the second wearing, but this won't stop me from buying a second sweater.

She opened this gift in my presence and seemed to like it - it looked OK to me as well - but I don't know how it fit or how often she will wear it. She said she would wear it a lot. Who knows?

I loved the sweater. The first one I ordered had a pull in it so I will be returning it. I ordered another one just like it and it is fine. It fits well.

I purchased this sweater for my sister who lives in Spain. When it arrived I knew immediately I had made a mistake due to the weight of the yarn. This is a great sweater for cold New England winter weather but not for Spain. I had hoped it would be a lighter weight. Since I live near an LLBean store, I exchanged it for a cashmere sweater which will be a much better weight for the warmer weather there.

As advertised: Classic. Fits comfortably over the garment (s)underneath, especially the sleeves. I have to turn up the sleeve cuff about an inch, as otherwise it falls to about the bottom of the thumb. I do wish that manufacturers would reduce the size of the needle for the cuffs and bottom band so they fit just a little tighter as they used to do, years ago. Then there would be no requirement for turning up the cuff. Overall fit: a little large, but a small MIGHT be too small. It's a bit bulky under a coat. Color is not true blue as it seems in the picture, but more of a dark blue heather, with mixed light and darker blue yarns which I love. (Don't remember how it was advertised.) And it is a Ragg wool, not a product that others will want to pat cause it's so soft, but it's not scratchy.

If I had gotten my regular medium it would be a little snug. Lots of compliments on it.

Since they didn't have my normal size of Small, I ended up ordering a Petite Medium, which worked out perfect. Sweater is very comfy, but if you are sensitive to wool, it may not be for you. It is a bit itchy, so I simply wore a light weight cami underneath to protect my upper body. My arms were a bit itchy, but after a few hours was not that noticeable. Great sweater, super cute and warm.
