Warm! Needs inside pocket and hood is bunched. Fits well otherwise.

This jacket is light in weight, but provides significant warmth. The slightly lower rating is based on the sizing of the jacket. I wear a size large. This jacket is a bit smaller than the marked sizing which makes putting on and taking off an effort. Once on, however, it's an excellent jacket.

Very nice coat. Light but quite warm. Would be a 5 if it had a nice inside pocket.

Size is accurate and jacket is very comfortable. Only 4 stars because the hood is large and unwieldly at times.

Very stylish, great colors. Much warmer than your average 650 fill down coat due to the fleece lining. Hood fits pretty well but wish it had a hood adjustment to really snug it in. No front phone pocket which is now a given in most nice jackets. If you have a more muscular build, especially in the shoulders and back, it's a bit snug in those areas.

First off, it is a great jacket. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is it doesn't have any pockets on the inside. Seems to be a common problem with most newer jackets.

Great jacket! Only LL Bean coat/jacket I have bought (10+) that doesn't have a phone pocket or inside pocket.

Purchased for a low sale price, it's a great value. It is moderately warm, but needs a flap over the zipper because it's drafty in a breeze. As others have reviewed, it is a bit difficult to put on due to the fleece upper lining.

Great jacket!! The down fill is lightweight, warm and breathable. A little tough to get on, the liner gets caught up on my shirt but once its on its very comfortable. Form fitting as described, I love the color block, its a unique look.

Great jacket for the price, inside pocket along with a napoleon pocket would be 5 stars. I'm 5'10' 175 pounds and the medium fits perfect.

For an extra large it was a bit tight around the chest. The insulation is very good at keeping your body heat from escaping.

Great jacket, good fit, love having a hood. Wish there was an inside pocket though - most of my other bean jackets have an inside zip pocket.

After reading reviews, I went with the large, when I generally purchase medium. I really like the jacket and the hood. But you really can't layer much under it and be comfortable with the fit. But overall a fine jacket choice.

This jacket is Awesome! Very warm and fully functional. The hood could use a 'sizer' but not a deal breaker. Cons: no interior pocket(s), the sleeves can be difficult to pull over a thicker shirt. Pros: the quality is there. Fits nicely as true to size. Ordered a men's XL Tall.

Per reviews, I found the neck and shoulder lining bothersum when putting on the coat. My solution is to use base layer tops, normally designed to have over covering, to "over come" this issue. On balance, the jacket is warm and has a good fit even for a 5' 10" with a long upper body. We are currently out of the sub twenty degree weather going into early Spring. I will followup when Winter rolls back in nine months from now. I will admit that I shop end of season sales to save.

Nice and warm- I just wish it had a pocket or two inside for a wallet and keys. But it's a great jacket other than that

Its comfortable, warm, well made, and beautiful. The design could be even better with the addition of 2 internal chest area zip pockets and if the silky lining in the sleeve were extended up closer to the torso.

We purchased this jacket this fall for my spouse. He brushed up against a doorframe and the jacket tore. He was disappointed at how the material seems to damage easily. It is warm and fits nicely, but material wise, it may be a bit lacking.

Keeps me warm and comfortable only problem for me is that the elastic around the hands I like the Velcro that I can adjust

Warm, lightweight, looks good and fits well. Fleece liner is really comfortable, but makes it difficult get the coat on over sweaters and fleeces.

Ordered a size up as I tend to do with L.L Bean products. Would have been 5 stars if the shoulders weren't so weird. It's like they are tight not because they are too small circumference wise but because the shoulders drop too soon. If you have narrow shoulders this will fit you great but most guys don't lol
