It's just not what I expected it to be. Not a bad coat just doesn't feel right for me. I'll return it basically unused other than just trying it on. I'll look over your other styles and order something else. Thank you

Need a hooded down jacket. Ordered non-hooded ftom competitor EB same time. Perfect, EB brand warm comfy and great moveable chest room. Just got the hooded Bean down jacket. Snug upper body and arms unless removinf underlayers. No base layers not a winter mountain state New Mexico option. Again Vietnam manufacture sizing often smaller. Wull return this nice jacket. Sorry.

I loved the look of this jacket, however the fabric material inside the jacket made this a difficult coat to put on and take off. I decided to return it and find another jacket instead.

Why doesn't it have an inside breast pocket for phone/wallet?

I love LL Bean products. However, this time I bought a Men's Bean's Down Hooded Jacket and found that the Down feather is not enough to fill inside the sheets. There is even no down feather in somewhere and there are just two layers of fabric sheets, which made the Down Hooded Jacket not warm enough as it mentioned. I bought a down coat a few years ago, which the quality was much better than the one I bought this time. It seems that LL Bean reduced the use of down feather in the product. My wife bought a Women's Ultrawarm Coat Three Quarter and found the same issue.

Price = value. This a low cost and low value jacket. The chest is very tight. The fleece lining is a great concept, but in practice it's difficult to get my arms into the sleeves. And the sleeves are tight. The most disappointing issue is the lack of warmth. I've worn it 3x in 28-30 degrees. I was cold. And the wind blows right through. Would not recommend.

The fleece lining in the shoulders, back and beginning of the sleeves of this jacket makes it bind to your shirt and a chore to put on. It sticks to any fabric other than a slick polyester and you will spend some time pulling your shirt sleeves and shirt tail and collar back into place once you have the coat on.

Bought this for my son who needed a larger jacket than the older XL jacket I bought from LLBean years ago. I bought the XXL and it was smaller and shorter than his XL by quite a bit! Nice soft jacket though. Going back.

Comfortable and well made . Just what I needed for running weekend errands on cold New England winter days.

I am fairly fit 5-9 185 lb man. The sleeves were so tight I could barely get this coat on and there is no room for more than the heavy cotton shirt I had on. The coat and sleeves are lined in a material that does not slide over your clothing very well. Then the sleeve lining hung out of each sleeve once I finally wrestled the coat on. There is no extra room at the waist either. This coat is way smaller and tighter than my 20 year old LL Beans size Large 'Trail Model' man's down jacket I still wear from time to time. On the positive side the coat is a very attractive blue.

I really like the style, fit and the light weight of the jacket. The issue for me is the sleeve tightness and the material used for majority of the sleeve liner. The lower portion of the sleeve liner is nylon, but the material used for the body of the jacket and upper part of the sleeve appears to be a brushed polyester that I think is supposed to feel like flannel. That material does not allow my shirt sleeve to slide down through the jacket, even if I am only wearing a long sleeve T-Shirt it pulled and twisted my sleeves into an uncomfortable position. Holding on to the cuffs of my shirt did not help..they were still uncomfortably twisted. Beyond the material, the sleeves were not roomy enough. I know the new style is slim, but this is inconvenient and uncomfortable. I considered keeping it because I like all the other features, but I've had coats like this before and I didn't wear them because the sleeve thing was so annoying. Needless to say, it would be impossible to put the jacket on if I had a sweater on. I am disappointed, but I will need to return it.

Wore this once skiing on a windy day. By the afternoon, Seceral pin holes emerged from the fabric had down insulation slowly leaking out. Fashionable jacket, but it won't hold up to rigorous use in the elements.

This is a great jacket - if you can get it on. The fleece lining extends well into the sleeve and grabs hold of every material known to man. Each time I wore it, I had to force my arms in, holding the sleeves of my shirt and then reach back to pull down the back of the jacket. Also, there was a small hole in the front that leaked feathers. Not Bean's best.

Had what I thought was a great deal on a warm winter jacket. I'm a big guy and ordered a 3X. The label said it was a 3X but it was closer to an XL in actual size. I had to return it.

I bought a 3xl down jacket even though I normally wear a 2xl in all shirts and coats, just to have more room. It was so small I could not wear it. I don't understand, because I went by your sizing chart. You dont sell a larger size in that coat so I had to return it. I also had to pay to return the coat, even though it must be your fault by mislabeling the size. Now, I have received a store credit instead of a credit to my credit card. Why? I need to buy a coat from someone else, not you. I can't trust your sizing system, you don't have that coat in my size evidently, so I want a refund to my credit card or money sent directly to me, or to an outfitter of my choice for a coat that is sized properly and will fit me.

If you are larger like me, don't even waste your time. 3XL fits like an XL at best. Very disaapointed as I had to waste time as it was delayed in shipping, then sized so small I could barely zip it up.

Jacket is way too small and does not accurately reflect the sizing. Arm holes pulled on my armpits. XXL Tall jacket seemed like a Medium size in actual size. Poorly located fleece around neck and shoulders making it difficult to slip on and off. Some reason the fleece was not smooth making it awkward. I am not sure why LlBean is only offering their down coats in Slim instead of the common Traditional fit? Doesn't LlBean know that many people like layering or wearing a long sleeve shirt under their coat? I am not satisfied with LlBean and had a similar issue with a vest I sent back immediately after receiving. LlBean, please stop cutting corners and make your products to be durable, long lasting, COMFORTABLE and to accurate size. If this reduction in sizing and fit continues, I will be looking for another retailer.

I was very disappointed with this coat when it arrived. Way too small compared to the size it claimed. The arm holes pulled up on my arm pits and the coat gripped me all kce leaving no room for layering. I'm not sure why LlBean has gone to the "Slim Fit" from the common "Traditional Fit" for most of their down coats and jackets? Seems like a poor marketing choice. LlBean for years was known to put comfort and durability above looks and cutting corners on fabric / insulation. I sadly will be looking at a competitor's products because LLBean has let me down on this one.

6ft 5 inches and the xxl tall fits perfectly and keeps me warm. However, after wearing it twice, for less than 3 hrs total, I noticed a couple of pin holes and a white material coming out of the holes. Not sure if this will last through the first winter First time buying from llbean and so far I am very disappointed.

This jacket will keep you warm in the cold weather and it looks good. That is about where the benefits stop. The jacket sheds feathers out of the inside and outside of the jacket. I routinely find at least a half dozen feathers by the end of each day we have even more poking out which can cause a little pinpoint bricks against your skin. Beyond that, the fleece on the inside is very warm, but also makes it next to impossible to comfortably get jacket on and off with anything other than a slick polyester shirt.

This was a birthday gift for my son. He loved the coat( the color, style) after wearing it for a few days I noticed that he was covered in feathers. I'm sorry to say that they have not stopped falling out. For a LL Bean product I was very disappointed.
