I bought this jacket for my husband and he says it is very warm and comfortable. The fit is a little boxy, he is between a S and M - 6', 160 lbs, Went with M, it's a little big, maybe a S would have worked. Nice that hood zips off as he rarely needs that.

It's almost too warm. It will come in handy when it gets really cold again

Really like the jacket, Only thought is that it is a little longer than I like. Yet on a frigid day (had -10f this week) it was toasty.

Seems to be nice quality and thoughtfully designed. Another reviewer mentioned the exterior pockets might be low and hard to reach and I would agree with that although it's not a problem for me and my long arms. Very warm.

Review date: 1/7/22 I bought this jacket in anticipation of getting a puppy in December and planned on using this as the go-to winter jacket for 4am puppy potty breaks and everything in between. This coat has lived up to everything I hoped it would be. From throwing it on at 4am over a t-shirt to wearing it out in 10 degree weather, to being the only "preparation" I had made ahead of a the first true snow of the season this jacket has delivered every time I've needed it to. Plus it has a million pockets and a removable hood (at first I thought the hood would be annoying so I removed it entirely only to find myself zipping it back on two weeks later when I realized the utility of it). This jacket is now my go-to winter jacket and I couldn't be happier with it.

I've owned my Baxter State Parka since 1994. It has endured blizzards, snow shoveling, winter hiking, and winter camping and still looks great. Perfect coat for the coldest days

This coat is fabulous!!! It was an Christmas gift for my son, who is a middle school teacher and needed a warm coat for the extra duties affiliated with his job - standing out in the cold during recess, parking lot duty for school pickup, etc. This coat is a total winner and he loves being warm and toasty. He is 6'2" tall and this down coat is plenty long in overall length and in the sleeves, which is critical.

Living in Northern Vermont and having a dog that needs to be walked 6x a day regardless of the weather I rely on this coat to stay warm and dry. It is well designed comfortable and warm!

If you don't want to be cold yet enjoy being outside in winter, this jacket absolutely is for you. Even in high winds at sub freezing temperatures, this jacket performs as advertised.

Quality parka. I see no issues with the zipper. The parka does run large. LL Beans chart recommended that I order a large (and I normally wear a large from other manufacturers). After reading the reviews I elected to order a medium. I'm glad I ordered the medium. The medium fits well, if anything I would say it's still a tad too big.

Fits well, keeps you warm, has pockets to store everything. A premium product for areas that get cold in the winter.. Hood with fur fringe still not used but seems like it will do the job in a snowstorm.

The best parka ever invented. If Luke Skywalker had had this coat on Hoth he could have calmly strolled back to base.

Long - reaches to thigh (good for Minnesota winters), warm, lots of pockets, double zipper, but hood fits a bit tight even when fully loosened making it hard to pull over a winter hat.

Great jacket for New England Winter. If one is pushed to make a critical point, one could say the head-cover often exhibits a mind of its own that makes it a bit unwieldy (esp. for instance, when walking a dog that wants to run every which way).
