I spent a lot of time checking out different types of bags to use for photography. I travel a lot and needed to get a new bag for a job out of state. This bag is durable, spacious, had all the pockets you need and more. I was split between 3 different bags but I'm definitely glad I got this one. I purchased the camera sectional with this bag (used) and it works great. Enough space for 2 cameras, a couple of lenses, and I was also surprised how easy my 70-200 EF lens was able to fit with no problem. I'd recommend this bag any day and use it all the time!

I've been using the travel backpack for the last 5 years. Yes, it's a bit worn out since I've used it as an everyday bag too. But when the zipper loops wore out, PD sent me new ones! Now I've washed it and it's almost as good as new, ready for another few years. This is the most rugged, useful and thoughtfully designed bag I've ever used. And it all works so perfectly with everything else I've got from peak design. This is endgame for me. It's the backpack that made me fall in love with Peak Design and now I'm married to them. Forever. And ever. Amen.

Bought the 45L Sage bag last minute for a 10- day trip to Scandinavia. It was perfect for carry on international flights, easy to check for Scandinavian domestic flights that have very small carry on bag restrictions. Once jammed- full, your gear is easy to access from every direction due to its multi- entry point system. Loaded with features, even after 10 days of constant use, I was still discovering new capabilities. I rarely leave a review but this bag was so good I just had to. Great job design team!

I carried this bag everywhere during a 2 week trip. Paired with some packing cubes, it has more than enough space to fit clothes, toiletries, and small souvenirs that I picked up along the way. The bag is super sturdy, although this means that you can't really fold it/crumple it up very easily, and it is a bit heavy when completely empty.
Fully expanded, it just about squeezes into a standard-sized overhead bin on a plane. I used the outer straps to fasten an extra packing cube to the outside to hold more stuff in the main compartment. I didn't think I'd use it, but the side access comes in handy when trying to reach something stuffed at the bottom of the bag quickly, and the inner pockets help for small documents/pens/paper.
Great bag all in all, and I'm happy I got it.

Can be used for just about everything, as I do!
Not a 10/10 for hiking, but about everything else it'll excel at.
I find myself rarely using the expansion as it exceeds flight carry on limits, so i could've settled for a 30L, but it's been nice and easy the times i've used it to fully pack it. The decompression partly undos itself if you use the side handles with any force, which is just about the only complaint i have.
Great organisation, customizability and adaption. The external straps and hip belt that can be hidden away are amazing.

This bag is bomb proof. Big enough to fit a bunch of stuff, but small enough to be a carryon. Great design. Plenty of pockets and organizers. Plenty of little thoughtful features throughout. All of the straps and the hip belt tuck neatly inside flaps on the back of the bag. I can't think of a single improvement.

I bought this bag a month ago and it's amazing the design the thought put to the details of this bag. This one bag is all you'd need for your travel adventures.

I'm not going to talk about its use. Since you can easily find it from reviewers all over the world... But what I want to offer as a customer That's the best after sales service. And you must be impressed with the service of the team for sure!!!!! Trust me because I have proven it.

This bag was my first attempt at 1-bag travel. I was able to fit everything I need for a week-long trip in the 35L (non-expanded) mode. I used it with a large packing. I've, small packing cube, shoe bag, and large wash bag. It fits easily in the overhead bins, and is comfortable for carrying. The ability to shrink it to 30L ("daypack mode") once you get to your destination is a nice touch. If you need a bit more space, using the lashing straps to attach a shoe bag or wash kit on the outside works well. The variety of pockets is great once you figure out how to best make them work for you (watch the video for ideas!). The laptop sleeve makes you forget you even have it with you.

Bought this pack about 2 months ago after purchasing the Peter Mckinnon everyday bag. In comparison they are both very high quality and definitely justify its price. I purchased this one because I wanted something a bit bigger that could carry everything without having to sacrifice taking things with me. Zippers are very good qulity. Storage space is hilarious as there I just keep finding more room to put stuff. side access is great as it works with my rather large canon r5c with a small rig cage and a 70-200 lens. It is rather water resistant as well. Someone spilled a drink while the bag was on the floor and it didn't get on the inside. I switch between both bags as this is too large for under the seat of a plane.

I bought this for a two week trip around Brazil (complete with packing cubes). It was great. Relatively lightweight and comfortable to wear. Easily fit in overhead carryon compartments (when not making larger with extension zip) in all planes from an ATR prop plane to a Boeing jet and everything in between. Tons of pockets to stuff things. Pretty durable - after 15 days of being thrown around various planes, trains and automobiles, nothing broke on the backpack or feels like it is about to break. Loved the ability to access main compartment both directly and through the front pocket.

I bought this backpack specifically to carry my photography equipment during travels. In addition, I purchased the photography cubes too. Perfectly designed to fit inside backpack with provided stationary clips to keep cubes snug in bag. Plenty of useable pockets and double side water bottle/umbrella/tripod pockets.

I bought this, as well as packing cubes, for a busy summer of travel. As soon as I figured out what all of the zippers open (thank you for the videos!) it has been a dream. Packs well, comfortable to wear, fits easily in the overhead compartments on planes. Most cubes I have had, pop open or the zipper rips, not these. These are super durable and efficient.
I love this system.

This bag is designed perfectly for both my professional and travel needs! The compartments, sleeves, design, construct and accessibility are perfect for the present day professional. Very protective sleeve for laptops. And all of the accessories fi perfectly within the bag. I cannot recommend this bag enough!!! I use this for my every day commute to and from the office and job sites; and it also accompanied me to Europe for 10 days and provided me all of my carry on needs, as well as using to take daily necessities.

My husband and I each bought one of these backpacks and the packing cubes for an 11-day trip to Spain. Our main goal was to avoid checking luggage and to keep it light for traveling around a lot. This backpack nailed it. We had a ton of room in our bags even after they were fully loaded up with clothes and toiletries; I even had space for an extra pair of shoes. It was the perfect size for a carry-on bag and the multitude of handles made super fast and easy to grab it out of the overhead compartment and get the heck off the plane. I'm definitely recommending this backpack to anyone who wants to travel without the hassle of a suitcase.

I bought this a few months ahead of a two-week trip through France, and it's fantastic. I used compression bags to stuff enough clothes for a week, a suit, toiletries, 2 pairs of shoes, and small electronics. The pack held up very well, and everything was accessible in multiple ways thanks to all of the zippers and cool features.
Because of all the pockets and zippers though, the pack does feel heavy. Backpackers may want to take note. For travelers like me who want a durable pack to avoid checking luggage, this is a great investment. This is my main travel pack going forward, and I can't wait for many more trips with it!

I've had this bag for six months, and I'm currently on my fifth trip with it. I really like the design, and the attention to detail -- the features on this bag simply work as designed, which is no small feat.
If I had to pick a favorite detail, it would be the included packing straps, which I have used for everything from lashing a raincoat to the top to strapping an entire second back to the bag. With all the attachment points, they are super useful and really easy to use.

Have only used this bag about 5 times so far and I love it. Great quality, great design. I really like how you can size it down or up depending on your travel needs. The only thing I would like to see is a touch more padding on the shoulder straps. I can start to feel them after wearing for a while through an airport or walking. This is only a minor detail for me being I love every other aspect of the bag.

this bag is super tough and carries so much stuff. I packed clothes for an 8 day trip for myself in this bag, binoculars, computer, multiple chargers, water bottle, coffee mug, dop kit, and even fit my sons diaper bag. there are so many features and places to organize things that are well hidden and intuitive to use. i highly recommend this bag as a carryon alternative
