Best bag I've ever bought. Everything is so well designed and intuitive and easy to use. Will be buying more Peak Design products.

Perfect backpack for one-bag trips (which is the reason I mainly bought it). Solid construction and quality materials. It gives you confidence that your things are protected. The only real downside is comfort. If it's full and you have it on your back and you walk a couple of kilometers or just wear it for an hour or more, it starts to get really uncomfortable.

ok look, this is my first travel backpack and it honestly rocks. Great organization, so many cool features that I will probably never use, but this bag makes me feel like I can take on any multiday trip somewhere. The laptop flag is spacious, but a little flimsy weird at times. Other than that, this is a solid bag that I will use. If you are looking for something that is a 1-2 day type of bag, I would recommend the duffle.

The quality and functionality of this bag is unmatched. I've used it for storage, daily work travel, and long periods of travel. The design is well thought out and the quality had held up like it was new.

Have had this backpack for a couple of months now & each time I use it I find more features. I've wanted a dedicated camera backpack for some time now & this backpack combined with the additional camera cube certainly lives up to all the hype. Even with a medium camera cube inside I've still got lots of room both inside & outside for all my extras that I cart around with me. Fantastic outside pockets for my water bottle & tripod. The best backpack you'll ever buy.

I got this backpack seeing it's reviews online and on New York Times' Wirecutter. This travel backpack far succeeded my expectations. As a traveling musician I need something for my instruments (I am a trumpet player), pedal board and sometimes an amplifier, depending on the type of music I play and what my commute looks like. The Travel Backpack 45L expands and customizes to my need, allowing me to travel without getting unwanted attention from thieves looking to steal my instrument. I also have an easier time boarding a plane with it's sleek and discreet design. I highly recommend this product to artists who need something out in the field, no matter what your specialization is and I don't think I have to get another backpack ever again. Great work Peak Design!!

I've known about this bag for years now. And finally I have it. It solves so many problems, and it fills a crucial need in my travel arsenal. I'm pretty much set for one bag travel.

I was thinking about buying this backpack over months and months and finally decided to do so for black Friday. Can't wait to use this backpack for my round the world trip in a few months.

In conclusion, this bag has fantastic utility and comfort, looks wise I love the sleek stealthy look, is it an industrial backpack, or is it a camera bag, it's both!

I absolutely love this bag, it's built like a tank. I bought it on the used marketplace and it arrived as if it was new (after 5 years of ownership elsewhere). The only gripe I have is that the straps do dig in a little bit when its fully loaded, it doesn't bother me, but I could see it bugging some people. The waist strap really helps of course too.

This backpack is made of high quality material and very well thought through. It offers great flexibility with padded laptop compartment and with a divider which can be unzipped. I am using it as carry on luggage on air travel and works very well.

Am amazed at how well the backpacks made, from the easy to clean water resistent material, to all the nooks/crannies for storing items. Especially like the disappearing shoulder straps and grab handles all over. Zippers are well made and there's lots of them to allow access multiple ways.

I'd put off this purchase for a while and an upcoming trip to the UK was the trigger to buy and it was going to put the bag to the test. It hasn't let me down and I'm back from my trip. There was a bit of getting used to the straps and clips in how they operated compared to other bags I have. The functionality of storage was very helpful once I got used to using the bag each day. Being able to expand or reduce the overall size was very helpful at times. With the waist belt the weight of the bag sits nicely on my hips and away from the shoulders. I did nearly loose the chest strap but fortunately I spotted it laying on the ground. I think I used every aspect of this bag and it just worked well for 11 days of travel. I combined it with a camera cube and packing cube which also made usability even more helpful. It's got couple of rub marks on it now but that's all part of traveling and a working bag. Seems to be a pretty solid bag, I'm impressed so far. It was great to be able to tuck in the straps when using an overhead locker or just in a hotel room. It tidies up the backpack and a welcome feature in my book. Hopefully the zips last as I've found it can be the weak point of any bag if it's not done right.

I was comparing this and another backpack. I ordered the PeakDesign Travel Backpack and it has far exceeded my expectations. So many thought out details and when I loaded it up with all of my gear, it actually felt lighter due to the design of the straps and the backpack. I love the zippers and the attention to all of the little details.

When I set off to travel, the first thing I ALWAYS grab, is my Travel Backpack. Then I proceed to stuff ... no, that's not right, this bag is set up so that I don't have to stuff, rather I strategically structure the contents (my stuff) into the incredibly well thought-out recesses of the Backpack. (SOMEtimes, on rare occasions, I realise that I DO need a bigger bag, despite the expanding zippers, and then I regrettably grab a duffle...). It's sometimes amazing, though, what I DO manage to fit into the Travel Backpack. And even more amazing that I manage to find it all again without major difficulties thanks to the various interior pockets, dividers and access hatches. I've used the bag for extended weekends, for week-long business travel with a laptop, and for five days of hiking in the African wilderness. (And only this one bag, no others!) It has proven robust and resilient, inherently flexible, and also exceptionally comfortable despite being loaded with 12-18 Kg of my Stuff. The s-shaped shoulder straps with a chest strap, the large hip belt, and the optional rain-fly all combine to make it just as outdoor-viable as it is trains, planes and automobiles viable. And in these last conditions, little things like zipper garages, security tabs and even locking loops make sure that my Stuff stays my Stuff. And after all this travel, the bag still manages to look sharp and neat, and not totally exhausted. (Like me!) I also love the multiple outside attachment points that let me strap on a jacket, a tent or whatever else I think of in the last minute and can't manage to fit into the bag... Not to mention the not one, but TWO outside bottle pockets (that are just as good for an umbrella (not my personal favourite...) or a packet of biscuits (more my thing!), and the neatly concealed but readily accessible passport and document pockets. This bag was designed by (real!) travelers for travelers, and built by engineers who know what they are doing.

My husband and I each bought a travel backpack as our engagement present to ourselves, 5 years later the backpacks are still going strong and have traveled with us across three continents. Mine is in mint condition still and has held up really well to quite a lot of travel. I once lived out of this backpack for 2 months, yup it fit everything I needed and I lugged it across six cities. It's my go-to bag, I really appreciate the thoughtful design elements, the hidden pockets, the expansion options, the interior organization, the streamlined profile, and the elevated laptop pocket. Things I wish could be improved - it's a bit heavy when empty, the straps are not super comfortable for long hours of carry, ideally the expansion would be in the main compartment rather than the front compartment, would love a hidden pocket sewn into the sides of one of the straps so you have essentially a chest pocket when wearing the backpack (there's one on the waist strap but not the shoulder straps).

I bought this before my 5 week trip to Mongolia. I packed it as my only bag that I was able to compress the bag allowing me to use it as a carry on luggage. There aren't many pockets/compartment, so it can be challenging to find gear/clothing unless you're very organized. Easy carry as a backpack or shoulder sling. The bag did very well at keeping my gear dry, and fabric was durable during my trek. I like the versatility of this bag for travel.

Took the bag on a weekend trip to Seattle. Worked well as a carryon and was able to compress it to a day pack to hike around Olympia National Park. Straps were comfortable, and the side access was very handy to access things like snacks or a rain jacket. The water bottle pockets can fit a Nalgene no problem. Love that it stands up on its own. Looking forward to using it for many more trips.

Excellent traveling back. My trips are always one week trips by plane. I don't like to check in any bags. It works perfectly. A lot of space
