Been using this backpack since the Kickstarter, and I will never look back. It goes with me everywhere (It's been to four continents!) and it's like new. Supreme quality and design. This bag is basically my most prized earthly possession.

This bag is THE bag for shooters who travel and for anyone else who like to stay organized while away from home base. I was on a 1.5 week travel job and fit everything I needed in this bag. The mag flips in the bag are awesome and really keep everything tight when not in use. Being able to access the main compartment 3 separate ways saved my a** many times. Love this bag, I'm going to take it everywhere.

My favorite feature of this backpack are the magnet flaps on the back that can stow away the straps very easily and quickly. This is the best looking backpack I've ever had, I can't stop looking at it. I got it in Sage color. I don't really care much for the side zipper access but I can see why photographers would find that handy. I use compression pack cubes to pack a ton of clothes into this bag. You can either use Peak Design packing cubes or find some third party compression cubes that are 14x10. Overall I'm really happy with this travel backpack. You can tell Peak Design put a lot of thoughts into it. I ended up getting the Peak Design medium packing cube and rain fly to go along with this backpack.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A sturdy, functional backpack that is also understated and elegant. Perfect for city business settings and for outdoor adventures. All the features are just as advertised. A bit pricey, and I wish the accessories like the cubes and the toiletry case had a lower price range, but I'm pretty confident the quality is top-notch and hopefully long-lasting.

I recently bought it and it's been love at first sight ever since. It holds all my goodies for my travels, and believe me, I do travel A LOT! at least twice a month.

Purchased this recently for my trip to Europe and really appreciate the quality as well as care into the all the details with this product. Really enjoy the main compartment's easy access (almost like a carry-on luggage) as well as the access from multiple positions. Can't wait to use this on my trip and I keep on being incredibly impressed with Peak Design's products.

I have used my pack as my carryon for 22 domestic and international flights in 2021. It rides snug and tight on top of my quad roller carryon no matter how fast I have to move to catch planes. The compartments are perfect for packing my stuff, while keeping things separate for convenience. Occasionally I use the shoulder straps and found them to be functional and comfortable, not the flimsy after thought straps found on some packs. I lost the sternum strap somewhere between Turkey and Germany. It was easy to replace. I think this pack will see me through at least a decade of work travel. More than my money's worth.

I have a thing for searching for the best backpacks, duffels, etc. The Peak Design Travel Backpack 45L hits about every mark. Peak's quality is always excellent, this backpack is no exception. Everything works smoothly as the way it is supposed to work. The looks are those of a premium piece of luggage while still looking rugged and functional. I own a few PD pieces and, without exception, I'd recommend PD to anyone.

Amazing build quality. The ability to customize the pack for your needs is something that you don't find in other bags.

Very comfortable and capacious backpack.
Is's easy to place all stuff for 2-weeks travel in it. Really like the feature with fast-access belt for easier carry. And ecosystem with all side accessories add ability to create full setup.

The 45L Travel Backpack answered a lot of questions and filled in the gaps with previous backpacks I've used. I travel for work, and am a self-described bag geek/junkie buying and trying a veritable pantheon of backpacks, slings and hip packs. The PD 45L allows me to cater my pack load for each travel op with ease utilizing the features available, as well as the accessories that can be hot-swapped at a moments' notice. I carry 2 laptops for work, so comfort is key in a backpack for me. The laptop sleeve is well-placed and padded perfectly for lumbar and shoulder-weight comfort. I was concerned the shoulder straps would be uncomfortable and lacking in padding, but they are surprisingly stable, easy to adjust and comfortable with heavy loads. Quick access is a welcome feature with side zip access and top-mounted, weather-resistant zippers. The 45L is my daily carry, as well as my travel go-to. Cannot say enough great things about it, well done to the R/D Team at Peak Design - thank you for a great backpack!

Purchased month ago to travel and I love it, the only regret is that I wasn't purchased it earlier!

Simply love it. I was dreaming about this backpack for a while, and I wasn't disappointed. Quality is good, functionality is awesome. I already had couple of trips with it and it was very easy to pack and unpack at any point. I love that it fits hand luggage dimensions when folded, but has a potential capacity for much more. I also come from the long line of overpackers (hi uncle Lawrence!), but I was able to fit in there everything I needed for a 4 days flight with no problems. I use this backpack with shoe pouch, wash pouch and big packing cube. In smallest configuration it is quite tight fit, but works for me. Only one small issue I found so far is that padding on the straps could be a bit softer, or at least my shoulders get tired from it. But I also don't use any lateral straps, so maybe that's part of the reason.

I purchased this bag about a month ago and it came in the mail very quickly. I was surprised and impressed by the number of features the bag has, the company really has thought of every possible need. The youtube video on the Peak design website really helped me to get to know my backpack and make good use of it. I have traveled with it ones and have found it easy to use, I am slowly adjusting to my packing technique to make the best use of it's features. Very pleased with this bag and it's quality.

I have been an owner of a 45L Travel Backpack since 2019 and it is the best piece of luggage I have ever owned. Perfectly scalable from the day to day essentials, through to a multi day work trip. It helps keep everything so well organised, allows me to have access to my camera at anytime (Meaning I use my camera more), and means I can keep anything I might need for work all in one place

I bought the black Travel Backpack as a gift for my boyfriend. He had been eyeing it for a few months and I had gotten on board looking at all that Peak Design had to offer as well. This bag is no joke. The YouTube videos don't lie. It's a masterpiece.
Unfortunately the process I had to go through to obtain this bag was quite shocking. Their Toronto distribution centre kept sending me defective bags that were all marked up. I eventually had to go to a retailer close by that sold PD products and they had to order it in for me. Through all the hassle, PD customer service was very understanding, apologetic, and extremely prompt in replying to my emails! Once I finally got my hands on the high quality bag that I would expect from PD, I was sooooo excited! This bag is incredible. You can both see and feel the quality of the bag instantly. The functionality will blow your mind!
I then personally delivered the bag to my boyfriend who lives overseas and surprised him. He was beyond ecstatic! He tells me every day how happy he is to have this product. The layout of the pockets is extremely well thought out and makes everything inside easily accessible. The ability to hide the hip straps adds to the versatility of this bag, as do the many handles on all sides allowing for smooth carrying. I could literally go on for another hour or two talking about how amazing this bag is. It is well worth the price and if you're having doubts it also comes with a lifetime warranty! Once you receive this product though, your worries will melt away because you can literally feel that the Travel Backpack is built to last and hand crafted with detail and passion. I would recommend this as an everyday bag or a travel bag or literally anything in between. You will not be disappointed!

This was to use in combination with the large camera cube as a replacement to my rolling suitcase style camera bag. I carry so much camera gear but was tired of rolling my bag around so I bought this, and I'm so glad I did. Being able to use this without the camera cube is like having 2 bags in one.

The first Peak Design project I backed on Kickstarter. As a high capacity backpack I could find no complaints, love it all around. A few things could be improved however, like thicker/more padded shoulder straps, and inside pockets on the sides like the new Everyday Backpacks.
I love it so much that I use to use it as a day pack but it's simply too big, and so I bought the Everyday Backpack Zip for that.

I got this bag because paired with a camera pod it offered great access and organization for my equipment. But it also is a great short vacation backpack. The quality was what I would expect from Peak Design and they paid attention to every detail of the bag. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

The best bag that I've ever owned, the list of great things that I could say about this bag is endless so I'll just leave it at this: if I could only own one bag for the rest of my life, this would be it.

I backed this on Kickstarter about 3 1/2 years ago and it's still going strong. Exceedingly well made with no signs of use despite being my go to carryon piece of luggage for all trips. And I travel a lot, domestically and internationally, even during the past 2 years compared to most people. This is large enough to accommodate my 600 mm f4 lens (without the hood or with hood reversed) which I would never want to check in for a flight and Gitzo Mountaineer 4 segment tripod which I find amazing. I use clothing to pad the lens for safekeeping during the flight. The packing cubes are great too, very well made and thought out as well.

I have a heavy photography gear and I usually travel with them. I had tried out different backpacks before, but the Peak Design Travel Backpack was a game changer for me. The quality is excellent and the functionalities (from both organizing and security point of view) are beyond my expectations.
