bought this based on Wirecutter review to use mainly when traveling. have been on several trips. the pack and accessories are simply great.

I was looking for a carry-on bag for short to medium length trips with enough room and options to prevent the need to check a bag. The 45L Travel Backpack ended up being exactly what I needed. It had more room and pockets than I ended up needing with the items in mind I wanted to bring. Paired with the Medium and Small packing cubes, this did everything I needed. Looking forward to continue using this on all of my trips going forward!

We bought Travel Backpacks for going on cruises. We packed them to use as carry-on for the flights to get to and from the cruise and they worked great! They just fit in the overhead bins and they carry a lot of stuff. We like the way they have many options for chambers and for access in a variety of ways. We packed a number of devices in addition to clothes and were able to get to them easily.

I have used this backpack twice in 30 days and it's a huge upgrade from using a normal backpack or small rolling suitcase. Zippers and material seem very sturdy and durable.

Watched a youtuber mention this bag, seemed perfect to my needs so I purchased one for Christmas. Arrived rapidly and has changed my 3 days travel trips all for the better. Love it! Highly recommend this bag.

I did lots of research and your backpack a n d pouches had everything I wanted. It's light weight and is easy to open and easy to pack. I'm a train rider and this works great. I'm 77 years old and it rides on my back and hip perfectly. It's everything I hoped for and more.

I bought this about a month ago and I am very pleased with it so far. I have not taken this on a plane or trip for that matter, but I have used it throughout my day a few times just to get the feel of it. So I can't comment on that portion of the bag but everything else about it seems well made and very well thought out. Some people believe it's "over engineered" but that is a very subjective term. It could or could not be...up to you to decide. I am of the thought the organization is handy and I like that it keeps everything neat inside of my bad. Another selling point was the clamshell opening for the main compartment. I plan on this being my main travel bag through the U.S. on planes and road trips. The openness compliments my packing cubes(different vendor) and there is plenty of room for my stuff and then some. I leave the bag in its stock setting since I feel that is more than enough space and I will eventually be taking this on airlines. It is a bit expensive, but I feel it's justified from the materials and design of the bag with all the features it has. I will try to update my review once I go on a trip.

You won't find another backpack like this in the market. The attention to detail surpasses any other backpack I've tried. And that doesn't simply mean more pockets, it is more intuitive and better to use.

A good backpack to carry all your stuff in a compact way. Very good capacity/compactness ratio allowing air transport. Bag without compromise and excellent quality.

I love this bag. I can't stop showing it off to all my friends and family. I just took it on a overseas travel job and it was such a treat to have. I have it with two packing cubes and the small toiletries bag which gives everything nice and tidy inside. The only feedback that I'd give us that the pocket with the small areas for pens and wallets and passport inside the first flap should be on the other side of that pocket. Currently if that mesh zipper is open and you're digging through the bag all the contents can fall out while the flap is open. If it was on the other side (not on the opened flap part) this would be fixed.

I work in television and travel every month somewhere new. This bag has revolutionized my travel. It's so well designed so that everything can have a place and I can travel with confidence knowing as long as I have my PD bag I've got everything I need.

Bought this in December of 2021, just before a couple of trips. Long story short, works perfectly just as advertised! Very well engineered and thought through. Really fits the traveller carrying some tech and photography gear. Even on a daily basis, it's my go to bag, collapsed down to the 35L volume. Even with one camera small camera cube permanently there, plenty of room for a lot more without being overly bulky or difficult to work with.

First time I used this back was for a wedding in Italy. The pack does great from at the air port to the overhead compartment. From traveling in the shuttle to climbing up and down the steep stairs of Positano. The pack is beautiful simple yet profoundly organized. To use all its features on a trip makes the trip an orchestrated event or using its large main compartment fully open can get you out of the door instantly. I recommend this bag for anyone trying to go on a trip with everything you need and to be able to return with some souvenirs!

I've been shopping for an international travel backpack/suitcase. This pack has all the bases covered and it is exceptionally made. It's far better in design, durability and comfort than the other packs I've seen by Cotopaxi, Eagle Creek and Sierra Designs. What I also want to mention is that this small business has an exceptional staff. They're an amazing group of thoughtful, attentive people. There's no need to shop anywhere else, stick with Peak Design. Their products are of the highest quality and craftsmanship. No stone was left unturned in their detailing and features.

If there is a feature missing in what I think of as the perfect carry-on bag I expect to find out in the next version. Peak Design isn't afraid to break the mold or iterate and you shouldn't hesitate if the price fits your budget. I bought mine used directly on this site after enjoying the Everyday pack v1, as a work / laptop / camera bag. This is similar but better for travel. I am contemplating getting cubes for a big trip, so many ingenious features. Watch their demo videos!

I bought this a reward after receiving some good news given that it is not a cheap bag. I also purchased two packing cubers. I travel quite a bit on both long haul and overnight stays and wanted a bag that would suit these needs, as I'm not keen on dragging a trolly bag around cities. I've used the bag now on three separate short haul holidays and find the bag really useful. I like the way you can stow away the straps to keep it uncluttered as well as the side zips for easy access. Expandable side/drinks pockets make getting and replacing a drink easy and they ar good for holding a baguette. I have used the bag as a day pack reducing the size of the bag for a day at the beach. Extremely pleased with the bag so far and as per the title you can see that a lot of thought has gone into the design and production. Definitely the best travel bag I have bought and hopefully will use it for many years to come.

Using it right now to tour around The Philippines. Way better than Tropicfeel pack. Combine this backpack with packing cubes and no need for a suitcase

Purchased this bag 3 years ago and I USE MY BAGS. 45-50lb carry almost daily. This bag held up to it. Finally the zipper started tearing from the front compartment, however, after reaching out to support and filling out the warranty request they got me a new bag after I mailed mine in and I was ready to get back out there!

I travel for work all the time and this bag replaced everything I used to take. I'm a one bag traveler now. This bag has enough space for one week of clothes and it's comfortable enough to carry as a backpack or as a duffel.

I've bought this to streamline my travels. Was able to pack everything my partner and I needed for a three-week trip to Brazil! The bag is amazing, the organization features work perfectly, and it is very comfortable to carry around even when fully loaded. Am planning on using it on my trip to Europe and Brazil this summer (will pack everything I need inside for 8 weeks of travel)!
