I bought this about eight months ago and as I need to travel often this backpack has been my favourite travel friend. I wish everyone had one of these because not only would it make security checks faster but it's also nice to pack, live from and unpack when you get back home. The organization, pockets and multiple zipper access are great for storing big and smaller items. The whole thing is comfortable to carry and because of the small security measures on the zippers, I also feel safe to walk around with it. After using the bag for eight months there are no scratches or any signs of wear and tear.
While the product is expensive, I can definitely see why. I think it has been a great investment!

Like frodo could almost not destroy the ring, I could never leave this back alone. Has got all the features I need for most of my travels. I take it on weekend trips but also on a 4 months trip through India & Nepal.

I have only had a chance to use this a number of times for travel, but I can tell that this will be a forever staple in my future travel. I love the features and it is so intuitive. It is also surprisingly comfortable to carry. I have the sage, but I am tempted to get the black too (one for me and my husband).

I bought the pack about 2 years ago and used throuaot this time. I used it for weekend trips, but also for business travel for a week overseas including packing a business suit. The features are just great and it is just perfekt to carry your stuff on your shoulders. It is very comfortable and looks great. Have a look at the many videos about this product to gett the idea ow to pack it and travel the world.

I have had this backpack for almost a year and have brought it on trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, and all over the US so far. The backpack has held up great through visits to the beach, walks in the drizzle, bumpy bus rides, long walks around cities and everything in between. I love the safe computer case for bringing my laptop with me and the hip and shoulder straps make it easy to adjust the carrying style to the weight and length of the walk. Before buying I had read some concerns about the zipper durability but have experienced no issues on this front, and the main zippers still glide as smooth as they did when brand new. I did lose the two very handy external carry-straps at the airport, and wish there was a more secure way to hold these to the bag, but it was easy to replace them through the PeakDesign website. Sometimes the location of the main opening vs the front pouch can make it a little awkward to access items without flipping the bag over, but I believe this would happen with any suitcase style opening backpack. Size-wise, the backpack is excellent. I have more than enough space inside for what I need, and plenty of options to ties onto the outside if needed (fishing rod, ukelele, jackets, wet clothes, dirty soccer cleats, etc.). All in all, very happy with the backpack. I recommend it to each of my friends looking for a single travel bag

Bought this 3 years ago and have travelled a lot with it all over the world. Perfect for carry-on if its not stuffed all the way, also great for camping and attaching gear outside. Really good organization inside.
I only wish the carry system would be a bit better / more comfortable

I bought it a couple months ago and finally got to travel with it last week. I am really happy I went with this travel backpack. It was eat to keep my things organized whether it was in a hotel room or transiting through airports. It is structurally sound as well.

My favorite bag so far has been Kickstarter project that was a great concept poorly executed. The 45 liter Travel bag from Peak improved on the concept, and totally nailed the execution. I bought the bag a month ago for a two week trip to Germany, Austria, the Dolomites, and Venice. We've been doing carry on travel for years, but with the travel headaches we've been hearing about this summer, we really wanted to avoid checking a bag. The Travel 45l made it easy. Far and away the best bag I've ever owned. Doing carry-on only usually involves some compromises, but the decisions the Peak Design team made on this bag are truly elegant. And the build quality is second to none. Bravo and thank you! Dan

Bought it specifically for 1-2 week trips (specifically for airplane travel) and it fit the bill perfectly. It is such a thoughtfully designed backpack with lots of space for organizing your travel items (with the addition of the packing cubes it was a dream). Easy top-access to take out your laptop and liquids at the airport, lots of loops to clip carabiners, and massive side-pockets for my huge water bottle. Pretty much in love with it.
Testing it out on a 1-week sailing trip next ;)

I've been using this bag for a while now and it is super great. The only thing I wish is if the inside had the ability to use the origami folds so I could use the divisors to organize the bag.

Back from a 2 1/2 weeks European trip carrying the the 45L. I used a compact luggage carrier most of the time and as backpack when plane boarding, stairs, rain, etc. The bag is durable, sleek looking and with security features. The only inconvenience is that the front pockets are tight to access when the bag is full, and to get to the main compartment, you have to turn the bag upside-down. You can access the main compartment from the front by unzipping the front pocket partition and lop it over but it's awkward. Aside from that, the bag served me well.

I bought this bag over a year ago, and it continues to be an excellent daily-driver bag. I use it for laptop carry, groceries, and sort trips in Europe. The expandable sections make it excellent for multi-use, and the large main pocket makes it perfect for stuffing all sorts of belongings away.

Want to run through an around a new city and still be able to navigate stairs, public transportation, and cobblestone street all while still being to have coffee and a croissant? This is your pack. I hate having to deal with rolling luggage of bulky duffles. Big enough to hold a week's worth of clothes (and laptop and camera) but not so big that it makes you fall over backwards (said from the POV of a 5'0 woman). Love it! Well constructed and nice clean look.

I bought this bag after comparing a number of bags (Cotopaxi, etc.). The thoughtful design of this bag is really beyond belief. Every zipper, every snap, every Anchorpoint is placed perfectly: there when you need it and hidden or out of the way when you don't.

I bought two backpack for me and my husband for our trip to Iceland. We had heard about the numerous challenges with checked bags and decided to use carry-on only. We are so glad we did! As we traveled throughout the country, changing hotels nearly every night- these backpacks were ideal with staying mobile, organized and comfortable! Highly recommended!

Pros:
The zipper for the laptop compartment is surprisingly smooth and easy.
The material seems like it will age well in the outdoors and still look professional.
The water bottle holders are solid.
The floating divider is nice and easily accessible.
The clamshell opening is great for fast access and doesn't get the straps dirty.
Cons:
The snaps that compress the bag internally come undone too easily. Sneaky compression straps on the outside would be preferred. I re-purposed the attachment straps and use them for compression - it's a B+ solution.
The bottom of the bag has an uncomfortable ridge that pops out and hits me right in the lumbar. Wish it was a little more padded and curved away from me.
I take my laptop in and out of the sleeve with great frequency - I'm worried about how the velcro will hold up over time.

Bought this about a month ago and now used for a couple of trips. It's the perfect size to be comfortable to carry, avoid any issues with over zealous boarding staff and get enough stuff in for a good week away. As ever with Peak Design it's the attention to detail on the product that really makes it stellar, you keep finding storage pockets designed in a way that makes them very useful and well positioned. The bag as a whole works really well as both a load carrier but also keeping all the bits you need during a journey readily to hand. Just a great piece of kit, the ability to vary the size of the bag makes it very versatile. I'd recommended the packing cubes to go with the bag, they work and fit well.

My son recommended this bag to me. He purchased one to backpack South America. It was his only luggage. My husband and I travel a lot and I love just having carryon bags. I really like the bag. It's is comfortable to carry which is the most important factor for me. It is well made and had exceptional design features. Both my husband and I now have one.

Bought this, plus packing cubes, for 5 days in southern Spain. It wasn't cheap, but I thought "stuff it, time I got decent luggage". So - very well made, top quality, lots of smart design features. Would have been nice to have had some pop out wheels I suppose, but basically the hype was justified. The cubes are expensive but work really well.
