This bag has a lot going for it. 3 access points, functionality and cool design. However I think it's important to remember that all bags will have some limitations and ultimate there is no perfect bag. I purchased the 30L variety because I needed something that looks professional when I'm out on a shoot and need to bring a days worth of gear. I'm about 5'11"- 6' and 220 lbs and this bag fits just right on me, it is by no means small. If you're looking for more of an everyday "city" bag you might want to check out the 20L. The 30L, for me is a good ratio of space and functionality. I can fit two canon bodies (R5 & R6) each with a zoom lens, a DJI Mini 3 Pro fly more combo, an Insta360 cam, a DJI RS3 Pro, and a standard size tech pouch. This pretty much covers me all day. There's still some room to add a jacket and some extra snacks due to the expandable top. With all those pros there are a few cons, at least in my opinion. The oragami shelves are a great idea to give you quick organization BUTtheyre not as tight fitting around your gear as say a traditional camera back with hook and loop straps. As a result you'll have to be a little more aware of what items you put near the side access points. With the side access it would possible to have an item accidentally fall out if your zipper were to somehow open while walking. This might even happen if you open the bag in too much of a hurry and cause items to pop out. How likely is this to happen?.idk, just be aware is all. There is also no native way to lock the top pocket. PD says the latch itself provides a layer of protection but it's very easily opened. If you leave your bag places when you shoot, you're going go want to invest in some sort of luggage cable locking system. It's not a deal breaker per se but it does ruin the esthetic (again imo), I wish there was a way to do this within the bag itself, perhaps employing some anchors? And lastly the zipper placement on the inner access panels can create some friction points for your gear. It would have been great to have a piece of fabric that folds over the zipper to eliminate thatmaybe in V3. There is no rear access but this isn't that kind of bag. Aside from those few gripes I've really enjoyed this bag for what it is. It's nice to see a company that's actually trying to do something different while maintaining functionality and not sacrificing on looks.

The everyday backpack is definitely a great design by Peak Design. It is truly an everyday bag with a very modern hipster vibes. The bag however does need to be reorganized every time you want to switch up a new setup. I personally only use it for my camera gear and the size of the bag is very sleek and compact.

The backpack itself is great. Very durable. With that said, I wish it had a bit more pockets. For example, the inner part of the flap could have another pocket, and notebook slip could have a stretchable pocket as well for sliding in cards or something very thin.

Shoulder strap always loose by itself . Laptop compartment should be larger

The Everyday Backpack works well with the rest of my PD gear -- namely the anchor system and the Capture Clip. The innovative laptop storage is also pretty clever. The only downside is the weight of the bag... even when completely empty, it's significant.

I've brought this backpack on trips around the world. Its reconfigurable interior and dedicated pockets gave me plenty of ways to store my stuff. Its straps and loops allowed me to attach drones and blankets when I needed. The expandable main pocket is also nice for when I need to carry just a little more stuff. If I had one complaint, it's that the backpack is a bit heavy and too insulating for hot days. The zipper for the laptop pocket broke after a few years, but Peak Design replaced the backpack for me.

The Everyday Backpack v2 (30L) is a great backpack. Versatile, high quality and well designed. The backpack features some nice upgrades from the v1. But I must say I really don't like the way the dual side access has been redesigned. On the v1 the would open all the way up, and lay flat when the backpack was placed lying down. And the side pockets where large. On the v2 the side access don't open all the way up. And the pockets are smaller. On the other hand the v1 features som nice upgrades that the v1 was missing. All in all the Everyday Backpack is amazing. But the dual side access needs to be fixed on the v3 :-)

I bought this one because my work laptop is so huge it is no longer funny. Seriously it is 15.6 inch 2kg+ monster from 2020(!). My first choice would actually have been the 20l zip then the 20l Everyday. I love the organization. I don't carry much photo gear. I mainly use it for commuting to work or small weekend trips. I love the pockets which I mostly fill with cables, powerbanks or chargers. It is reasonably comfortable for a city backpack. The compartments are too big for smaller camera gear (Fuji, M43) that I use but I'll manage. Only real downside is the bulk and weight. Especially in public transport it is easy to hit someone or something. The backpack itself is also quite heavy. I am not that big hor muscular and I find comfort to be ok. My wife's 20l is much more comfortable. I would not really recommend the 30l version. I would look at the 20l versions of the zip and everyday first. As I said...I really needed the large laptop sleeve. A MBP 14 gets lost in there (but the compartment can be adjusted..that is great)

I've used the V1 version of this backpack for over 2 years and the V2 backpack for a couple of months now. I love the versatility of this backpack. I can use it for a quiet day at the office and an eventfull day filling it up with gear. Really love the building quality of it. Except for the zippers nothing has failed me yet (and when the zipeprs did fail, the lifetime warranty was great). For the V2 I love the updated version, it just tackles some of the drawbacks the V1 had. The only thing I don't like is the fact that both the side flaps have the same configuration and have no options for longer things like pens or flashlights. Overall. Love it, higly recommend it,

The backpack is comfortable and visually appealing. Good construction materials. Storage space is less than what I had expected partly due to the rigid shape and curvature of the interior. No outward expansion ability. Overall, a good product. Equipment carried: Nikon Z9, 70-200 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, Profoto A10 Flash, misc photo accessories.

I really like this bag. Super comfortable. The only thing I would change is to also open clamshell.

I love the bag. It holds everything I need. The only thing I wish it had was more inner pockets with zippers. For example, make the entire side panel two hidden zipper pockets! A lot of things fall out of the open pockets if I'm not constantly vertical. Otherwise, this is a great backpack for school, hiking, and photography.

The backpack is a strong one. It is very useful for me when studying, changing between carrying various things using the different flexifold compartments, and knocking through to place books in the entire interior volume. It also worked wonderfully when I worked as a content producer in the past - carrying camera, lenses and that sort. Only annoyance is that the flexifold dividers gets rather ugly when worn a bit at the edges, with strings coming off the fabric (bit that doesn't do anything to functionality).

I use this backpack daily, it fits my daily camera gear and mu daily work stuff. The only down side I have is that the capture and camera clip does not fit very well even both being peak design.

The bag is very well built, and the materials are high quality. The details are very well though-out. However, I do wish few things were done differently. I wish the internal separators would have the ability to attach to one side of the bag (the flat back side) on the inside, creating a hollow pocket that is smaller but as a result allows you to store something flat like an A5 or A4 notebook or a tablet inside the bag (without using the back laptop packets or removing the dividers all together). Additionally, I also wish the strap would have more cushioning as it does tend to get uncomfortable when wearing the bag for a while. And the fact it isn't that wide doesn't help either. Other than that (and maybe a tiny pocket on the outside above the side water bottle pockets) the backpack is great, and very well designed.

I had the original version of this product and loved it more than any pack I've ever owned. I got many compliments as I traveled. I bought the 30L version because the 20L was so great, but be aware it's too big to fit under most airplane seats. The zipper on the origianl broke and could not be repaired so they replaced it with version 2. This is also a great pack but I prefer the original colors/materials to the new one. I also prefer the design of the side pockets on the original. I really am disppointed that half of the side pockt is just a open pocket that doesn't zip shut. It's too easy for things in there to fall out. It's also just one big pocket. On the original there were several small pocket that were perfect for organizing my stuff. The side pockets are the biggest disappointment.

Everything in the introductory video is true and working, as i got the bag it had some cosmetic nicks on the leather which i didnt mind because i had an international flight, nothing to be functionally not working. Some things that can be improved is that the hooks on the front when in use pull the front of the bag outwards, that makes the top of the zippers fold inwards making them hard to open and close. The bag is heavy which is not bad considering it holds its form at 1.5 kgs, the most important thing is with a 2.5 kg laptop a full body dslr and and extra lens + an ipad, + a huge powerbank and all the accessories which are heavy, at 10 KGs it isnt hard to carry at all, it is heavy but it isnt annoying on your shoulders if you close the front strappy thingy.

I bought this backpack last august and I really like it however I would make a few recommendations. first I would add a capture passthrough on the straps, I find that the capture gets uncomfortable on longer walks/hikes when it is on the strap and I have no way of attaching the pro pad. the second recommendation I have it for the optional belt, I'm not a large person but I find the straps padded portion to be a bit short. I would recommend an extra 1.5 to 2 in in length and that would allow the capture clip to be moved a bit forward for easier access.

Two trips old, PD Everyday Backpack 30 L (I have the black one) , holds up well for me. Specifically love the side zipper , and magnetic latch. In the laptop pouch - it keeps my 16" Macbook - snug, and i also carry and 14" Official laptop in the back. The pouch case design in the main space - I can carry a DSLR (with one lens), and have organized with cubes and misc items.

I got this guy a month ago, (Ash, 20L. Its a little darker then I was hoping) and so far its been amazing. Looks pretty much like new, Everything looks and feels like a deliberate choice with plenty of thought put into it, however some pointers could be implanted in a V3 (which, I would 100% buy if it had these) First and most important issue to me is the laptop/ tablet sleeve. It fits a 16" M1 MacBook Pro, thicc body and all, and actually does it quite well. Its a little difficult to put in if the bag is full, but I'll let it slide because a) the laptop came after the bag, and b) technically speaking, the bag is supposed to fit a 15" MacBook Pro. Less impressive is the tablet compartment. Its separates the laptop from the tablet, which is awesome, and can even fit a magic keyboard folio on a 12.9" iPad Pro, but while it fits, the grippy, silicon case makes it quite difficult to put in and take out. It becomes a two step process where I have to first remove my laptop, and then grab the iPad. Sure, If it wasn't in a case, it would move much more easily, but then the screen is exposed and risks getting scratched. a stiff, crush proof divider would make this section much better imo, even if it sacrificed some space or made the bag a little bigger. Next issue is MagLatch. I mentioned the bag looks pretty much like new, and it is. It still looks really clean, there's no signs of visible wear on anything, except the MagLatch system. Because of the metal on metal contact, the hardware scratches really, really easily, and that sucks, because everything else looks so gosh darn good. A small plastic spacer would probably solve this issue, and could be incorporated with the top locking portion. Finally there's the straps. They ooze quality, and feel like a premium seatbelt. They don't fray, and feel really good in the hand, but while the rest of the bag looks so clean, the straps have nowhere to go but flap around. If they could be tucked away somewhere it would be much, much better. Magnetic Shoulder straps are a blessing though, makes it very easy to put on and they never get in the way.

So I'd give it 5 stars, but hey...5 stars is for a bag that depends from the heavens on wings cotton candy so..Peak Design don't fret. It's a great bag.... Well..with ONE suggestion. I have a black 30L version and in the dark I find myself having a slightly hard time getting the chest strap hitch in between the stitches (I end up hitting the stitches) on the right front of the shoulder strap. Maybe if there was a mark or something indicating where the optimal place is for the hitch that would help.

As with all PD products, the Everyday Backpack is stylish and outrageously well-designed. The team thought of literally everything and the bag does its job very well. However it's also unusually heavy which makes the narrow and lightly padded straps less comfortable and the bag less appealing to use overall. The frame, which maintains the bag's shape and prevents collapsing, also makes it difficult to access things in the top pocket. This is especially true when the bag is full.

For a premium, high-quality, everyday backpack, the 30L variant is awesome. The only real complaint I have about the blue color is that it picks up dust/markings pretty easily. If I rub my arm against the front of the bag, for example, it leaves a trail of skin particles that are pretty bright on the blue; this probably won't be visible on the other color options. Also the laptop sleeve, while it fits my 15-inch MacBook Pro, it is a pretty tight fit and leaves little wiggle room for the other pockets in front of the laptop sleeve area. For instance, if I have a larger backup power bank in the magnetically-closed pocket next to the laptop sleeve compartment, it makes it a really tight fit to slide my laptop though.
