Backpack was bought on PD marketplace. Overall fantastic bag. My marketplace purchase looked brand new. I used it on a trip where it help my Mavic 3, 3 extra batteries, controller, tech pouch, 16" 2021 MacBook Pro, Steam Deck, and iPad without issue. Only reason for 4/5 is the magnets that hold the straps help digging into my shoulders and easily felt even through a hoodie.

I have the black 30 l version and I am very happy overall. It looks and feels amazing. I appreciated the vegan option, however I am not sure if I would make the same choice again. It looks super cool, however you will have to wipe the exterior of the backpack quite often since it catches dust and dirt whenever it leans against the wall or other surfaces.

Bought it about a month ago. Use this one for everyday carry and for travelling. Looks great! Only problem is there's no security for the laptop section, which can be easily accessed. Yeah, there's a velcro sleeve inside and it takes some time to take out the laptop. But still there's not even a way to lock the laptop section zipper Great backpack tho

I was originally gifted a 15" Everyday Messenger bag - which I really liked for its insane storage capacity - but it ended up being too full and heavy for just the single strap. With the REI gift receipt, I went to the store and exchanged the messenger bag for a 20L Everyday Backpack (V1). I've been using the Everyday Backpack V1 for several years and while I sometimes struggle to fit everything I need into it I have certainly grown to really like the bag. On paper, the V2 looks like a worthwhile update and recently ordered one to try it out. In reality, I returned the new V2 (even though I really like the Midnight color) and will continue using my old V1. Here are reasons why I think the V2 just doesn't measure up: 1. The pockets on the inside of the zippered access points are way less useful than the old version. In the V1, each side had a large, zippered cover over a large selection of asymmetrically sized and arranged slip pockets. The V2 bag has a single slip pocket and a single zippered pocket with a couple of small slip pockets symmetrically on each side of the bag. I definitely find the new configuration to have less options for holding things and I could not transfer everything in the pockets of my V1 bag directly to the V2 bag. I truly do prefer the interior pocket arrangement of the V1 bag. There were more pockets in more varying sizes and the large zippered cover over the pockets acted as yet another large pocket while also making sure nothing in the smaller pockets wandered in the bag. 2. The zippered side access points don't open nearly as far as the old version and the opening is also smaller. The zippers have a shorter travel distance and the lids don't open to even 90-degrees and don't stay open. It has something to do with the redesign of the top of the bag and the top handle, which makes the top of the zipper not wrap to the side of the bag. This is really difficult to describe but with both bags side-by-side, it is easy to see that the zippers are different and it affects how the openings function. See my photos for reference. 3. Peak Design claimed they made the exterior side [water bottle] pockets larger. I did not see any difference between the pockets. On both bags, they barely fit my 18L Yeti Rambler bottle. I can't really complain, though, as it is one of very few Peak Design bags that actually have a bottle pocket (which is often one big reason why I will grab the backpack instead of a sling). There are a lot of other subtle differences between the old and new bags the shoulder straps with magnet retention works okay, the new attachment points for the accessory straps are a slight improvement but still not perfect, the laptop sleeve is over-engineered while the sternum strap is still a bit of pain to install or remove. The Mag-Latch and main compartment lid haven't really changed and the Flex-Fold dividers are pretty much the same. None of these are notable positives or negatives. Overall, if you don't already have a Peak Design Everyday Backpack and think you could use one - buy it - you probably won't regret it. For me, though, I will stick with my old V1 Charcoal that still looks and works like new-ish.

This is a great backpack. The shelf system and the side access is the biggest plus. You can totally stuff your backpack and still access everything in a way that would be almost impossible with a normal backpack. Also, the design is durable and high quality. Plus, the external carry straps and the loops they attach to are very useful. Great to have the option for a little more carrying capacity. My small complaints are: The water bottle pockets are a bit tight. I think just a little more stretch in the elastic would make things a lot easier. A quick-access pocket on the outside of the backpack would be really nice. The pocket in the laptop compartment might serve that purpose, but for me, it's a bit tight to reach in there quickly, especially when the backpack is fully loaded. The external carry straps are a great feature, but the way they attach to the backpack is a little cumbersome. They are very low profile and I think that's the idea, but it's difficult to get them on and off the loops. The straps could be more comfortable. I have the 20L, so it never gets too heavy, but a little more padding on the straps would be nice. Also, there should be some dedicated spots on the strap to attach a Capture Clip. I found myself experimenting a bit and I ended up having to cover one of the spots to place the sternum strap (the lowest rung). The zipper pockets on the side panels are too small. It's hard to reach in there when anything with some width is in the small internal pockets. I would prefer the laptop compartment to be a little roomier. With a laptop and tablet in their, it gets a little tight.

1) the adjustment straps are just dangling from the bag 2) the magnets keeping the shoulder straps attached to the pack when not wearing had come out of their socket and are freely moving under the fabric 3) a little front heavy, it can't stay upright and falls over even when placing it against something heavy. That's kind of it, either way it's been great so far.

very nice design (so you can see a lot of "modified copies" on the market). One thing I wish is that it has the zip flap for inner side pockets just like V1 so my stuffs in those pockets won't flying around

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I wanted to keep this so badly. It’s sleek and stylish. It’s functional. I loved all the magnetic closures and thoughtful additions like loops on the corners. I just wish it was 25L. The 20 L was a little too small and I also purchased the 30L but it was a little too big. Still looking for the perfect commute bag.

Having bought this a couple weeks ago, I was heavily indecisive between this pack and the WANDRD Prvke backpack. I decided to pick this one with the promises of high quality and detail. It did not disappoint, there is no doubt that the detail and quality in the materials chosen and the intricate details of the backpack truly make the pack stand out. I found it admirable that Peak is pushing the market in a different direction, I found the shelves to be a really interesting new way to use a backpack, approaching it from 3 directions as opposed to the primitive top sack opening. I also appreciated the magnetic touches on this pack, the mag latch and the little pocket locks are a really nice addition that is lacking in many techpacks these days. I did however find some capabilities to be lacking of this pack, I felt that it was not the most intuitive camera carry, however its modularity allowed it to delve a little bit into photography gear carry, but enough to be able to be used for other cases. I did find my lenses to be too small and not secure in the shelves, sometimes my gear would slip down from the shelf to shelf too. I think the straps need more love, I've seen plenty of reviews saying it isn't the best, and its integration with the capture clip could use some more love as well. I typically use most of the back day to day and the strap often leaves me a little sore.

I bought the 20L Everyday Backpack about a month ago and have enjoyed using it for the commute to and from the office. It fits everything I need (portfolio, computer, phone, earbuds, misc. notes, and sometimes even a sweater), and is comfortable to wear. My only complaint would be with how easily the black color shows specs of dirt, but so far it has been very easy to clean by wiping down the surface with a damp washcloth. So far so good!

I wanted this bag for an everyday carry. Just didn't work out. This bag is very compartmentalized for camera gear, which I'm sure it would be great for. For my needs, it was just too padded with not enough room inside. Like all PD gear it is well made and amazing looking.

The goods, If you are looking for a bag that doesn't scream camera back this is the bag. The bag is built with good quality, and good designs on how to fully use the bag. The bad for me, your usage may be different depending your camera equipment. I struggle trying to find a usable and secure setup for my Nikon 7II, 24-70 F2 lens, and 70-200 F2 lens. I wish the dividers had more padding and more thoughts for the bigger lenses for the backpack.

Let me start out by saying I am a big PD fan. I have the every day backpack in 21l and 31l, the every day messenger, tripods in aluminum and carbon fiber, the 6l sling, the capture clip, and 3 camera straps, even the freaking iphone case. I love the design of the backpack. It's neck and neck with the Wandrd PRVKE as the best looking camera backpacks. I used to shoot Sony and Leica M. I sold my Sony and moved to Canon and the RF L series lenses. The 21l became way too small. It was awkward even to hold the R5 + 28-70. I spoke to other photographers and upgraded to the 31l. The 31l will hold my camera, 3 L series lenses, and even my strobe. But the size makes me look like I am going camping. And seriously, where is the sage color?! I settled for the Navy, which is yawn, just like the grey and charcoal. Overall love the quality, material, and design. I guess there is no perfect backpack. But PD will always be my love and hate backpack, 90% love, of course.

I've purchased two prior V1 bags and was excited to try out the newest version Unfortunately no physical peak design stores in my country. When i received it great anesthetic as usual just quality of the materials is noticeable thinner/less durable then the V1. Wished they kept same materials. The midnight navy is an excellent color

Super stylish, holds a ton when expanded. Haven't tested durability since I've only had a month but seems durable and sounds like a great warranty. Would be 5 stars but is a little on the heavier side.

Love the design and all the thought put into it. Can carry my camera around easily now, and have some extra space to put stuff in for my kids at the top. The only think is that while it says it works with 15in laptops, and it kinda does. You really have to shove your laptop in there. Probably some slimmer models would work better, but it is really tight. Can't help it I guess, but still, really tight there.

I really like my Everyday Backpack V2...used it for a couple trips so far. I'm not a camera guy and don't store any camera equipment. But it does fit a lot of things: M2 MacBook Air, iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard case, Steam Deck, Tech Pouch, Kindle, AirPods Max inside a slim case. I really like the backpack design and all the little things: magnetic back straps, magnetic pouches, luggage strap, latch mechanism, the dividers, the ability to remove and reposition dividers (I'm only using 2). Was debating on the black version and ultimately kept it. My skin would graze the backpack and it would create a mark. But soon found out that a quick wipe with damp cloth cleaned it easily. Couple of issues: The laptop compartment is super tight. I see pouches inside the laptop area to fit a charger, cables, etc but I dont see how that's possible if you fit a laptop and a tablet. Even with a super thin laptop (M2 MacBook Air) and an iPad Pro, it's annoyingly tight. Just a few more mm here would've really helped. I do like the laptop size velcro that lifts the laptop internally closer to the top. The Steam Deck fits vertically only (no surprise) but if I face the screen outwardly, it could scratch on the zipper mechanism on the left side. So I face it inwardly which further restricts space horizontally in the bag (the game controller grips would no lounger contour to the inner shape of the bag) since it's right up against the tech pouch (completely full). This means I can't put anything in either zippered compartment on the left or right side of the bag due to horizontal space constraints. Not the end of the world but a covered zipper lining would've really helped here. The top compartments on either side of the bag are magnetic so no issues there. Even after a month of getting acquainted with the V2 version of his backpack, I still miss my V1. Accessing the top pocket as easier over the shoulder. The side pockets are less useful, and I can't store as much in them. The hidden pocket on the lip of the main opening is smaller than it used to be, for what seems like no reason. All that being said, it's still a good backpack, and if the v1 isn't being sold anymore it's a pretty decent second place. I hope that, in addition to fixing everything I mentioned, the v3 backpack includes the side pockets built into the water bottle holders the way that the Travel Bag does. Those are so convenient, I'd be able to stop having to use the top pocket.

The backpack gets a little dirty easily when being used. First time i got the product, i think i got a defective bag but the warranty process was very efficient. The only problem with the warranty claim was the import duty set by the company which PD refunded me for.

This bag is great looking, great build, and really good at transporting camera gear. Unfortunately, I was looking for a multi-purpose bag that could double as an everyday work bag and camera transport during my work travels. A work backpack typically has a lot of pockets, pouches, and storage areas for your everyday items. This bag just does not have that functionality. The dividers do a great job at organizing large items, but space for your glasses, pens, keyboard, and mouse is just not there. It would be really great to see Peak Design develop an office-style insert where you can remove the dividers and have additional pockets, compartments, and areas for your office items to be properly stored Now, my camera gear stays in the bag, and I have gone back to my old backpack for 90% usage.

Absolutely fantastic build quality that Peak is known for, no question. Lots of great features. The only downside for all those extra features is weight. The thing is very heavy for a backpack. I guess all the magnets, padding and durable materials add up. I'll use it for a while but might end up selling it for something lighter.

This is a great backpack for photographers! The different layers and levels are great for different lenses. However, I would prefer more flexibility for the dividers because some day-to-day items are hard to fit. I also got the Google collaboration special edition! Super cool design.
