I've had other camera bags such as Peter Mckinnon's lighter version of the camera bag. However, this peakdesign everyday backpack is the one that I carry the most with me. It's super solid and I'm pretty sure even if I drop the bag super high from the ground, my gear will be practically intact.

The Peak Design Everyday Backpack is a sleek and stylish backpack designed for photographers, commuters, and travelers who need a versatile and functional bag to carry their gear. The bag is available in a range of sizes and colors to suit different needs and preferences. One of the standout features of the Everyday Backpack is the FlexFold dividers, which allow you to customize the interior of the bag to fit your specific gear and keep it organized. The dividers can be adjusted quickly and easily, and they provide excellent protection for your equipment. The FlexFold dividers are what make this backpack valuable for me. At first, I couldn't see the added value, but then when I tried it - coming from a Bobby XDDesign - I immediately felt the bigger space and organization options. The backpack also features a variety of pockets and compartments, including a laptop sleeve, a quick-access top pocket, and side pockets for water bottles or tripods. The zippers and buckles on the bag are high-quality and durable, and they allow for easy access to your gear while keeping it secure. The backpack is made from weatherproof 400D nylon canvas, which is both rugged and lightweight. The bag also has a comfortable and breathable back panel and shoulder straps, making it easy to carry for extended periods of time. Overall, the Peak Design Everyday Backpack is an excellent choice for anyone who needs a versatile and functional backpack for daily use, or even short trips. It's well-designed, durable, and offers plenty of room for your gear while keeping it organized and protected. While it is a bit pricier than some other backpacks on the market, it's worth the investment if you're looking for a high-quality bag that will last for years to come.

great! Been using it for the last month everyday and it feels natural to carry it around. The handles and the zippers make it so easy to use it on the go, and even after using it under rain last few days, it did just fine in terms of the water resistance. Would recommend!

I'm a professional photographer traveling throughout Maui, Kauai, Oahu and the Big Island weekly - and this backpack is the very best bag to travel with - on the planes, to the beaches, on hikes through valleys and waterfalls, volcanoes and helicopters, and during the most stormiest weather conditions. My camera bodies, lenses, accessories, Peak tripod, and even my 15" laptop stays dry, secure and safe!

I've had this bag for about 2 years now. Bought it for travel, but loved it so much I quickly began carrying it every day ( no pun intended). It's solid for camera equipment use on the reg, but I use it daily as a work bag with my laptop and all my design peripherals. It's beyond easy to reorganize for whatever I need on any given day. Even just as a glorified diaper bag for a day at the zoo with my kid. It felt like a big expense upfront, but it's certainly paid for itself over time. After a few years of use, an issue developed with one of the strap tighteners, and Peak Design made it super easy to get a replacement with absolutely no hassle. I'll carry this bag until I die.

I was hesitant about signing on to the PD backpack train given the fairly hefty price tag, but it was one of my best purchases ever. The design truly could not be more thoughtful; they've anticipated my every need. It has all of the nooks and crannies in just the right spot so that I can keep my bag fully loaded with everything I'll ever need, without any of it getting in the way. It looks great and feels great too. My one complaint is that after a year or two of moderate use, one of the straps completely gave out on me. PD sent me a replacement bag very promptly (thanks customer support!) which was great, and luckily it happened while I was at home, so no big deal. I use the bag a lot while traveling, though, and I could have been in a real bind if it had happened midway through a trip. Hopefully just an isolated incident and not indicative of a broader quality issue.

Before I make a purchase, I compare every a variety of competitive, similar products, about a dozen times and for this purchase, I sat on it for ~2 months. I also compared other options and variations that Peak Design offers. I finally decided on the Everyday Backpack V2 30L and I could not be happier with the purchase I made. I want to start this off by saying that I do photography, but that is not necessarily what I purchased this bag for. I needed a backpack that has a dedicated spot for my laptop, intuitive pockets, that was spacious and that I could travel with when that time comes. I tend to prefer smaller, less "bulky" accessories and tech so I was looking into the 20L and the options that the Everyday Zip comes in. I decided on the 30L for piece of mind that I will have space if I need it and I love that this pack is only 30L once expanded, and less when fully closed, as that is a nice option to have when going on a trip versus wearing it around a city. I have been on several trips since receiving the pack, while using it regularly to go to and from work and it has been the perfect companion. Coming from a traditional backpack with a laptop sleeve, I often found myself rummaging around inside, looking for something that I packed. Because this backpack has dividers, I can section off the inside, and easily access anything I need via the sides or top. The Maglatch that holds the top closed is super satisfying to lock/unlock and the zippers glide smoothly when accessing the sides. The handle on the top and two on the sides, makes this pack super easy to handle, whether you're in and out of an Uber or putting it on your desk beside you. In my previous backpack, I inserted a protective laptop case inside the laptop pocket for extra protection, and now I don't have to worry about that anymore. After adjusting the inside pocket, my precious laptop fits perfectly and feels protected. I love that this pack doesn't look like a camera bag, but just a really cool looking backpack. The external shell looks good and I have walked through pouring rain without the consequence of anything getting wet. I utilize all the inner pockets, the outside water bottle sleeves for my coffee, the chest strap when carrying extra weight, the external straps for attaching an extra jacket...I could go on and on. In conclusion, this backpack is the functionality of camera bag access/organization, married with the intuitive, attention to detail that one expects from a Peak Design product, with the everyday person in mind. it's not just for photographers - I have only carried my camera in my pack a couple times. The Everyday Backpack will cement you as a loyal Peak Design fan, and I recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect backpack.

This bag is so incredible it's hard to describe. It is so functional and every little detail has been considered. The quality of the materials is insane. The fabric of the bag is this tough, slightly rough feeling fabric that looks amazing, and is very durable. The zips are very high quality, and open up functional compartments. I've never seen a bag offer side zip access to the main body, I was very skeptic all at first but I cannot imagine a bag without it now. It means that your entire bag is immediately accessible, not just the stuff on top. The internal dividers can be customized to whatever you want. I was concerned the Velcro would suck but they are very tough. It feels very solid to organize your own personal compartments to fit your needs. The Maglatch is super cool. Best way to open a bag ever. Magnets: so many magnets and they simply work. They make an ordinary pocket a luxury pocket. It all just makes so much sense. It feels weird to gush this much over a work backpack but this thing is insane. Things I don't love as much: 1. The laptop pouch is tight. I have a 12.9 iPad Pro and a M2 MBP 14 inch. They both fit no problem, and the adjustable thing to keep your laptop right at the top of the spot is genius. The issue is that I have a thin leather Apple cover on my iPad. If the laptop is in there you need super human finger strength to get the iPad out. It's pretty tight. The laptop is metal and slips in and out easily. If you had no case on the iPad (or a slippery case) it would be fine. But who wants a slippery iPad case?! Really not a deal breaker because the two slot laptop/iPad compartment is very cool. 2. The chest strap buckle takes some getting used to. I like it now but it took a bit to get used to how it worked. That's all I got. Otherwise this bag is insane. It's also pricey! But once you get it and use it, you'll know why. Money well spent IMO.

The design of this bag is truly brilliant. It's incredibly thoughtfully designed. The materials are robust. This is the bag by which other backpacks should be compared. My expectations were high and they were still completely blown away.

I spent a LONG time looking for the perfect bag and am so glad I came across this one. It's absolutely 100% worth the money because it's so high quality. The laptop pocket is way safer than other bags and there's the perfect amount of space for everything I need for work. The zippers and magnet closure are so great and it's really comfortable to wear while commuting through NYC. Highly highly highly recommend!!

When I first saw the design I knew I wanted it. I have taken it to multiple photo shoots and several states and it still looks as good as the day it arrived! I have since invested in several other PEAK products.

The ability to sort and organize my things in various ways depending on my needs is amazing! The removable and movable Velcro dividers make it super easy to store things I may not need a lot and keep things I need at the top of the bag. I love the side panel access on both sides and used that frequently. The two laptop and tablet storage pockets are great for travel when I need to carry both items. I used this as a carry on for my last flight and it fit under the seat in front of me. Love this backpack!

So, I'm a pilot, and I use this bag for nothing photography related, but I'm obsessed with the organizational aspect of the Peak Design backpack. I can fit my headset, my books, my sentry, laptop, iPad, batteries, cables, badges, etc all in a very very organized location all without it looking like a bunch of garbage throw into a bag. The Maglatch is my favorite thing ever, I use it all the time to access my books, while I use the side zippers to access the contents while my bag is on a table or in the aircraft. Had a few loose threads upon arrival, but I just cut the loose ends off and I haven't had any issues regarding integrity of sewn joints. Iv had my students ask about this bag and tell me they were interested in it many times. I highly recommend to anybody.

I did the YouTube deep dive before getting this pack, and I went to the trouble of traveling an hour away to my nearest camera store so I could really see and feel the different options for myself. From the quality to the functionality to the styling, I'm thrilled with this Peak Design pack. One of the employees at the camera store tried to point me toward another brandand it was indeed nice. But it was rugged where the Peak Design pack was elegant. I love every little detail, especially the magnetic closures in key places. I can finally access my laptop easily while keeping my camera and lenses safewith some space left over for toiletries and tech gear.

To be able to get into this bag from any side is choice. When you're crammed in economy class and your bag is under the seat Please look like my, it's extremely helpful if you want to get what you need out of the bag without having to dig it all the way through the bag down to the bottom. If you travel with a lot of small things, self adjusting compartments are extremely valuable.

I purchased the 30-liter Everyday BackPack for work. I always pack a bulky lunch box, severalfolders for documents, and a couple of small books with plenty of space to spare when I occasionally pack a windbreaker for those cold NYC days. My Mac AirBook and Lenovo 13-inch ThinkPad fit comfortably in the laptop compartment. I also love being able to pack my thermosand umbrella in the exterior pockets. It's a beautifuland well-designed bag, and I'll probably be a fan for life.

I have been using the backpack for three months now and have no notes on how to improve it. The ability to attach things on the outside of it made it so I could take it as m only bag on three trips so far. Just overall very pleased, I feel like the description was very thorough and it lived up to the expectation.

I'm not sure what I can add that hasn't already been said, but this is a backpack well worth the investment. I can't even tell how many hours I spent researching various high-end backpacks, but if you're in the same boat you're considering this one for all the right reasons. The improvements from V1 are well executed. The only thing I have found to be any kind of inconvenience are the very small pockets inside the left panel. That's no point against, because I'm sure that'd be a great feature for some, I just haven't found them useful for my use-case. I'm no photographer, so I've been using this for my EDC to the office, and I gotta tell you it's fantastic. I can easily keep my gym clothes, shoes, and sweater in the backpack. All while having my 16" M1 MBP (the thicc boi) and 12.9" iPad Pro (with case) in the back sleeves. With it being that fully loaded, I thought it might be cumbersome, but the straps keep it very comfortable on bike rides into the office! I've also absolutely pushed this backpack to the limit with fitting a full set of terrain for meeting up at a FLGS for a game of Warhammer Kill team. It also fit my battlefoam mini bag in the top, two spiraled rulebooks (~150 pages each), and iPad pro. Even with it being totally stuffed, I was still able to get a water bottle into the side (which was kind of surprising). It also absolutely bucketed down rain during a couple commutes, and nothing in the bag was even damp when I got to the office. I'm guessing the widened top from the V2 design was to thank for that. I came from using a GR1 for my EDC. While being an extremely durable backpack, the lack of storage options ended up being an issue with getting a new job that allowed commuting into an office more frequently.

I bought this roughly a month ago now and it is a great bag for a photographer. I love how much weight it can support and how comfortable it is. Also, it can easily attached a capture and clip onto it. The only downside for me is that I'm used to opening up a camera bag from the top, but this opens up on the side. Whilst this is good for when you want to sling it over your shoulder to pull something out, I find it a little bit irritating sometimes because when it is really filled up you're having to pull multiple things out just to get to the middle of each column as you can't open it up from the top. However, I'm sure I'll get very used to it soon and besides that it is an amazing bag for photography!
