I was excited to try Altra's for the wider toe box but I now have shin splints for the first time ever after wearing these. And yes, I did acclimate my feet to the zero drop.

The Original Rivera was the perfect fit. My favorite shoe. I purchased the next Rivera 2 and it's completely different. There is not structure in the foot bed so lateral movement is not supported. It seems cheaper too. Bring back the original Rivera. Don't mess with a good thing. I wish I could return them but it's too late.

Why did you narrow your shoes. Now I can only get hiking shoes in the original footshape. The first pair of Paradigms I got were perfect. The 2nd pair are narrower. I had to move the shoelaces up a notch in order to get them to work. The rivera 2 is too narrow and I have narrow feet. Who can wear these? Now I have to drive back to the store and hope I can find something that will work for my feet.

They just stretch out so quickly, and the cushioning is not what I wanted, just too little. I keep trying to stick with Altra but every pair I buy an pay a lot of money for just doesn't measure up to the first that they made.
