Would be better if sleeve lining was nylon, easier for child she wearing a sweater

Size, quality, and warmth very good but sheds tiny feathers like crazy. More than any coat I've seen.

My daughter picked out this jacket for herself at our local L.L.Bean store. She says it is warm and cozy.

Struggling this season to find a warm winter coat for our daughter. When the jacket arrived I though "sucess!". It has great features like a removable zip off hood, fleece wrist cuffs, handwarmer pockets and fuzzy fleece lining. What it doesn't have though, is a drawcord at the bottom of the jacket to keep out cold drafts and a hood drawcord. We tried several brands of jackets this season and for some reason they all had this issue. Not sure why designers are leaving out this crucial feature! So frustrating. The Patroller jacket from a few seasons back was AMAZING. Snow skirt and bottom drawcord, nice big zip hood-ALL the features. We rarely get deep powder days here in the NE but it's nice to have both features for play/ski.

I bought the 4 and 5 sizes for my average-size, almost 5 year old. The 5 fit him better length-wise and I wanted him to grow into it. However, sleeves on the 5 were WAY too long. And since they have the shirt-type sleeves inside, they can't be rolled up. So we kept the 4 and its comfortable and warm but won't last him more than the next few months.

Warm coat, comfortable for my 3 yo. It's functional. I will say it is a bit boxy, that's the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Haven't had it long but it seems to keep my toddler pretty warm

I did not like the color of the jacket or its lining. Too dark for a 6 year old girl.

Love the jacket. I have bought for my granddaughter before. Hate the bland purple color.

great jacket , just wish the fleece was more like polartech...not sure the fleece will hold up.

The sizing is a bit off--- I had to return the 14/16 because it was WAY too big, but am worried my son will outgrow the 10/12 way too soon. Other than that a great quality coat.

Warm yet light weight and very comfortable. Color looks great with everything.

These jackets are very warm. I wish they came in more boy colors. I need two colors for my two boys.

Wish it was warmer! Wish it had more goose or duck down to keep my daughter warm in these chilly New England winters! She has to wear a heavy sweater and down vest under it! But otherwise we love the soft purple color and style!

This is a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. I can just rate it for good quality.

We really love how warm and stylish the jacket is. However, the zipper gets stuck whenever my daughter zips it up all the way. She's had multiple situations where she got stuck in the jacket and even with adults helping her get the zipper unstuck, it was almost impossible to do.

She loves her coat keeps her warm,feather do come out the coat sometimes.

It's bigger than I expected. My son is 5 1/2 years old and I order a 5/6. He normally wears a 5T in Gap and Cat & Jack by Target. But this jacket is pretty big on him. The sleeves completely cover his hands. The only other option would be a 4 and I can't imagine ordering that size when he's halfway to 6 years of age. As for quality, it's a beautiful coat and seems to be high quality. I chose gray since the other 2 colors were 'girly' colors according to him. I have noticed also, that with most of LL Bean's coats and jackets they have more color choices for the girls than the boys. What's up with that?? Anyway, we are keeping the coat bc we know it's a quality coat and he needs it right now. We will roll the sleeves up and he will grow into it.

I have to first say that my daughter hasn't worn this yet as I bought it for next winter. But, the fabric and materials are excellent. The fit was what I expected, and it will wash nicely which is a huge asset for a kid's jacket. Definitely Happy about the purchase!

We purchased two of these jackets in December 2019; one for my son it a boys 18 and one for my daughter. The jacket fits great and is warm. However, after only a handful of wears my daughters has feathers coming out from what appears to be a pin size hole. Wish it help up better. Love the black coat.

I have purchased this coat for my son and daughter over the past 4 years. It is great coat; however, the fit of this coat is different from the previous ones that I purchased. The sleeves are a bit bulkier.

I bought two of these, a 10/12 for my 8 year old and a 14/16 for my 10 year old. Both kiddos run large and my 10 y/o is usually a size 14 so both jackets fit perfectly. They are really nice, the lining and outside appear good quality. We love llbean! We are usually in Texas but are east in NC/NY this year so these jackets should be perfect. They aren't to constricting and the kiddos have room to layer if needed. They are def warm.It was 40 degrees when they arrived and my daughter had to take it off she was hot! The only criticism I have is on the price. I got them for $99 and then the 25% off coupon. The tags on them say $89. It would appear that they should have been $89?Either way for $75 which is what I paid they are well worth it and should last this year and next.

My son loves his new jacket. It's water resistant and keeps him warm

This jacket fits a thin 5 yr old boy with enough leeway for roominess for next year. He likes the jacket and the colors complement his blonde hair and blue eyes. It is very cozy and comfortable.

My son is average 12 year old size. I like the zipper pockets so he won't lose his gloves. There isnt a lot of growing room so he will need small mens size next year.
