We love this backpack! Simple, great size for elementary school, durable material. Pattern and colors are bright and beautiful. Only problem - our teacher spilled gorilla glue all over it and we can't get it out.... zipper won't work now because of the glue. Wish we could replace it.

I had an LL Bean book bag in high school, purchased this print bag for a college student as a gift and excited to say - they are still the same! Quality you can feel!

Our granddaughter picked the color and the color of the monogram. She loves it with her name on it.

Third one I've bought for grandkids....love them. They hold up well. I've even washed them in the machine....came out great!!!

This backpack is sturdy and well made. It seems like it is going to hold up well for my daughter who is in kindergarten. I think it may be able to be used for 2 or 3 years.

I ordered the blue camo original backpack for my son to start kindergarten. The quality is outstanding, ordering over the phone was extremely easy, the LL Bean representative was very helpful and the delivery was very quick. Happy with my purchase, my son loves his new backpack.

This backpack not only looks good it functions well and has so far been very durable. It's easy to clean, spacious, and has plenty of pockets, as well as a great water bottle pocket. My kindergartener loves it ... and the matching lunchkit!

I have been getting my daughter's backpacks at LLBean since kindergarten and she's going into 4th grade next week. Her backpacks always come out so beautiful. She picked out the color and I picked out the font and it looks amazing!

I bought the blue camo style for my son. I love the color and style, however....if you decide to monogram...do NOT go with the "suggested" color choice of black or dark navy. I can barely even see his name. The "suggested" thread color should be lighter or brighter. Just a heads up. Unfortunately, he will have to make due with this goof up on my part for the next few years. Sometimes I feel like the monogramming dept. should contact you if they feel like there may be some trouble seeing it. Oh well....he loves the pack and it is super comfortable. This is our third backpack from Bean, and they are very durable!

I had a friend tell me to get an L.L Bean backpack for my son who started kindergarten this year, so I did and I was not disappointed! The quality is great, usually the zippers on kids bags are awful but this one is not! I was worried it would be too big for my 5 years old but it fits him perfectly and he really likes it. I also had his name embroidered on the front. I only wish the font was a little larger and I would have picked a better color because it blends in fairly well and cannot notice it unless really looking. But overall I am satisfied!

As always, this backpack is excellent. The zippers are sturdy, the print is bright, the shoulder straps are comfortable, and the monogram is beautiful. I have several LL Bean backpacks and the old ones still look as good as new.

My son loved this print, so I got it despite being weary of the color name of "blush pink". We were pleasantly surprised when it arrived and it isnt' that pink at all! So, don't let the name deter you :) Perfect size for my 4th grader. Great construction and quality. I expect to have it for years to come.

Hands down, the best backpack you can buy and super affordable. I love not having to worry about replacing my kids backpacks 2-3 times a year. The quality is outstanding. Purchased the deluxe backpack also and both are so roomy.

My son went through 2 "character" backpacks last year in kindergarten. They are cute and kids are highly attracted to them, but they just don't last! The loop at the top ripped and the zipper broke! So... for this year in first grade we ordered an LL Bean backpack for him. I remember when I was in school mine lasted through all of high school!! Years of wear and tear! These backpacks hold up!! Lots of space and compartments for all your school necessities. My son is excited to start first grade with his new shark print LL Bean backpack!

I ordered two sets of original book packs and matching lunch boxes for my granddaughters. They love them. They are all well made and the prints are really nice. I am very pleased with these products.

We started with the glow in the dark backpack last year and after seeing the abuse that it withstood from a first grader, we had to buy another "backup." We went with the original (camo landscape) this time and it feels just as sturdy! Theeen we bought one more (shark print) for our son who isn't even in school yet so that he could have a bag for going to the grandparent's house overnight. We won't go with another brand as long as these are available!

The granddaughter was very pleased with her new book pack and lunch box. Not her first Bean book bag and she still got a big smile on receiving it. More importantly, it was Mother approved. A winner all around.
