My son loves his new backpack. The material is very durable and easy to clean. It has plenty of room for all of his things.

At first the backpack is a little stiff, so its not totally comfortable on the shoulders, but thats because its built to last. My son got one 6 years ago and its still going strong. This tie die one for my daughter has improved shoulder strap design from the one 6 years ago, and will be more comfortable once its broken in. If you like to keep using your stuff for a long time, this one is for you!

My daughter is so excited for her new backpack! She had the same LL Bean Original Book Pack for all of elementary school (and it's still in great shape!) and knew she wouldn't get a new one until she went to middle school. As a teacher I have seen so many kids come to school with new backpacks that don't even last the school year (straps break, zippers break, seams rip, etc.). When I had my own children I was determined to buy them good backpacks that would last for years. LL Bean backpacks do! My two high school aged daughters are still using their backpacks that they got when they stared middle school, too.

This is my high school age daughter's favorite book bag. She has had many of them throughout her school career. They always hold up nicely. Very well made.

Wonderful backpack! I purchased this for a 9 year old who wanted a "rainbow" backpack. What I like about the pattern is that it will grow with her. Most rainbow backpacks I found elsewhere were clearly only really meant for a very young child. I also love how many pockets this bag has. Plenty of ways to keep organized, and the reflective strip on the back is a nice touch. The LLBean logo is hardly noticeable.

I absolutely love this backpack! It's lasted for 4 years going onto 5 this school year. Still great quality and has held up through the years of kindergarten-3rd. Kids are rough and still has held up

I wish my 9 year old didn't need a backpack this big but, the reality is: she does! It holds her giant binder, laptop, and lunchbox easily. She complained that it was stiff when it first arrived, but it loosened up nicely. Great value.

My elementary schooler picked this out for back to school. It is on the big side but has excellent storage with so many pockets/compartments. The material seems very durable, and I like that there is a strip of reflective material for extra safety with crossing the street. Hoping to get several years of use out of this one!

My granddaughter loved this print. The superb quality makes it a predictably great backpack that will not wear out rather be replaced by a new print.

I have 4 kids. My oldest son is VERY hard on his back packs. It actually amazed me the amount of damage that he could inflict on the $20 store bags within a few months. When he started school he wanted a typical character store back pack. We went through 5 of those back packs in 2 years before I finally decided he needed a higher quality bag. When he entered 2nd grade I purchased a different name brand that had high ratings but was much higher in price. That bag lasted 1 full year before it was damaged beyond repair which was still an upgrade, but for the price I had hoped it could last a little longer. Finally, when my son entered 3rd grade I purchased the LL Bean Deluxe bag with the hopes of it lasting past 1 year. That was over 4 years ago and I just cleared out that bag to get him ready to enter 7th grade. I still cannot believe the quality of the bag. I have already purchased the same bag for my other 2 school aged children. I cannot recommend this bag enough.

My daughter loves her new book pack. It is very well made and will last her for years. We chose not to get in embroidered from LL Bean because the letters on the last item we ordered were extremely small. We also got the matching lunchbox with the strap and she loves it as well.

This is my fifth book bag purchase! Each kiddo gets one when they go into 2nd grade. One of these is the smaller one for outings. Two have held up all the way through high school and one through college. That is why I keep coming back, they are built to last

I bought this backpack as a gift. They loved the color & can't wait to use. It was a big hit !
