My 8 year old picked this out, he has been using it for summer camp and it is holding up so well! Hoping to get several years out of it. I used mine from 3-12 grade.

I purchased this for my son that is going into first grade. I was sick of purchasing backpacks that would break on him. This bag will hopefully last him a while but if it does not, LL Bean has my back and will ship out a replacementy. This is one of the largest bags but it has two large compartments and it is nice to have a separate compartment since he can keep his things a bit more organized. I also have this bag from when I was in highschool. It is just a great bag and also this one has a lot of the same details. There is a compartment that is for phones or small technology and is in a softer fabric. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

Just the right size with lots pocket. Got to replace one that was stolen.

Gorgeous print in a backpack that has multiple pockets and holds a lot.

I needed to replace my previous Deluxe BookPack (which lasted almost 15 years) and decided to go with the same model - I've used it for a couple of weeks so far and it is just as great as the old one. I like the water bottle pockets (which can hold my 32 oz Nalgene). I'm a little concerned about how thin the bottom of the bag is but time will tell how well it holds up.

I got this backpack for my daughter for camp this summer, and it didn't disappoint. She has to pack so much gear every day, and I never have a problem finding room in this bag. Not to mention, she loves the design!

I purchased for my granddaughter's birthday . She will be able to use it for many years.

Ordered this backpack for my 12 year-old granddaughter (She picked out the color). It is exactly as was depicted on line. It is roomy, sturdy and she loves the pattern! I have ordered LL Bean backpacks for my own kids since the 1980's. They have always lasted for years and years. This one appears to be the same high-quality construction and I expect it to also last. We ordered two of these six years ago for our two older children. They have held up fantastically. We recently ordered one for our third children, and he loves it. Thank you for making a great backpack.

It's been a while since I had to get one of these. The one I still have from 2002 is still great and sturdy. So naturally my choice for a gift to someone who wanted a new backpack was one of these. I am simply amazed at all the updates these bags have received. It still feels like the same great quality as well. I just wish I could add the updates to my old bag.

Love this backpack! My kiddos have a lot of school books to bring home, and often forgot their other belongings at school due to lack of space in their old backpacks. No more misplaced items with the many, many pockets ! I bought these for 8 year olds- they're a bit big, but I know they will last as they grow into them, and hopefully the prints continue to be something the kids like over the next several years.

My last L.L. Bean backpack like this one lasted over 20 years. This backpack is sturdy, well made, very roomy and has the perfect amount of openings for my books, binders, tablet, pen, pencils, personal items, lunch, water... It is comfortable to wear. Easy to take on and off. In a nutshell it is perfect for me. I had mine monogrammed with my name. I highly recommend this backpack.

Absolutely perfect, replacing my 25 year old L.L. Bean book pack just like this. Great workmanship, monogramming was perfect, carries my books, binder, tablet and accessories. Very comfortable to wear.

We bought this pack for my daughter and the laptop pack for my son. This pack is significantly larger and easily fits her chrome, books, and maybe too much else! The fabric is a nice matte. Wish the solid colors were not shiny and we would have bought one of those for my son, although he does like his laptop pack despite the smaller size. Both packs have held up extremely well over the last several months.

Perfect for air travel as it fits beautifully under the seat. There's a zippered spot inside that is handy for your ID. The pack easily holds a book, a couple of magazines, sweater, snacks, iPadanything you'd need for air travel.

My son loves his backpack! He was so excited to bring it to school. There is plenty of space and ways to organize

This is a great backpack, as good as it was when I was a kid and had essentially the same model decades ago.
