Love the color and the monogram.

Durable material, lots of pockets, comfy bag padding, perfect size & fit for a tall 8 year old. Pleased with our purchase!

We've bought this backpack over and over again for our 3 preteen/teenage daughters. The quality is fantastic and size is big enough to carry the many school supplies they need every day. However, this most recent bag has an issue. One of the side mesh pockets which carries her water bottle is starting to give out after only 4 weeks of use. I need to contact customer service to see what can be done but I'm expecting nothing but the best service from such a great company.

Really love this backpack!!! Lots of storage and plenty of room inside.

Got this pack when my kiddo went into 3rd grade. He used the smaller version for his previous 3 years and it still has a lot of life left. This one was a perfect upgrade. For his purposes he can fit his lunchbox, a daily 1.5" binder & folder a couple of small books a fleece for a chilly classroom and still has room. Love the extra pockets and compartments. Love the two side pockets that allow water bottles. We had a very minor defect in our initial order but customer service was fantastic and helped clear it up quickly and easily. LOVE! Next year I'll be back to shop for my youngest and I'll always recommend!

Always ordered these for my kids over the years but those years are gone. I needed a good backpack for myself and immediately thought Bean!! Quality I remembered. Roomy and so well made. Working great for me!!

Have used these bags for over 20 years. They are great and don't wear out. My only suggestion would be to add a thicker font to the monogram selection. The one we chose the past couple times us rather thin and doesn't show up too well.

It is super comfy and has amazing quality. I love the water bottle holders the best!

A gift for a friend who needed differently sized pockets and overall the right size bag. It's perfect, she says, and purple is her favorite color.

I'm a musician and I was looking for something with 2 large pocket, so this ended up being perfect.the smaller pocket also came in handy and I am utilizing that as well

This is a great backpack. It is the perfect size for everyday use. It feels tough and like it will last. It has plenty of pockets for all your stuff. Would recommend 100%.

This is not our first LL Bean bookbag/backpack, so we know how well they hold up. Just purchased this one for one of my granddaughters, and it looks very nice, in addition to the obvious good quality. It is roomy and adjusts easily to be able to fit comfortably.

My daughter said this was the best backpack we have ever bought her!!!

I use it everyday for everyday use.....I'm not a student. When I start traveling again I'll take it everywhere. LLBean is tradition in our family.

Just bought 2 new ones for my 2nd and 4th graders. My 10th grader still carries this same backpack we purchased for him in 5th grade. The quality can't be beat! ps- I love that LLBean has added water bottle holders outside of pack. My son's older version doesn't have those.

Mom of four boys here and I have to say, search no further when it comes to backpacks. I have this bag for a second and fourth grader and it really is the best bag (fourth grader is on his second year of the same bag, second grader just got one-plan on buying at least two more for my next two boys). I have tried other name brand quality bags for my boys and this one absolutely takes the cake. Why? It's lightweight but super sturdy; it has the exact amount of pockets and compartments you need for grade school-not too many, not too little; it is rain proof; strong functioning zippers that don't freak out and split; back support but not in a bulky way; washes very well in the machine (I wash it inside out after every school trip); lots of color options (when you have multiple kids you cannot have the same color bag for each of them, no). Love this bag. Tip: several people complain that the zippers for the two large compartments get caught on the outer material flap which is meant to cover the zippers from rain. Yes, they do get caught. Very easy workaround, just fold back the flap every time you open or close the zipper! Completely fold it back and after a couple of times it'll be totally set. Not the cheapest bag and not the best sales, but your kid is using this for many hours every day...so why skimp? I haven't seen this for a better sale than 20% off plus free shipping... So if you're trying to wait for a good deal, that's about it.

I am 34 and my child is finally old enough to have a quality backpack. I still have mine from college and am proud to buy one for the next generation.

Love this back pack! This is the 4th one I have purchased (and I'm looking at another one), not because they wear out but because they are so awesome. The first one I purchased is on it's 6th year in school; its a little faded but still in great condition. I bought because my 1st child was going through back packs at a rate of 2 per year! (With multiple children, that gets expensive fast!) Absolutely worth every penny & then some!

I'm starting school this fall so I needed a new bag even though my classes will be done by zoom this semester. I still need something to keep everything organized. I love how roomy it is. It's perfect. It holds everything I need it to.

My two grandsons think that the only approved backpack must be an L.L. Bean. So this year they graduated to the standard size. Personalized of Course. These quality book bags are the best quality for the money. I tell all my friends that this is the place to shop. We have a tradition in our family to gift each new high school graduate with a new backpack filled for the first year of college. Thank You L.L.Bean family.

LL Bean backpack is VERY sturdy and has plenty of compartments. Also, the color and design is such that the students love them. I have bought a couple in the past, and they really do not rip or wear out; I've gotten a new one for my student because as he gets older, his taste changes.

There is a lot of room, and many pockets in this backpack, and we loved the brilliant blue color, wish they offered it again this year. It went through the wash numerous times with no problems. He is still using it for summer camp, so it is seeing a lot of dirt and rough use, and holding up well. We like to start each school year off "fresh" so we're ordering another of these backpacks, but we will be keeping this for weekend and sport use. Zippers and seams have all held up great.

I've been wanting an llbean backpack for the longest because they're literally so sturdy. I got the vintage lavender it is a little more purple than the picture but I think it's still super cute, my embroidery is so good it is a little small but I think it's cuter that way!!
