This is our 2nd backpack with LL Bean. Love its sturdiness. Very roomy and fits books, water bottles. Black straps are very long (but adjustable). Parents may want to consider cutting if it's too long for their child.

I bought one of these for my daughter in 5th grade. She is about to be a senior and the bag is still in great shape! I'm buying another one for my son who is going into 3rd grade.

It is lightweight but durable. Great for travel as it can hold a lot

This is pretty much the classic LL Bean backpack that you would expect. Big enough to handle my middle school kid's books, lunch, and accessories and durable enough to withstand his abuse.

This backpack was perfect for carrying the gear and supplies needed. Very pleased with this purchase.

After two of my children carried (and FINALLY) wore out my deluxe book pack from LL Bean, from when it was in high school it was time to order new. I'm very happy with the addition of the water bottle/umbrella pockets on the outside. This was lacking in the old design since no one carried refillable water bottles back when I got my pack- in the 90's. These things take a beating and really withstand all the abuse of middle and high school kids for years and years. Love not having to purchase new packs every year or two. Long love the LL Bean backpacks!

I had one for over 25 years and it was still in great shape. I loaned it to my Dad and he lost it. I hope this one lasts just as long! They are durable & strong.

Sturdy, roomy, the best!! Never had a problem w/them! Just about everyone in the family has one (or more)! That's @ 50 Bookpacks!!!

Love this bag. I'm an artist and this bag fits everything I need for class. Lots of separate compartments to keep everything organized. Also love the vintage lavender color.

This pack was exactly what my son needed. So far it's holding up well to the multitude of books that comes with being in 8th grade!

Several separately zipped compartments make this a great personal tote for traveling. The build quality is better than a lightweight foldable/packable (by another non-LLBean source that began to wear badly after only 3 airline round-trips). I expect the LLBEAN to last much longer and has more places of separated stowage. I want numerous compartments so travel eccoutrements are better organized. Liking this one. Think about it: a pack is no better than the material from which it is constructed.

I purchased this product back when I was in HS ( I graduated in 1992). It has been used on many many many camping trips all thru college and to this day I still use it for travel. At first I remember I had my doubts as to if it would last but it has. It is more then worth the price you pay. I would buy another one in a heart beat.

My son loves this backpack. Comfortable with lots of compartments for storage. Happy with purchase.

My granddaughter picked this one out and really enjoys carrying it to School.

The bookpack is a perfect size, (holds a lot), and so far seems very durable. My high schooler is happy with it.

It was just as nice as it appears in picture. The monogram name came out great. Only thing I would have liked was one more letter because my grandson's name first and last is 11 digits and only 10 were allowed. Great quality product.

This backpack is awesome! I used it for a trip to Ireland and it was roomy enough for a change of clothes including shoes along with a book and a small purse. It was full coming home and still fit under the plane seat easily. The compartments are well designed and made it easy to store my passport, cash, toiletries etc. easily. The strap is comfortable on my shoulders and didn't feel too heavy.

Great color. Well-made. Seems like it should last a long time. Only complaint: with the zipper being in the middle of the front pocket, it's hard to get anything in there that would actually use the full height of the pocket. Other than that, my granddaughter loves it!

I bought this backpack for my grandson who will enter middle school in the fall. He has had a similar one since first grade and it is still in excellent condition. I was afraid not to order early since very few backpacks have been on sale since the pandemic.

I ordered this school backpack (labeled as the Ledge pack then) for my son in 2015 when he was in middle school. Guess who's graduating this year and still using the same pack? The cheapskate in me balked at the $60 price tag, but this thing has stood the test of time and survived 7 years of daily use/abuse with minimal care. It is just now starting to show scuffing signs of wear on the bottom of the bag. I love LL Bean's quality and commitment to customer service. I would order this again without hesitation.

Bought this for the quality and I wasn't disappointed. This thing will stand the test of time for my 8 yr old. Only negative thing i will say is that i feel like it is a bit smaller than i expected.
