Heavy duty and sturdy. Lasts long and am able to use it for a variety of purposes.

Love the color! Always good quality. Ended up just buying new because they wouldn't honor there old return policy on an older item I had. And was told they don't due zipper replacements.

It was well made and lasts. I got one for my daughter for college. She graduated in 2003 and is still using it today. It has loads os pockets to carry everything you need. Love it!

I've had my backpack for at least six years and it has stood up very well- still waterproof, no tears. The only issue is that sometimes the strap comes off but that could be due to the weight of the stuff inside. Very large.

I bought this backpack for my granddaughter who is in kindergarten. Her old backpack was too small to accommodate an extra sweater or jacket for days that start out cold and then warm up in the afternoon. This is just the right size. She is small - 35 pounds - and this backpack isn't too big or heavy for her. These LL Bean school backpacks last forever. My son, who is 45 years old still has his from high school and it is in good shape. My granddaughter even likes the color.

I love this backpack. It has good organization, a ton of room and it fits my female back and does not bang around on my tailbone. The Dusk Blue color is just gorgeous! What a great new color for this line of backpacks! Only complaint is the side netting where one can hold water bottles. It does not seem very strong. Would be better to have a different material that has more strength. I have reviews where other people have complained about this so maybe LLB will listen and amp it up some.

This bag is fabulous! It holds tons with great pockets and dividers. It spots cleans easily and has been through the washing machine for big spills.

Holds quite a few books and inside pocket holds papers without getting wrinkled. Also holds water bottle.

Love these backpacks. I have been buying these for years and they always last. Only had to buy new one for more books space as the kids grow.

My two teenagers purchased one backpack after another because they represented the girls' individuality. Each time the weight of their books and laptops shredded the "cute" backpacks. Finally I convinced them to try L.L. Bean's backpacks. They were amazed at the comfort and I am delighted with the durability. Well worth the money!

My grandchildren have used these backpacks for several years and they don't wear out. They get new ones when they want a new colorthe old ones are still in good condition. The only backpacks I'll buy.

I bought this backpack in 2015 for my second-grader. He's used it every school day for the past 8 years, and it has held up great!! When I was a kid I remember having to get a new backpack almost every year, as they did not last like this! His might be a slightly different model than the current, as pictured, but it's at least very similar. I HIGHLY recommend get an LLBean backpack.

I bought this backpack for my nephew in college. All of his books and the laptop sleeve fit perfectly in it. He was really happy with it. Plus I got extra Aunt points.

LLBean Deluxe Book Packs are a staple among my family & friends. They are thoughtfully designed, machine washable, durable, made of excellent quality fabric that wears well and last for years (sometimes decades) with reasonable care. I like that they can be monogrammed as well.

This was an exchange of a bag we ordered back in 2017. The strap was starting to pull away from the bag and they exchanged this with no issues. We love the LL BEAN backpacks.
