My children always had LLBean backpacks. My daughter still uses hers from childhood. I bought a Jr. pack for my first granddaughterdaisys on light green. This grandchild got purple with red and blue flowers. The prints are nice and hold up well. A second water bottle pocket would get the fifth star. The extra pocket would be very useful for a toy or something they want easy access to.

My little four-year-old grandson came home from school one day, and dragged the backpack a few feet until we told him not to do that. We got inside and I looked into the backpack and could see the floor through the hole that was in the bottom after the short drag. Was hoping it would be a little sturdier.

We have had it for 2 years and it looks great and no wear yet. Only complaint is that the zippers are a tiny bit hard to access, so it is a little hard to zip.

This backpack is well made and a great size for my 5 year old. However, the zipper is stiff and the cover for the zipper gets in the way of easily moving it back and forth.

Backpack is great but the embroidered initials color was off a bit from what it appeared to be on the website. I reached out and they would replace it or refund me. I didn't want to go through the hassle.

Love this bag! Always wanted one when I was little but we were too poor haha. Only reason 4/5 is because my daughters name is soo so small and it was additional $8. The preview was much larger. Shipping was super fast as well.

The canvas type material is rugged and has held up but the zipper gave out. It did last 6 1/2 years so I can't really be mad.

Adorable print and high quality material. Great size for a preschool student- enough to hold a lunch, water, and change of clothes + a few other items if needed. My biggest complaint is the size of the water bottle holder- we use hydro flasks and it is too narrow to fit them. Also, sometimes the zipper is a little tricky for them because of the zipper cover.

Love the backpack. However, my biggest complaint is that the water bottle pocket is not big enough. It does not strength enough to easily fit any of the water bottles we have.

It's a great backpack. Perfect for our Kindergardener. The front pockets have great organization. Water bottle pocket is sturdy. The only problem is the main section has no pockets or separators for folders or papers or a device.

I bought this for my nephew to start pre-k. It is slightly big on him since he just turned 3. BUT HE LOVES IT- especially that he loves shark themed anything. The strap is a bit stiff but in time, I'm sure it would get softer. The model/style never changed at all- same quality and durability as I remembered. I had purchased the junior backpack for my son (YEARS AGO) when he was that age and we LOVED IT then too! Not to mention, my son is in college now! He still has it with his initials- he uses it to pack smaller items now but he knows it's forever HIS because of the personalized monogram! I love how LL Bean stays TRUE to quality and value...elevates it with new features to relate to the newer generation. I wished my kids had more options in regards to "themes"- at that time, it was only the classic colors. When I decided to purchase the same junior backpack for my nephew, I was so surprised with ALL the nice options! I, myself still have my LL Bean backpack since high school- I still love it! I have the navy...wished there are more navy options for the kids though.

This is the right size on both capacity and height for my K student. Please add sternum straps for comfort and stability!!!

I purchased this backpack for my 23 month old daughter. It's still a little big for her but it should fit her within a year. It's big enough to fit her blanket, lunch bag and a small stuffed animal. My only disappointment about this bag is that the material is thin.

Zipper is a bit stiff and challenging for a 5 year old but quality is excellent

It's the perfect size for my preschooler. He is able to fit his LL Bean lunch box in It and a pack it snack bag. The zipper is a little tough, but I think will Loosen over time. We love the shark print!

Cute backpack for my 3 year old. My only complaint is it can be difficult to open the bag up as the material needs to be pulled over in order to zip and unzip it, if that makes sense.

Great bag. Fits on my four year old. Carries well.

Good quality material and is a good size for my 1st grader. The main zipper can be a little challenging for him, since it has an extra flap of fabric.

5+ months to arrive. Definitely not an item to wait to order. My son loves it along with the matching drink bottle. Sturdy fabric, adorable print. Just plan to order a season or two ahead of when you actually need it. Lucky the little one hasn't outgrown it while we waited for it to arrive.

Great backpack! Only issue is the reflective area is rubbing off after only a month or two of use.

The backpack got to me faster than I thought. I had it monogrammed. The thread was supposed to be orange but came stitched in white. I'm not complaining because it still looked good.

The only complaint I have is that the zipper can be hard to maneuver.

We love the pattern on this pack, which is the reason we chose this brand even, primarily for the pattern. The backpack itself is functional. The zipper is somewhat difficult to open and close because of the overhanging fabric, but this is not a deal breaker, just an inconvenience. In time I may realize that it is actually convenient in that it keeps my kid from pulling things out of his backpack in the car...

This is a great backpack , the only issue was the color of the thread for the monogram looked darker in the preview than what was delivered

Back to school gift for 6 year old. School hasn't started yet, but she insists on wearing it around the house!
