The jacket is fine, but I didn't care for the color.

Great jacket but the zipper is difficult to manage.

I bought this @1 year ago in a burnt orange color and love it. Only issue is that one of the zippers on a pocket is broken which is disappointing. Otherwise, wonderfully warm, light, colorful and great for everything from dog walking to light winter hiking.

Warm, comfortable, lightweight, and nice color jacket but I notice that several feathers came out. not just few, pretty many feathers.

It is a great jacket! It is very warm, and I love the color. I was glad to wait until the price came down though!

I have owned (and still wear all of them) 5 other LL Bean ultralight 850 down jackets of 3 varieties (hooded, without hood, "Big Baffle", etc.) and use them for everyday activities around town in CA winter seasons. They are all warm enough in the temperature range from low 40's to low 60's and fit me well - very comfortable and without restricting movements. They are well made and all zippers work smoothly. Occasional minor down leakage was to be expected. I recently bought my 6th one in "Mineral Red", and noticed right away that the down fill wasn't as substaintial as the other ones I bought before and, when I tried it on when the temperature in our backyard was ~53 degree. It didn't keep me as warm as the other ones I have. I don't know what changed, but it's not a change I'd welcome. It still fits me and remained comfortable, but I decided to return it and try other brand for a change.

I really like this coat!! It's warm and lightweight!! However, I haven't figured out how to pack it into the pocket! It should come with instructions!!

I bought the same jacket without the hood about 5 years ago. That one is still going strong, but I need the hood. This version has a considerably thinner outer fabric than the one I bought 5 years back. Also the hood does not have an adjustment in the back - adjustments only beside the face. For the price, I expected better quality fabric and better adjustment on hood. Outside of that, it is warm and lightweight.

Love this jacket, its both warm and light, I would've given 5 stars except I'm starting to see bits of the stuffing on the jacket, I don't see an opening so I'm assuming it seeps through the fabric, not sure if this is normal, just hope the jacket lasts a long time.

Great, light, comfortable, warm, rain resistant hooded jacket. Wish it had a couple more pockets and the reflector label on the back like the children's jackets have. Fit is just right!

Almost perfect jacket great sizing, arms are a bit long which I always love, especially with multiple layers. Folds down easily and is very warm. My only gripe is zipper feels a bit cheap compared to the rest of the jacket. The length is longer than waist and a double zipper would make this jacket perfect in my opinion.

I would have rated it 5 stars if it came in prettier colors, like a nice bright pink, raspberry, bright blue, or teal. This years colors are terrible. Also, I would like better if the length was longer by about an inch.

This jacket is perfect for 30-40 degrees. It's light weight, but still keeps you warm. I love the color and the fit. I would recommend this jacket. I am 5'6" - 135 lbs. and got a small size

I really loved the warmth and lightweight of this beautiful jacket and I'm so disappointed that it did not fit my body comfortably. I'm 5'6'', 135lbs and I have longer arms. I found this jacket to be too tight in the front of the armholes whenever I reached out forward. I tried a small and a medium, but just not for me. Otherwise, I loved everything else about it.

I normally wear a medium shirt and am 5'2" but this jacket fits me long and large. Even with a fuzzy pullover (from LLB) I would try for a petite small next.

I would've given this 4.5 or even 4.75 stars if that were possible. There were really only a couple of smallish things. The one functional issue was the somewhat loose cuffs - I think this can have a significant effect on warmth, and I live in northern Minnesota so that's a concern. The non-functional issue was color. "Mineral red" is really close to orange, which I have an aversion to. So I sent it back and was disappointed, since I had a (true red) jacket like this maybe 10-12 years ago and loved it. Otherwise, it's great. I got a M petite which fit fine (I am 5-3 and 135-140 pounds). There would be room for a warm sweater or fleece underneath.

Warm, cozy and lightweight. I didn't give 5 stars because the packable pocket it too small to be of any real use.

Love my new coat, have gotten nice comments about it and very warm (winter in Maine). Not the same sizing as the previous down coat from LLBean that I bought 4 years ago (or so). The large was too big and had to exchange, but the process was easy. Love that this one has a hood.

I love this coat. It is light weight and warm. The only issue I have is that I went one size larger than I normally do and it is noticeably a bit large. I would rather have it too big than too small though.

I bought this coat to replace an older 850 down that the feathers had started coming out and I was getting laughed at by my family for my trail of feathers. I will say the coats are similar, but not the same. This one is a little longer than the previous one and louder as the outer fabric seems different. The warmth seems the same. I miss the zipper pocket in the inside, but the outside has zippers so that is good. This one also has lots of labeling signifying it is an LLBean coat. Not sure why the excessive advertising, my prior one had a subtle label in only one spot. All in all, warm and great, but I liked the older one better and wish the feathers weren't flying out. :)

Very warm and light. The zipper could be two way and a bit more substantial.

I love almost everything about this coat. Comfy, just the right weight to toss on over a T-shirt and run outside. Hood isn't too bulky. Sleeve cuffs aren't tight and annoying. Excellent length. But the upper arms are like they're made for another jacket. Too narrow, and make layering impossible. Good for walking, but too restrictive for hiking and moving around a lot.

I loved the version of this coat from three years ago. I accidentally ripped it and it's been a challenge to repair, so I wanted to buy a new one, but the cuffs on this jacket aren't fleece anymore. The elastic on this one isn't nearly as comfortable. Bring the fleece cuffs back!
