looked for replacement jacket for years. Must have hood, double up-down zipper, quilted arms. Perfect for Michigan weather spring, fall, and outside walking. Enough room to add a fleece. I removed fur around hood. Not recommended for rain or snow as not resistant.

I went in to my local L.L.Bean store and immediately fell in love when I first saw the coat! So I was trying on for sizing in the store and one of the workers had come over and complimented me while I was trying on the jacket and told me their recommendation for the size that I should buy. Needless to say I left that day with this brand new coat in the size small and wear it everyday now! It is a absolute must have, I love it!!

I love everything about this parka. I bought it in Red and its color combination complements me a lot. I specifically wanted an outwear with an organic cotton shell and many pockets and here it is. The parka is true to size. My true size is Medium and it would do just fine, but I bought a size larger for wearing heavy layers and having more room for movement. The parka is lightweight and perfect for driving and walking in the current weather with wind and light snow in Western NY.

The coat is a great fit at large petite. Not always easy to get coats to fit me.

This fits well and looks nice. I will need to wear layers as the weather gets colder but I expected that. The pockets are roomy. I bought a similar jacket a few years ago and had problems with the zipper. So far, no problems with the new version. I am very happy with it.

This coat is so warm and comfortable. I find it to be very flattering as it's longer it tends to give you more accentuation at the hips so some who are fuller may not like that. The pocket positions are all very comfortable and spacious. Very warm as I've worn it in 30 degree weather with a long sleeve shirt underneath and was comfortable.

I purchased a petite medium (for comparison I have the Petite S of the Women's Ultrawarm Jacket). The MP for this coat is perfect for me because it allows layering space but the adjustable cinched waist doesn't make me feel like I am swimming in this coat when I don't have the layers on. The pockets are awesome, they are all lined with a super soft fabric -- there is an interior pocket, and I just generally prefer the higher-up exterior hand pockets. The lower pockets have top and side pockets the side pockets also have zippers which is nice. Also, appreciate that the faux-fur hood edge is removable. 10/10. This is going to be my go-to coat this year I can tell.

I haven't worn it yet but the fit is perfect and I love how it fits! It's beautifully made and is just perfect for cold weather. If you're short, be sure to get a Petite! I accidentally ordered a Regular and had to exchange it.

Longer length parka is perfect in this cold weather. Hood is warm but a little floppy over my head.

It is a pretty coat but it is HUGE. The hood falls down into my face so i am unable to see. I would go down a size

Cute style but was pretty thin and I was looking for a heavy weight warm winter coat for life in the mountains.

The coat is very warm and the perfect warmth level. However , the fabric looks very washed off and old.

Fits well, lots of pockets, comfortable and warm even when below 0 and windy. Haven't needed to clean it yet so cannot give input to that

I really like the fit and style of the jacket, but it does not seem to be as warm as other winter jackets I've owned.

A casual comfortable coat. The coat is very casual for outdoor chores, shopping and running about town. Not a stiff heavy outer shell. Light weight lining with an abundant sized hood that fits well over a hat. I got the mustardy yellow. I wish they had a larger choice. Of bright colors.

Women's medium is the size I bought. I like the features of both the 2 way zipper as well as snaps. The length is good but could stand a bit more room through the chest area. I also like the fact that the faux fur of the hood is detachable as I plan to use it some in place of a barn jacket. Hasn't gotten cold enough yet to test the warmth of it yet

I've been looking for a winter jacket for a long time and really thought this would work. It's a good length, has a hood, good pockets and feels substantial. I have a lot of trouble with fit, and this was close, but not quite. I'm short but my shoulders are often too wide for petites. In PM this jacket fit without layers under, but I want to be able to layer in winter. In PL there was lots of room in the body, but the sleeves were way too long.

I do love this coat. However, I have found that it's not as warm as I'd like it to be. It's great as long as it's above freezing, but when it dips below freezing I find myself reaching for another coat. The other thing is sizing. I bought a large based on two other LLBean coats that I've previously purchased in the same size. But, I've found it runs smaller than my other large coats.

Coat is too thin and light weight for very cold winters.
