I'm old and I'm cold. I live in Connecticut and I'm miserable from Novembet 1st to April 1st. I received this coat as a gift from my daughter. It is so wonderfully warm, cozy, roomy without being bulky. The zipper is easy to manage. Plenty of pocket spaces too. I am grateful to have this delightful coat to keep me warm. I'm no longer dreading winter. One item can make such a difference! I'm a grateful grandma.

This is the perfect coat for walking the dogs along the water in wind and snow. I would say the body of the coat runs a bit big. I can easily put a sweater underneath but it's so warm, I usually don't have to. The zipper is high quality and I love the sherpa lined hood without fake fur. The lining goes to the mid back and does not include the sleeves.

This coat is amazing I needed a warm coat for the brutal winter. This coat keeps me warm while walking my dog. Highly recommend this coat. Love the pockets and Sherpa lining.

This coat is warm, roomy and comfortable. I love the blue color and the cosy fleece on the inside and in the hood. The sleeves are a little short for my liking, I like a little extra wrist coverage in the cold. This coat doesn't have an inside pocket and there is no feminine shaping to it at all.

Love this super warm coat! The front pockets are roomy and perfect for the phone or gloves. The Sherpa hood is so soft and when zipped all the way up, an amazing barrier from the cold wind. I have worn this in single digit temps and I am so warm. Couldn't recommend more!

After a ton of research for a new warm and fashionable coat I chose this one, and I am not disappointed! I love it so much, it keeps me arm and I get a lot of compliments on it. Great pockets and hood. Very happy!

I bougt this coat for walking in the city wind. The reviews seem very favorable for that. The coat is light yet warm, cozy down. So its a good coat for walking. I got the blue- I am 5'5 152 lbs and took the Medium. It fits over a heavy sweater and reaches the knees. The hood is snug, soft sherpa. I never had a hood fit like a hat and not fall over my eyes. Overall, the coat is beautiful, cozy and worth the money.

I wanted to buy a coat that was fully lined with sherpa, but eventually gave up, and "settled" for this one. I still wish (as do a few other reviewers) that there were more sherpa lining in this coat, but I like it anyway. Unlike a good number of reviewers, I don't find that the coat runs large. I wear xxs and going by the way the coat fits my shoulders, it couldn't be better. I like the hood--it's a perfect fit (not large or floppy) and the sherpa trim is just enough. I feel as though this coat isn't trying too hard to impress. A fair number of reviewers find the coat "boxy." I guess it is, but I don't find it overpowering or noticeable and I like the pockets and the bits of gold attached to the zippers. I wish that the long coat that LL Bean has made for eons--the one with the Polyester "fur" had fake fur similar to this "sherpa." Anyway, I'm glad to have this coat.

This coat is very warm and very cozy feeling with the fleece lining. I would like the women's mountain parka to be fleece lined because this long coat is too long for some days.

This is the warmest coat I've ever owned. It was bought to replace a "popular" brand that wasn't doing its job and I have no regrets! Perfect for outdoor recess duty and dismissal at my Michigan school. I ordered it last fall and my friend liked it so much that she subsequently ordered one too. I've had other people comment on how nice looking it is, and ask where I got it. I'm extremely happy with it! Only suggestion for improvement is to add a zipped interior pocket. Thanks LLBean for such great products and service!

I bought this for my daughter's visit to Chicago this past January. With a light puffer underneath she was very warm down to 5 degrees. It was amazing.

I purchased this coat for our trip to the Borealis Basecamp in Alaska. It was absolutely perfect for the trip! Lightweight and super warm! I ordered a larger size to make sure I had plenty of room for layers. Ended up not needing a lot of layers because the coat was so warm! Living in Alabama I was concerned about not being prepared for the Alaska winter. So extremely pleased with this purchase!

I live in New England and I'm always cold, so I was looking for a winter coat that would really be warm, and this coat did not disappoint. It's so warm and the Sherpa lining makes it extra cozy! I love it! It does run a bit big, so I also recommend sizing down. I'm usually an 8 and the medium was pretty roomy, so I went with the small.

Love this coat- it's a game changer for Minnesota winters. Especially love that the hood is Sherpa too. Size up if you want to wear thick/multiple lays under!

So I bought this coat and was very torn between the Large and the Medium. I am 5ft 5 inches and 157 lbs. After reading reviews and measuring my sleeve and bust (my bust was sized for large, but my sleeve was a perfect medium,) I opted to go with medium and it fits perfectly. For the first time in years I can wear a sherpa or big sweater under the coat and this coat accommodates that. It is also so warm and insulated that I can wear light or no layers and it is great. Part of the reason this coat is so forgiving is the waistline. If you are very used to a cinched waist coat and shaping that accentuates your "bottom", as I was often used to, this coat will be an aesthetic adjustment. I even put a little belt on the outside of it the first time to see how that looked. But for all my stylish coats before that looked very form fitting or form accentuating, i could never wear warm layers underneath and I could not get in and out of a car (SUV) with the bottom zipped up easily. This coat is amazing because it goes low on the legs, feeling more ,warm and I can move easily into and out of my SUV with no fear of ripping something. I even opened up the side low zippers which gave it a little more of a bell shape that I like and it really does help more with the movement and freedom of the legs. The zippers are sturdy and so nice. I have not held a small handbag since having this because the pockets are so big---a plus! I see also that the coat changes shape depending on what is under it, so when i wear thinner layers underneath I no longer feel the need to belt the coat or think the waistline is big. If you want your see your booty shape with your coat, go elsewhere! This coat feels so comfortable and amazing and that was my new goal, to just FEEL warm and great in a coat and this does that! My husband loves and thinks it is my best coat too:)
