The coat is everything I wanted but it is too big. I am usually a Med. But the coat is a larger fit and they do not have small in stock so I am extremely bummed. Please gals order 2 sizes down. I had no idea the coats run so big. Other than that it is a perfect buy.

I went into the store looking for a replacement for my ten year old Ultrawarm Coat and when I saw this coat I knew immediately that I'd found it! I absolutely love this coat and couldn't be happier with it! It is high quality, warm and comfortable and also features some key updates in the style/function department, namely: Front pockets: not only do they look great, they are perfect for securely storing my phone, sunglasses, face mask, etc! I did not fully appreciate how functional they would be when I bought the coat. Now that I've been out and about wearing the coat, I realize they are extremely useful! These are dual entry pockets by the way, which is also great, allowing me to place my hands in the side entry to keep them warm. Sherpa lining: not only is it soft, warm and cozy, but it also provides a lovely face framing and brightening effect. As the winter drags on I know I will appreciate this more and more. Zippers on both sides: again, I thought they were an interesting, good looking detail, but now know that they are very functional. Specifically, when I unzip them, they allow me to more easily get in and out of my car. It does run slightly large, however when I tried the next size down, it was too snug overall, so I went with my usual size. My conclusion on sizing is that it is true to size with a slightly generous fit that accommodates sweaters and other layers underneath. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable coat. Not everyone will love the Sherpa lining from the waist up (not in sleeves) bc it sorta sticks to to sweaters and fleece. BUT, it is warm and feels more substantial than my other down coat without being heavy. I like the design/style and attention to details. Right now it's my go to dog walking coat (with a good hood) but will be comfortable in and out of the car too when covid is over. The fit is good. I'm kinda afraid my daughter will snag this when she returns from college.

I received this coat for my birthday and could NOT be more satisfied. I want to live in this coat. Extremely warm and oh so cozy. Also much more fashionable than most puffer jackets I've seen. I live in Brooklyn and the medium black is street ready - and good for weekends upstate!

I was looking for a casual knee length parka without a fake fur ruff, and this jacket the bill. It's super warm and comfortable. I do wish it had an interior chest pocket for my phone, kind of annoying that it doesn't. I have long legs and long arms so the pockets are at the correct place for me, but the jacket hits me about 3" above my knee so I do wish it we're a little longer. I bought the kelp green color, and I may come back for the burgundy one.

This coat is very warm. The quality is wonderful! I'm not sure how it holds up long term or washing but for now, I would purchase again in multiple colors. I would like to have tried this on first but with covid that isn't possible. I usually wear a medium or large in women's outerwear because I don't like it tight in the shoulders/back but I think I could have sized down with this. I'm here writing this review because there were no reviews when I purchased and I hesitated to purchase. Buy this coat!

I love this coat. It is so warm and feels like wearing a hug! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the sherpa around my face seems like it might attract makeup, so next season maybe you can have it match the black coat. Otherwise, recommended.

I am 5'6" 134 lbs usually a S and this S coat was very bulky and unflattering. You can tell on the model. Super long which is good I guess. Awkward pockets. Haven't washed it yet. Very warm!! Maybe I need to stop buying from LLBean bc the cuts are very wide and unflattering if you are slender-ish.

Love this coat!!! The coat receives 5 Stars. Wasn't happy about the hoops I had to jump through because the store near me only carry the navy blue and green. No black! Why?!? Anyways the first order I put in was XXS and it fit everywhere except in the shoulder seam. So I had to return AND reorder a different size, again. Because our local store DOES NOT carry this coat in Black. I finally received it and the coat is perfect! Gave 4 stars for all of the unnecessary back & forth.

Great length and perfect for New England winter mornings with the dog. Very cozy. Would love if there were an inner pocket. The zipper appears to be holding up well after a month. At the sale price, it's a decent and warm coat of sufficient if not indestructible quality, and you feel like you are in a sleeping bag - in a good way!

I am 5' 4" tall and weigh 115 -120. Usually I wear a size small. I ordered this coat in a small and it was huge on me. I cannot rate the warmth factor because I needed to return it. Unfortunately I ordered this coat after Christmas and smaller sizes were unavailable . Like all LL Bean products the coat appeared to be good quality.

I think this would be a very warm coat for these brutal Iowa winters. Unfortunately I didn't like the fit, so returned it.

This coat is great w/one complaint....the 2 way zipper keeps getting caught in the under fabric. A few times I had to take it off to get it fixed. So far I've been able to undo it. I have another mid length coat from LLB from years ago and that never does what this one does. II don't understand why as they seem to be made the same. I do sew so I can easily see differences in the way things are made. I love the deep pockets on this and the warm hood. It fits me well and the length is perfect on a 5'5" 66 yr old lady! The style will never go out. I should be wearing this til the day I die lol the way LLB clothes are so well made. This is warm....I live in NE NYS in the ADK Mt by a lake so it does get extremely cold here. I appreciate the warmth this mid length coat gives me when I take my dog down to the lake in winter. The hood is nice and soft against my head and face when I do put it on. This is a super coat with that one exception. I may try putting bees wax on the zipper to see if that helps. The color blue is a nice blue, not too dark, as close to black so the blue can be distinguished. I got a size L so I can wear heavier sweaters under it if need be. The length is perfect on my 5'5" body. I often go to P sizes tho the reg fits me well.

Seems to do the trick. I wanted a warmer jacket for winter walks. Blocks wind well. I love the soft sherpa lined hood and upper body. I do prefer the cuff style of the Woman's Ultrawarm Coat instead of the elastic style that this coat has. I think that would put this coat over the top.

I'm normally a Medium (size 8). I had to get the X-Small just to not feel like I was absolutely swimming in this coat; even then it's still super roomy in the torso/waist with no tightness in the shoulders. It's cozy and I like the sherpa details.

Ordered this as I needed a new longer length winter coat. I'm usually a size 10 in women's so I ordered a Medium. Too big- back it goes.

I love this coat. I haven't owned a full length coat in years and forgot how much warmer they are. Coupled with the super thick lining - even on the hood - and it's my go-to coat. I love the handwarmer pockets, as well as snap pockets, but wish there was a zipper one on top. My one "complaint" is a tempermental zipper that sometimes gets stuck- otherwise it would've had 5 stars. I use this coat for long photo shoots, stuffing the pockets and able to kneel down or sit on snow when I need to do so.

Amazingly warm coat. But a little bulky. I exchanged a large for a medium (never wear a medium) and it was better but still bulky on bottom section. But since it's incredibly warm, I'm keeping it.

If there is a drawback to this coat, it's that it is not very fitted. Otherwise it's a very warm and cute coat.

Great coat! From the flattering cut to the big pockets, it has it all. It's super warm and the Sherpa lining is soft and high quality. Only thing I don't love is the cuffs. They're stiff and the seams cause irritation if you move your arms much. Wish the cuffs were sweatshirt material or something soft.

The Sherpa lining is only in the top vest area, not in the lower back/belly. Definitely Waterproof and warm.

This coat is perfect if you want to have perfectly placed pockets and the cozy faux sherpa banding, topped off by incredible warmth and comfort. However, the coat is not flattering as there is no waistline and the shoulders are quite oversized for an XS size. If you are interested only in the purpose of keeping yourself warm, then this is the coat for you. Style is not a consideration unfortunately with this pick.

I would have given a full review of a 5, if the XXS would have not been too large! I am a petite size 0. The associate stated that the XXS would fit. Sadly I needed to return this coat.

Love this coat!! The warmest I've ever been! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the lining. The sherpa lining is not tacked to stay in place and makes it difficult to put the coat on. I'm in my 70's and I put the coat on by grasping the shoulder area and swinging it around and the looseness of the lining makes it kind of difficult to grasp.
