Great fit, so warm and cozy. I bought this as I am cold all the time and it is the perfect length and warmth. Hood is large and fits over my other hats/hoods. Highly recommend.

Best coat I've ever had. I love the length. It covers my knees for my long early morning walks and as the weather gets colder, it will be a blessing!

I sized down. I would usually get a M and chose a small. It is great. If you have long arms that may not work. Super warm coat. Love.

This was my third jacket this year that I ordered online! One was a different brand and I didn't like the fit. I tried the Mountain Classic Down Parka next and it seems like a fantastic jacket, but on me, it looked like the Michellin Man (I did order that in a Small Petite, which could be a difference). Finally, I ordered this jacket in an XS and the fit is perfect. I feel like it may run big for a size XS overall, but that works for me - there's room for a chunky sweater underneath. I like the zipper pockets on the sides, the two way zip and the the side zips. A lot of detail was put into this jacket. The BEST part is the hood. That hood will not be flying off in the wind and I love that! It's cozy with the fleece and it's nice and snug but not overly restrictive. Thank you L.L. Bean!! I know it's been a crazy year for retail, but you stepped up to the plate with a home run.

Very comfortable and functional winter coat. Love the sherpa lining. The zippered flaps are also a really nice feature as allows for variable insulation for when one is out and about.

Lovely and warm. Beautiful fit. Well made. Only concern is that the hood is much too big; comes down all the way and covers my eyes even after adjusting the cord.

We live in California and I bought this for my daughter, who just started college on the East Coast, so she would be warm in the winter. We shopped together at the Boston store and this was by far her favorite jacket. It's super warm and comfortable, but the sherpa lining makes this jacket even more special. Wish they had the red color in her size, but she loved the style so much that we bought the blue, which is also great. Shout out to the Boston (Seaport) Assistant Manager and team -- they were amazing!

I got this coat and immediately felt the soft Sherpa-lining inside and in the hood. It is so soft. It has super pockets 2 large ones with a flap and then 2 more slits at the sides. The zipper s are heavy-duty zippers. This is a full length coat that makes me feel all-tucked in and it was super warm, even in our recent "real blast of winter" where the temps actually dropped to -20 degrees (yes, negative 20 below zero with wind chills -35!) here in the Kansas City area. We broke the record of having the most days in single digits for the longest time in the KC area! My dog still needed to walk even in these temps. I could not bear to let her out alone. I didn't want her paws, or her, to freeze so we walked in "better" conditions, like not so deep snow and no road treatments. While walking my dog, I unzipped a little at the bottom and there are side zippers that allow better movement also. That is a great feature. I used to have wear a hat because I never had a good hood until now. I pulled up the hood and there is no more wind that leaks down the back of my neck, Yippee!! I love my new coat and you will too. (I did have to exchange it for a large size once I had a heavy sweatshirt underneath.) I love my coat! Deborah in KC area

Good coat, that keeps me really warm and cozy. I wish it were longer and the feathers seem to be coming out a bit but otherwise, I would say it's a good buy. For me, it was true to size but it has zippers on the side to open if you have thicker thighs. I love the pocket design, wish it had an interior pocket as well but overall I would recommend it

LOVE LOVE LOVE this coat! If you need to wear a parka, odds are you live in a cold climate. That means we wear sweaters and sweatshirts under our coats. I've always wondered if manufacturers think we're all Kardashians - wearing nothing but bandeaus and tank tops under our parkas? I've FINALLY found a coat that fits over big bulky sweaters and still allows for movement! And, it doesn't weigh 400lbs! I was in -27* temps today, and the only parts of my body that were cold were the parts not covered by this coat. I purchased an XL, which is what I'd normally get, and it's perfect! I don't feel or look like the Michelin man. Yay! If you DO wear only tank tops under your parka, then I'd suggest sizing down.

I wanted a coat not a jacket and this is perfect. The lining is not so thick as to make it bulky and layering is comfortably possible. Not overrun with pockets and those plenty roomy. Open the side zippers and you have plenty of legroom for stretching to get up and down off the tractor. That's a big plus.

I love this coat so much. My husband bought it for me for Christmas and he got me a medium which was WAY too big so I lucked out and found a small. It's warm, surprisingly flattering, has so many pockets and I am obsessed with it. I will never buy a coat anywhere else again.

I love this coat! It covers and fits snug so no cold wind bites you. In the North Maine Woods the winter is endless. Seven months of snow last year and the new polar vortex led me to get this coat because I need to be outside. I wear it for chores, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, walking, and sitting in the snowbank watching my kids ice skate. I like comfort, and it is cozy! The pockets are great too, deep space for camera, extra mittens, and mask. Thank you for quality and smooth service.

I love this coat! It's like walking around snuggled inside a sleeping bag, if that sleeping bag also had a sheep inside it. It gets down into the low 30's where I live, and it has kept me very warm. I got it in green, and the color was true (army green/olive). It looks great! Besides the roomy front square pockets, I like that there are side zip hand pockets behind them that have partial fleece lining. There are also zips on the bottom sides to let out more space for movement without letting in air. They thought of everything. I normally get a small, but I sized down and am glad I did. It's still a bit roomy, but not too bulky. The warm fleece lined hood is also a great fit! Not too big that it hangs over your eyes. I'm 5'4" and the XS length hits me right on my knees. I'm super happy with it!!

I chose this item because most winter coats look the same and I thought this had some unique touches. I do not ~love~ the cold and after moving to Boston from the southern U.S., there has been an adjustment period, but this coat is so cozy that I hardly mind. It's true that it doesn't cinch your waist. In fact, I ordered a large at first at looked like I was wearing a down comforter, so I exchanged for a medium. Full discloser, I am 5'2", with a fuller body. I wanted there to be plenty of room to layer underneath and a medium still accomplishes that. P.S. The pockets are amazing.

I bought my coat because I am a teacher that has outdoor recess duty during cold Connecticut winters. I find myself wearing it every time I go out! It's warmth and comfort make it perfect each time I step outside. I had to unzip the side zippers because climbing into my Jeep was hard. This immediately solved the snug fit and allowed freedom of leg movement. This is my fourth LLBean outerwear purchase but it won't be my last.

Purchased as a gift for someone who moved from the South to the North and she hates cold weather! She loves this jacket. Very warm and looks nice also. I tried it on and felt so soft and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

I love this jacket! The arm length is perfect as well as the length of the coat. It has big pockets with 2 places on each side for storage. The only thing I was bummed about was there was no drawstring to make the coat tighter.

This coat is super-comfortable and really warm without being weighted or overly bulky. I bought it on impulse (liking the green color and fleece lining) and was so pleasantly surprised by how much I like this.

My wife is SO happy with this coat! She says it like being snuggled up in a perfect fitting down blanket. The hood feels great and protects my neck and head perfectly. The lower side zippers are a great idea allowing for brisk walking and close when seated. It's a wonderful winter coat which She will love wearing for years to come. LOVE IT !

This coat is like wearing a warm blanket in the New England Winter! I love the pockets, are nice and big, the jacket is plenty warm for a hike in the woods, walking the dogs at night or early morning!! Fits comfortably and zippers up nice and tight! I do have a hat with a beany that I cant put hood up with as it is too tight, that is the only issue--I just wear a different hat for those days! also water repellent for shoveling snow in!!

The coat is everything I wanted but it is too big. I am usually a Med. But the coat is a larger fit and they do not have small in stock so I am extremely bummed. Please gals order 2 sizes down. I had no idea the coats run so big. Other than that it is a perfect buy.
