I bought this as a fall/early winter coat. It would not be warm enough for outside activities in a MN winter. The large is a little big for me but the M would have been too tight. I can see what the other reviewers are saying about the fleece - it is itchy, not soft. I didn't find that it cut the wind as others have said. All in all, I got it on sale ($100) and I'm happy with it as a fall coat.

I really like this coat but I had to go up a size because it was too tight in the shoulders. The larger size worked in the shoulder area but the body of the coat is a little bulky and not as fitted as my original size. I wear it to walk my dog everyday and it keeps me warm.

Nice jacket. I ordered my usual size, found it a little tight in the shoulder area, still keeping it because it's so darn cute!

I bought this a month ago because I thought it would be a great Fall coat. I was comfortable in ~50-degree weather with wind. It is tight in the shoulders, so there's no room for layering but I tried one size up and was swimming in it. I'll sacrifice a bit of room in the shoulders for a good fit everywhere else. The large zip pockets protect my hands from the wind well and can accommodate my phone.

This jacket is warm and a nice in between season choice. Though not as soft and flexible as I would have hoped it does the job. The back is longer to keep your bottom warm while sitting on the bleachers for your child's fall baseball in New England or ice hockey game.

I should have ordered a regular large and I ordered a 1x ... it might have been because they didn't have it in the large size at the time, I don't remember.

I like the length of the fleece. Although, it is not flattering. It is pricey for the quality. Although, I am keeping it to wear around the house.

This is the perfect warmth when I want something long and just running around town.

I live in indiana and didn't need anything heavier this entire winter. I ordered a large so I could wear bulkier layers under and still have it fit. It's a little lose now that I don't have heavy layers on. It can get a little matted where you sit or have a lot friction - it's more teddy bear type texture. I washed it a handful of times through the season and it got softer and warmer each time. No shrinking. I really love the long length and deep pockets. It also has a hood that keeps you covered but doesn't swallow your head.

I loved this coat the minute I saw it in the catalog. The pink color is wonderful, it is long in both the back and the sleeves, and the outside feels plush and cozy. The sleeves are tight, though, too tight to wear a sweater with it. I pulled it on over a cotton turtleneck and a fleece vest and set out for a walk on a sunny 40-degree F. day. But the wind cut right through those sleeves and I was cold. This coat will be great in spring and early fall, but not in deep winter. I strongly suggest that the sleeves be cut wider to accommodate sweaters that most of us wear all winter.

I ordered this coat because I LOVE the light aqua color=light mint green. It's a beautiful coat...good quality, nicely lined, hood great bonus, excellent length for me (I'm 5'10"). Might be too long for petites. The more fitted waist is a good feature, but the coat flares out at the hips like an A-line dress. Very unflattering on me with the heavier material, especially when I put the matching mittens in the side pockets. Maybe the size large was just too big on me, but I didn't want the exchange hassle for a medium. Sadly I returned the coat. Very nice coat, just not on me.

Gorgeous coat! Cozy! Pretty! I gave it 4 stars because it wasn't 100% perfection, but close.. it is a little scratchy on the inside, and it is very narrow at the waist. It is true to size, but I was close to sizing up because of the narrow waist. I feel like the inside quality needs to live up to the LL Bean good standards. But I'm happy enough to keep it! Cute sherpas that aren't too hot are hard to find. I say start with your normal size and go from there. For reference I am 5'9" 165lbs, 34d and medium fit true, little snug.

I was excited to receive this jacket, but the zipper side pockets are stuck I cannot pull them down. I can't figure out why BOTH zipper pockets are stuck. $150 the zipper should glide down smooth like butter. I'm 5'8" 140lbs slim frame, I ordered a small the sleeves were a bit shorter than I would like them to be if I fold my arms the sleeves pull back past my wrists. I wouldn't return it because of this. It does look so cute though, but unfortunately I'm going to return it because both side pocket zippers are stuck.

Love it! Much warmer than I expected! Cut slim in middle, tight over NEPA sweaters!

Usually I can wear a 1X with most LLBEAN items but this is snug and not flattering on. I love how it looks on a hanger though, and haven't decided if I will keep it yet.

I've never ordered from LL Bean until now. I am usually a large up top, so I ordered my usual size but found it much too large everywhere as I wanted to wear this only over a long sleeve tee. I guess I was expecting something a little softer, less stiff as well as I was looking for an all day sweatshirt/ jacket. I ordered the grey but found it to be a bit dingy looking. I've seen it on others in town (in the cream) and it looks great on them but it's not quite what I was looking for.

This is a beautiful fleece coat. I received many compliments on the color. The fit is on the small side, as I ordered a medium and it is snug. Very comfortable in 30 - 50 degree range. Would order again, but in a larger size.

Great casual coat . Warm and cozy . I'm 5'6 125 lbs and I ordered the X small. Fits perfectly.

I originally ordered a small, I'm 5'8 and weigh 128. It was too small to wear anything like a heavy sweater underneath. I exchanged for a medium which is perfect. It is warm but not warm enough to wear in frigid temperatures, 20 degrees or such. Love the double zipper because it makes driving with a coat so much easier. I like the color which is very neutral and the coat itself is very light weight. In general I am pleased with my purchase.

I think this is a beautiful coat but the description for the color is way off. It is NOT coffee color. It has a very strong purple tone to it. I was expecting a really deep brown.

I LOVE this jacket and have gotten so much wear from it even in the first few weeks of owning it! It's cozy and warm, and I love the slightly curved hem at the bottom. I typically wear it with leggings and tennis shoes for walks or watching my kids play outside on mild yet chilly days (40-55*) when I don't necessarily need my full-on puffy jacket. I am 5'5" 135lb 34C, usually a 27 in pant sizes, and I ordered both a small and a medium to make sure I got the right size. The medium swallowed me - it looked baggy through the middle, especially when unzipped but even zipped up, so I stuck with the small. My only complaint is that the shoulders feel a little more narrow in the small, so I can't wear thicker layers underneath it. However, it's fine for a regular shirt underneath, and I figured that I'm not wearing it when it's below freezing outside, so I shouldn't necessarily need thicker layers underneath it since it is a fleece. Overall, love this jacket - it took me a year to decide to finally invest in it, and I wish I had sooner!
