I am in love with my new Mountain Pile Fleece Coat! The fit is wonderful (XSmall) its super warm & lined. I got the Alloy Gray & it matches everything. It has big deep pockets with zippers. This jacket is a keeper!

I bought the navy with the orange trim and really like the color combo. I also have the ultra warm long down coat I bought 2 years ago. That coat is perfect for really cold days. And I had a light fleece jacket. One was too warm and the other not warm enough for 40-50 degree days here in Southern Indiana/Louisville. I call this one an in between-er;it's not too heavy/warm and not too light. I've worn it so far in 40-55 degree weather and it's been perfect. I take a brisk 45-minute walk on my lunch break at work and at about 3/4 of the way done, I have to unzip it because I get too warm. It keeps the wind out, the hood works great (can tighten it up), the pockets are deep and have dippers on them. The size guide said I should order a medium based on bust measurement, but when reading the size guide, my bust was borderline medium/large so I went a size up to a large thinking that I wanted to be able to wear a sweater under it if I wanted to. And I now feel that I should've went with the medium. I like the roominess in the torso, but the arms are about 1.5 inches too long (where it touches the base of my thumb). The coat actually stops right above my knee. So, my recommendation to anyone considering this is to definitely go with what the size chart says and don't be afraid it will be too tight. Overall, I really like it and if I can afford it, would like to get the light color one in the future--and of course, in a medium.

This fleece coat is just right when it's not cold enough for a down coat, but too chilly for a trench coat.
It's a generous length and I appreciate the zipper pockets, I bought it in charcoal grey, which looks smashing with a red scarf and red gloves.
Beware; this is not a wind-stopping coat, so wear a wool sweater under it.
On suggestion for improvement:
Raglan sleeves for even more ease of movement.

expected the material to be softer
and expected the coat to be larger around the bust and waist
the overall expectations were met

I like this jacket. It's not as warm as I had hoped. I also feel it runs small. I can't wear it with anything heavy under it

I'm normally a 1x but According to the plus size guide I ordered a size 3x but it is way to big, not sure what to do about it now. I've had it for about 3wks. Can I exchange for a 1x?

Does the job not cuddly or soft but kept the wind off and kept me warm. Feels like neoprene inside nice deep pockets. Zipper is easy and well made. I got it to work on my farm definitely fits this.

I could hardly wait to own this garment, both because of its color and because it looked so toasty warm. Its fit turned out to be snug, but once I lost 25 pounds it fit much better. The generous length and large pockets were wonderful. It works best for weather that is cool and not icy cold, though. The sleeves do not have room to accommdate a thick sweater, and any strong wind blows right through them. Thus, I would not rely this garment for warmth in deep winter. In fall and spring, however, it would work well. I continue to love it, mindful of its limitations.

I thought the inside was lined with fleece, but it's only on the outside. With that being said, it's great quality and keeps me warm. I use this as a base layer. It fits slightly large, I'm happy that I sized down.

This is a really warm coat. Runs a bit small so order at least one size bigger

Fit is a little snugger, it's good, but if you're already on the fence, size up. Otherwise, great purchase, great jacket, wife loved it!

But I found the arms less roomy than expected.
I would buy this again - very handy & useful.
I bought this in the beautiful emerald pine green, size 2x.
*Length* 5'6, long torso, perfect coverage
*Pockets* are great - I carry mittens, phone, and dog bags, pockets have room and are sturdy, no worries about items falling out.
*Fleece* not a soft indoor fleece but a hefty fleece with an inner seemingly wind resistant layer - works for light-moderate rain, not for standing at the bus stop in a solid rain. Perfect for Seattleish light moderate windy persistant rain.
Arms For comparison: llbean flannel shirt is just right in 2x, torrid 1x is just right for arm room, duluth has too tight arms, tight shoulders, and way too big a body in 2x. This Bean coat fits appropriately in 2x but I'm doing my layering in vests not sweaters. I used to swim and rock climb, so is that the arm problem? I dunno.

Adorable and comfy but wind goes right through it. That is my only complaint.

Nice coat not real flattering if your short! Just wore it on the beach in Maine I'd give it a 7 for warmth doesn't keep the wind out ! Overall decent I'm keeping it

I love the look of this jacket and bought a medium, my normal size. I would have preferred a large if they had it, for a little looser fit. The inside reminds me somewhat of neoprene, which isn't bad.

Really cute jacket, not as warm as I thought it would be, but it's good for dog walks in the fall. Also, I took an XXS which fits me perfectly everywhere except for around the collar where it's a bit snug.

i absolutely think my new coat is wonderful. The only reason it's not a 5 star rating is the zipper isn't very user friendly.

I'm 5'6" 140, 34c/27 and got a Medium based off other reviews saying to size up and it's really big in the chest/stomach area. Might exchange for a small but afraid the sleeves will be too short.

This is a jacket, not a coat. A small fit just right, I was worried due to reviews... I think if you order based on your size in a long sleeve blouse you'll get what you expect? If sleeves in a long sleeve blouse size are tight then this would fit tight...if your chest pops buttons open then the jacket will fit the same way...it fits just like a dress shirt made of fleece. The fleece is more like mock wool than some fleece you find these days. The 4 rating is because the zippers, especially the pocket ones, feel like they are gonna give out or breakdown sooner than later. Sleeve length is about average to a touch long, like you can tuck your hands up into them to keep em warm like you did as a kid. I got big thighs and a lumpy bum, so the slightly flared bottom worked well for me, but if you have sticks from the waist down I could see this jacket fitting like an A line dress. The hood fits fine too, a bit stiff if your expecting something floppy like a cotton hoodie. The lining is better than I thought it was gonna be, it's similar to a T shirt in weave, but it's 100% polyester, so it has way more structure than a stretchy T shirt. It's certainly kinda dumpy looking on, but most jackets and coats are... especially fleece and poofy down ones, so if you want a classy look this isn't it. It totally reminded me of a jacket I loved back in 1970 something when I was in preschool, for real...kinda has a nostalgic feel to it... Sorta wish it had a pocket on the inside lining too...but whatever.

Very warm. Fit is accurate. Have not had a chance to wear it yet or to wash it. Similar to one I had years ago so should hold up well.

Bought as a layer piece. Normally wear XS and it's roomy towards the bottom; flares out a bit in an a- line fashion which is unflattering and unnecessary for the XS/XXS. Lined with a sweatshirt like material that could be softer and cozier. That being said, it does layer nicely, it is comfortably warm, and besides the weird flare at the bottom, is really cute! Got it on sale in brown and I need to sew teddy bear ears into the hood. Perfect for any ma bear or gma bear. Tried the white one on and not as cute in polar bear. Brown bear for the win.
