I returned this raincoat. The zipper was not working when I first tried it on. This raincoat is not worth the money and not up to the usual L.L. Bean quality standards.

I bought this today for a trip to Northern Europe. I purchased it in a large size so I would be able to add multiple layers. I'm 5'5 1/2"and,surprizingly, the petite large fit me well. Came home and tried it on with 2 layers underneath. I was unable to get it zipped up because the zipper jammed. I had to take it off partially zipped by stepping through it. Now I'm sitting here trying to unstick the zipper. I will return tomorrow as this clearly won't work. I expected more from LLBean,

For the price of this product, I expected decent quality. My expectations were dashed when I looked at the flimsy, zipper and less than water repellent fabric. When I received this raincoat, it was folded and crumpled like an old paper bag. I tried to get it to smooth out by hanging it in a steamy shower, by misting it and letting it dry and running it in my dryer with a wet towel. Nothing took the numerous wrinkles out of the fabric. The end result is a coat that looks like you've slept in it for a month. I love the design of the coat and really wanted it to work.

Lovely color. Unfortunately, the zipper got stuck when I was trying it on and I couldn't move it. I returned it. I wish I had listened to the other reviewers who complained about the poor quality zipper.

I bought this in April of 2023. It is not May of 2024. I wore the Meridian Rain Coat on a hot 90s day. When I took it off it stuck to my skin like a wet bathing suit. It is listed as being breathable - that is not true. Do not but this Meridian Rain Coat.

I loved the jacket however as others have said the zipper is defective. After finally getting the zipper to go up it jammed completely and couldn't be moved.

The cloth was thin, the zipper didn't work well. Didn't seem like a good value for the high price.

A non-functional zipper negates the otherwise great features of this rain coat. I wish I had read the multiple reviews warning of this defect prior to my purchase. I will be returning. I expect better quality testing from LL Bean.

I thought that this rain coat looked quite stylish. However it did not function because the zipper did not zip up or down. It came stuck and stayed stuck.

I liked the color & loved the styling and bought this coat over a year ago. Now I'm back to LLBean looking to purchase a really waterproof raincoat. I was totally soaked all the way through during a downpour in Oslo this fall. It did not shed water. I don't want it to get wet again.

I couldn't even try the coat on. The zipper got stuck and I couldn't get it apart. I am not interested in hassling with a zipper every time I wear the coat. Very disappointed and will be returning it.

I was certain I received a coat with defective pockets so I chatted with customer service. Turns out the pocket design is intentional, which is hard to believe. The coat has a total of 2 pockets. When accessing the pockets from the outside, there's a zipper. The pockets are mesh on the inside and hold items just as you'd expect. The problem is on the inside. When you open the coat you see a pocket-shaped mesh lining with an opening at the top large enough for your hand so you would naturally think you could place items in the same mesh pocket from the inside also. You'd be wrong. Turns out that when you access the mesh pocket from the inside, it has a wide open bottom which allows items to pass right through and fall out. So not only does the coat not have interior pockets, but the interior mesh has an opening at the top that looks like a pocket but it has an unstitched bottom. It's an accident waiting to happen -- drop your wallet or cell phone in the mesh opening and it immediately falls out. I can't believe none of the reviews have mentioned this.

I just sent this back yesterday. The material was flimsy and the fit was terrible. The arms were too long and it was tight around the waist.

I tried this raincoat on in the store at my local mall. It looked beautiful, however I couldn't get out of it because the zipper got stuck. Had to step out of it. I decided to check the reviews on the zipper problem. There were MANY negative zipper comments. I will not purchase it. Can't believe they are still selling it. SMH

Length worked but shoulders are much too tight. I've never before had a coat that's too tight in the shoulders. Such a bummer because I liked other features - especially that it has a double zipper.

...but doesn't seem so now. I've bought better quality gear at one quarter the price. No lining, Sleeves way too long. Zipper extremely poor quality. Sigh. Time to scratch LLBean off my "I know I can trust their quality" list.

The zipper on this jacket is the worst quality I've ever encountered. The zipper is cheaply made, and it CONSTANTLY gets stuck. Each time it gets stuck, it gets stuck BAD, and when you're trying to get it unstuck, you feel like you're constantly on the edge of breaking the zipper or ripping the jacket. For the ten times I wore it, the zipper got stuck at least eight of them.

I was looking for a white raincoat with some style and was excited to see that an off white Meridian coat was available. My usual coat size is small to medium but the reviews indicated it ran small so I ordered an L and an XL. Both coats were too big and both had the troublesome zippers mentioned by other reviewers. The zippers were terrible to the point of being unusable. They were hard to zip and the moving part came off the zipper and into the fabric at the bottom when unzipping. Hoping I still had a chance of getting a workable zipper in a coat that fit, I ordered an M and received another coat with an unusable zipper. All three coats have been returned.

Raincoat had a very poor zipper. It was very tight for a size small.

Third time I have had an issue with the double zipper on an L.L. Bean jacket.The two zippers are even visibly misaligned. Not the workmanship I expect from an L.L. Bean product.

It might be a good windbreaker but it's not really worth much in a heavy downpour. Wore it on a trip to Normandy and climbing up Mont St. Michel, the clothing underneath the rain coat was drenched. My sister, who was with me, has same coat and had the same experience.

I returned the jacket because the first time I tried it on the zipper broke. I didn't think the quality of the jacket was up to par for what it cost. I was disappointed because this is not what I expected from an L.L. Bean product,

The raincoat was disappointing and overpriced. I regret having ordered it.
