I have the original jacket of this type, and I love it. That said, I realized that this one was different from the first, but I just wanted a light-weight thing to throw on when it was drizzling or looked as if it might. So I bought this model. Well, to be brief, it seems pretty waterproof--and nothing more. It's probably not a jacket you would wear around, unless you it was raining just then. It seems to have no ventilation; you end up sitting there in your own effluvium. Not a comfortable all-day jacket. But, I guess it's good enough for what it's designed for. I'm keeping it.

I love the color and fit however this coat is not rain resistant. I mean being outside, walking etc, in a gentle rain you will get soaked through. Disappointing

This jacket is very nice but kind of fitted. It is kind of tight & has velcro fasteners as well as a zipper. I guess I'm going to have to lose some weight in order to fit into it comfortably.

Was a darker green than on the computer and is so thin and for what you get overpriced.

It repels rain fairly well. The sleeves are long and it's very thin.

I liked this rain jacket but I don't think that the size was correct has marked, It seemed.like it was to small, I ordered a large but it fit like a medium, I returned it and will see what other style there may be available.

Rain jacket felt like high quality fabric and good design. However, it was significantly longer than expected and was returned.

The "Burgundy" jacket is misrepresented online. Instead of a nice brick red as shown, I received a disappointing dark plum jacket. The jacket is also very fitted and does not allow room for more than a long-sleeve t-shirt underneath. I ordered my usual size, which was correct according to the size chart. The next size up would be too large. I will likely return the jacket.

I loved my original rain jacket and it was a perfect fit. I ordered another one, because mine is so old it was falling apart. The new one in the same size is much smaller. I can't get the larger size, because the sleeves will be too long. Very disappointed . Returning the jacket. Would only recommend to a friend if they were tiny.

I'm a size M. This was too snug around my hips. I like the style, so I'm sadly going to size up.

I'm 5'3 & 142 lbs and found the MP to be almost a perfect fit. If the sleeves ran just a little shorter it would be a keeper.

I have a size M LLBean rain jacket that has served me well for many years. This fall the lining began to disintegrate, leaving small white flakes on my clothing. I ordered the green Trail Model Rain Jacket as a replacement. I was disappointed when it arrived. Though it's also marked a size M, it doesn't fit nearly as well. It's tight across the shoulders and the back hangs oddly. I wanted to love this jacket but I had to return it.

Because the sleeve adjustment tabs are too long when cinched in, the extending tab with the hook- side Velcro snags my knit clothing or anything with a nap! I'm afraid to cut the extension off because it may cause water penetration on the cuff. So, I've had to put a piece of loop-side Velcro on the extending tab. LL Bean please either shorten the tab or put the loop-side Velcro on the tab and not the jacket itself.

Nice styling, beautiful sapphire blue color, but jacket is strictly for rain coverage. It's very thin with no lining at all, so no bit of warmth for cool fall rains. I returned as I felt it was too expensive in light of that.

Jacket is effective in the rain. Only complaint is that the arms are a bit tight. It fits fine everywhere else, but with the arms being tight I cannot wear anything under the jacket.

Glad I bought it. I used practicality every day of my trip. Unfortunately sleeves are too narrow to allow much layering underneath. Of course it does not allow the cloth below it to breathe or dry out. That said I look forward to using it for years to come.

Didn't work for me. I ordered Petite but it ran too big. Returned it on Sept. 19, 2022

This is a very nice rain jacket with the exception of the arms. They are cut way to small on the plus sizes , cannot even stretch your tight arms without feeling like the back will rip out. Larger women do not have small arms, please take that into consideration. There is no possible way to wear anything on underneath. I have a 2x winter llbean coat where the arms are a bit small on that too, but not quite as bad as this rain jacket which I must return because of the fit.

This has been an overall fairly nice rain jacket with pluses and minuses. First, some pluses: it is attractive, keeps me dry in lighter rain, is reasonably priced, has deep zippered pockets, a flattering fit for me, and is true to size. Some minuses: it gets damp on inside in continuous heavy downpours; it gets soaked on outside in continuous heavy downpours which we can have here in Southeast Alaska regularly taking quite a while to dry out; in heavy long downpours inside pockets get wet and for example recently took two days to dry out necessitating disposing of fresh tissues and a few papers from inside the pockets; the navy one, perhaps others, have white lining which I find unattractive. However, I am keeping it because I looked hard for a summer weight jacket and this works at least for lighter rain with some good pluses. Also, I purchased this especially for hiking and so am out in the rain for long periods.

The upper sleeve is too tight around the arm could not even pull my arms in front of my chest. There is also a piece of Velcro at the back of the neck which is very uncomfortable. Had to send this back.

Jacket runs very small. Color is pretty but wish it had a little spandex type material.

Fabric at neck deteriorated and rain would enter there..also yellow ( color of mine)chips would be on my neck when I took the garment off. I taped it but that didn't work. I threw it out- don't know if the company has improved this.

The jacket color and fit was very good. The jacket comes without a lining....so if you're wearing a sleeveless top underneath the jacket STICKS to your skin and feels cold and wet! Also, would be nice to be able to tuck the hood away inside a zip-pocket when not in use.

Wore this over a heavy sweatshirt on a rainy walk, and felt wet and cold. When I got home, I expected my sweatshirt to be soaked through, but it was completely dry. So this jacket IS waterproof - but it feels like it isn't. That was a dealbreaker for me, but might not bother others.

I wish I had checked the length of the jacket before buying it. It is too short to be very helpful at protecting my clothes from rain.
