The zipper is sewn on the the wrong (left) side of the jacket for women. The plastic zipper is also hard to engage and then to zip up. Sleeves were a tad too long. Fleece felt thinner than my other jacket. Unfortunately, had to ship it right back.

I had to check if I really ordered a black, as it's sort of navy/greyish. Fleece could be thicker. The zipper stuck the first time I zipped it up and doesn't seem to go up all the way. I only ordered an XL because I know LL Bean women's outerwear is tight on my shoulders and I wanted to be able to layer it. Clearly not going to be a favorite. I'm going to keep it until I find something I really like and then send it to the thrift store.

I ordered this in a very light color. It was much too large on me, but I thought I could still wear it over heavy sweaters. I wore it for the first time over all-black clothes, and when I took it off, I was covered in what looked like snow and some light threads. The jacket is not a natural material and that made me reluctant to just dust it off.

Love the color, the fit & the style of this jacket. Very comfortable & stylish. It fit me the best of any of the fleeces you are selling this season. However, only gave it 2 stars because of the horrible shedding. I purchased the Silver Moon color & had white fuzz all over my shirts & would even be on my jeans. Also had white fuzz all over my seatbelt in my car. I bought other Bean fleece jackets in the past & have never had this issue with them. I saw that in another review you commented that this is natural with fleece & would stop shedding after washing. Well, I have washed it eight times & it is still shedding but not quite as much. And, now the jackets looks a little beat out! Maybe recycled polyester in not the best material to make fleece jackets out of! I will not purchase any more recycled polyester that you may make in the future.

Although I find this a very comfortable jacket- And I love the color hunter green-
The quality is very poor. The material feels more like a piece of felt than a fleece jacket.
And I had green pills all over my car seat when I got up from driving.
I do not think L.L. Bean has the best quality products anymore especially for the amount of money they are charging.
I used to be a real LL Bean fan. But the prices of the clothing without the quality to back it up has discouraged me from buying your product anymore. And I would willingly pay good money for a well-made product.

I loved this when I first got it. I wrote a great review about the great fit and style. After time the fleece is covered in fuzzy balls.

I've had mine for several months now & it is starting to pill. I suspected this would be an issue since this fleece (& many others from this company) feel very different than the fleece in years past. I'm very disappointed in the fabric & won't order fleece from this company again until the quality of the fleece improves as it was in years past. I wonder if the reason it feels weird is because it's made of recycled plastic bottles. I don't want to sound unkind, but I don't care that they found more uses for recycled plastic bottles, I want quality fabric, workmanship & performance. This is not worth the price in my opinion. It has a short lifespan unless you don't mind pilling. I will buy fleece elsewhere.

very disappointed. Fabric is poor quality, pilling all over which makes it look used, old and dirty very quickly. Not LL Bean quality. My husband bought the similar fleece years ago and it looks better than my new jacket.I love fleece, but would not purchase this product again.

I liked everything about the jacket, except that it's fabric fibers shed and I didn't like the LL Bean label on the left front side of chest.

I have ordered several fleece items over the years and have always been happy with my purchases. This jacket I purchased and received on 11/21/19, however, is not of the quality I was expecting from L.L.Bean. It is not a Polartec material, rather a fleece that simply does not wear well after a short time. After 2 weeks, the sleeves look pilled already as does where my arms rub against my torso as I walk. I was hoping to use this on the trail and but if I put a pack of any kind on it would just begin to look shabby based on my simply wearing it since I purchased it . I think I will be returning this and finding a good quality fleece elsewhere.

Got one for me and one for my wife. Immediately got fuzz all over my clothes and the house. I washed and dried one of them and it is really pilly now. Material lighter than expected. Not happy with the quality. Never had this problem with LL Bean before. Diasappointing.

I bought this jacket last season and the fit is great and it is warm, but I've washed it twice now to try to get it to stop pilling and shedding on my clothes with no luck at all. After the second wear, the sleeves had started getting little pills of fleece anywhere they had rubbed on the jacket, and my shirt was covered in navy fleece as well. Still can't get either of these to stop. Also, the fleece feels cheap, like a thick piece of felt rather than fleece. I am a huge LL Bean fan and have loved everything I've bought until this jacket. Unless they're making it out of something different, I would not purchase.

I was very excited to receive my jacket . Loved the color and style. However every time I wore it with light colored pants I ended up covered in blue fuzzies ! Not very attractive . Had to send it back .

I loved the classic look and recycled content of this jacket, but am disappointed in the fit and fabric. Fit is boxy, which I can appreciate through the chest and shoulders for layering, but even feels oddly large in the neck, body and waist. I dislike the weird half height of the collar, it's too short to cover the back of your neck, it goes like halfway up and is loose so invites drafts.
The fabric just stinks, sheds all over everything. My car, the shirts you wear underneath, bag packs, everything. If that much material is sloughing off in the first couple wears, there're won't be much left soon. Again, for $60 expected much more.

I had to return this because the sleeves were too long, coming down well into my hand. I bought a Petite Large. I have several of the sweater fleece in this size that fit perfectly, so I was truly disappointed when this fleece did not fit.

I really wanted to love this jacket. A thick, full-zip fleece is exactly what I need for layering under a shell during the three seasons of chilly damp weather in the Pacific Northwest. however, I couldn't get past what I think is a significant design flaw on this jacket: the plastic toggles on the drawcord at the hem. There is one on each side that creates a bump where it falls over your hip - not a flattering silhouette, and I can feel it when something brushes against it, like my purse. It's unfortunate because I don't think they are necessary for an already stretchy women's jacket. If your hips are so narrow that you need to cinch down the waist to keep out the cold, you should either order a size down, or go with the men's version of this jacket. I'm sorry that I need to send this jacket back, and pay for the return shipping.

I didn't like that the color was not a dark black and that the logo was so prominent. Will stick with my five-year-old Trail Model black fleece jacket even though it has pilled.

I have bought fleece jackets from LL Bean for years. I do not like the new style. I like to wear it over a top for many occasions. This jacket is TOO sporty for that. PLEASE bring back the old style!!!!!!
Thank you, I am a long time customer.

This jacket was so prominently featured in Bean's advertising that I thought it must be perfect. I was looking for Polartec and not sure what I got. I thought it was rather pricey but I needed 'warm' so I went for it. I needed something for a trip I was taking and I wanted to look nice. I also bought matching pants and accessories. For a short while I looked nice (presentable in public) BUT I am noticing pilling in areas that rub against each other!! It now looks shabby and it hasn't even been washed. What can I say? I am so disappointed in the quality of the material and am finding this to be true of other things I bought from LL recemtly.. l I know I can return this but I have so many things that I bought to go with it that that becomes a moot point. Please LL listen to what people are saying. I have been a loyal New England bred customer for MANY years. I am a walking advertisement for Your company - please don't disappoint me now.

I've worn this jacket a few months and am extremely disappointed with the amount of pilling. In fact, I've had to "shave" the jacket several times to get rid of the pilling, only to have it come back again. This is the first LLBean product that I have been disappointed with. My 8 year old Northface jacket is in better condition than this one.

When I received this jacket I was thrilled. It fit great and seemed very nice. After wearing it only a few times, the fleece is pilling and it looks like I have had this jacket for years. I have found blue fleece all over my car, my office, and my house. I am so disappointed. I don't expect this to even last until next winter at this rate. I purchased a brand new jacket and it looks slovenly and cheap.

I initially loved this jacket (in the store where purchased), but after putting it on and taking it off multiple times at home, I came to the firm conclusion that it was too snug for me to ever feel comfortable wearing it. I notice now that other reviewers who are far smaller than I am are wearing the XL -- yet according to the size chart, XL should fit me, a size 14-16 woman. In my opinion, this jacket is too short and too tight. Disappointed. Returning.

I have two ancient Polarfleece jackets from LL Bean in a similar style. They look and fit better than this jacket. The fabric feels uncomfortable. The chest is too small. The sleeves are too long. It does not even have elastic at the wrist. I will not keep the jacket. I do not like the large Bean logo.
