I was so excited to receive my Women's Mountain Classic Fleece jacket - loved the green color, and the detailed styling on the back. However, after wearing the jacket for the first time on an outing with my granddaughter, I noticed after only a few hours that the jacket was pilling, most noticeably along the seatbelt strap lines, and where my crossbody bag was in contact with the jacket. What a disappointment! I currently wear three old (one of these is very old!) Bean fleece jackets, and a fleece vest, none of which have pilled over many years of wear. I guess the fleece used in the current Mountain Fleece jackets is not of optimum quality. Sadly, I sent the jacket back. I hope Bean can do better in the future with these wardrobe staples. I'd really like another one!

I ordered the size small petite based on the size chart and the description of "slightly fitted". If the size chart is correct then the description is incorrect as the jacket would be described as being "generous fitted". I have tried washing it in warm water and put it in dryer on high, but it still has not diminished in size. So i guess I'm stuck with it. I'm 5' 1" and weight 110.

I ordered this as I have an older one that I really love. Unfortunately this one is not the same quality. I washed it 4 times and it is still getting lint all over everything, which a fleece jacket like this should not do to begin with. Disappointing from a company that usually makes good quality items. Returning.

Returned it not satisfied at all and again brown zippered pulls should be navy on navy fleece

I have several LLbean fleece jackets and this one is terrible! It sheds ! Fibers rub off on everything! Going to return.

While cozy warm on chilly days the design is unflattering. There is a stitching that runs the entire circumference of the jacket. It was probably a cost cutting decision that is in line with the top of pockets. It creates a seam above the waist line making an unflattering line. The bottom hem flares out creating an even worse look. I'll only wear this to work at home since I've worn it without looking in mirror first.

I recently wore this jacket with a black sweater underneath. When I took this jacket off there was shedding from the jacket covering my black sweater. I have two of this same jacket hanging in my closet none of which have shed like this one. The look and feel of this jacket is definitely not the same. The older one says 100% polyester. The new one says 100% recycled polyester. So what is it recycled with? It is not the quality of the other two hanging in my closet. Sorry LL Bean I will not be making any more purchases from your company.

This jacket fits badly. The jacket is tighter overall than all of the other size M Regular jackets I have from Bean. The sleeves are not large enough to wear a layer underneath. There is an odd seam in the middle of the jacket, which prevents it from hanging straight when zipped. And the LL Bean logo is bright and garish and in too obvious a place on the jacket. I have already sent this jacket back.

I was disappointed in this jacket. It looked and fit fine, but the zipper was too fussy. It took me too many tries to get it to work, so back it goes.

Great jacket, zipper pockets, good quality. Problem for me was the color. I wanted and needed a black fleece to replace my older fleece. I wanted a real black and this jacket was a charcoal black. Not a real black. It looked grey.

The zipper is plastic and it gets stuck. Disappointing quality.

The minute I tryed this jacket on, the zipper got stuck. Every time I wear this jacket, the zipper gets stuck. It is stressful to always try to rework this terrible zipper.

This is my second LLB fleece jacket in recent years and it's like a magnet for hair--any hair--mine, my cats, my dogs, any fuzzies, etc...It's also short in length (body and arms). I am 5'8", so taller than average but not gigantic, and it is just not long enough. The sleeves basely come to my wrists and the bottom of the jacket rides up, it barely reaches to my hips. I would not buy again or recommend.

Where are the tall sizes? What good is a jacket if the arms are too short? What good is a jacket if it isn't long enough?

I am so disappointed. I love the jacket, the shape, and the color. I have twice washed the jacket, it is shedding and pilling inside and outside on my shirt, seat, and seat belt. Extremely disappointed because I love the jacket. I hate to have to return it.

Very weird texture, sort of poofy but sticky feeling? Not true black, the trim was darker than the main fabric making it look dark gray. And it smelled horrible! Suck a strong chemical smell. Honestly just awful. Not sure what's happening, used to love LLBean quality

Horrible cut.. not sure what's up w/the box frump cut trending so heavily but I'd love to see classic fit not too long, not too short, or wide, fitted come back (yes! I'm a gen-x!) I was also hopeful of a more substantial weight fleece and please lose the blatant chest logo and the weird zip pulls.

The jacket is fine EXCEPT it is a woman's jacket with a zipper for a man's jacket! I would have returned it if we had not been enduring the pandemic. I would suggest you telephone before ordering to determine if the jacket will have a zipper for a woman's jacket. I have purchased other zipper jackets from L.L. Bean and they always had the correct zipper. Very disappointed!

Can the LL BEAN PATCH BE REMOVED? It spoils the jacket design. Or can it be embroidered very very small?

This is a spring or fall fest. The vest is really thin and I miss having the inside pockets as well as the breast pocket. I thought I was getting the vest from a few years ago and this is, quite frankly, unsatisfactory. I am 5 foot three and weigh 118 pounds and I ordered the extra large to cover my bum. It does that but it is not a warm vest like the previous ones. I will not buy it again and I will look for another place to buy best.
