Threw it away today. Quality is not what I expected from LL Bean. The cuffs on both sleeves came apart.

Waited 2 months to get it because it was backordered . Zip got stuck the first time I tried it on. Had to return it.

Have bought LL Bean fleece for years but I am done unless the current poor quality is improved. This jacket pilled and shed on my seatbelt during a 30 minute ride. My less expensive new fitness fleece did also.

I returned it. I have an older fleece LL Bean jacket that I live in. I needed a new one and was directed by LLBean to this one. The original had a sweater like finish on a polar tec like fabric. It was warm and good looking. This one just has a cheap puffy texture. The LL Bean logo was added on the chest and, against black, was all you could see. It was unacceptable on every level.

I purchased this fleece as a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law. Less than a month later the stitching is coming undone on the cuffs and collar. I would not recommend this product.

It is not roomy. Had to return. Have other jackets in same size but this one was too snug. Very disappointed

Great jacket, not really black. I took it back, as I wanted actual black.

This jacket is just too short and too tight -- why does LL Bean not offer Talls for women?? In addition, the fleece is a poor quality replacement for the soft and cozy Polartec fleece used years ago. For those who dislike the logo on the chest, you can remove it easily. Same with the bungee cord around the hips -- just snip it and the large plastic adjusters off.

This jacket is very disappointing. The "fleece" is more of a flannel-like material, and it pills terribly. The pilling began under the arms almost immediately and can now be seen all over. After one month, I only wear this jacket for yard work since it looks so awful.

Bean is making me "resubmit" this review even tho my original review met ALL the guidelines. Do they force all negative reviewers to repeat themselves in the hope that they will not bother? I tried this jacket on. I have had a sturdy Bean fleece jacket for years that I love and, for the price, I expected a jacket of similiar quality. I was completely disappointed. This jacket is not worth the price -not even close. The material is thin and flimsy. The stiff material used on the edge of the collar (the part that brushes your face) is uncomfortable. They didn't even use enough of the fleece to create a hem on the collar, opting for this cheap trim instead. I have a much better fleece jacket from a competitor (apparently I can't name them) for a fraction of the cost of this jacket. Pass on this jacket, you can get one just as good at your local big box discount store instead.

Only the zippers seemed of quality. The jacket, sewing pattern and fleece was of poor quality. This was a gift, this was my third choice because llbean's inventory on several items was depleted. There was plenty of time before Christmas. I have been a loyal customer for over 45 years. What has happened to the llbean that I knew? I will think twice before I buy again.

I love the color and fit, but the fabric sheds all over my clothing. And after 5 washes it is still a problem.

I have at least 6 of the old Trail Model fleece jackets and love them dearly but after so many complaints about the fit, and quality of this "modified classic", I won't buy this new style. Pilling of the fabric after just a few washings and cuffs unraveling are not something I want to deal with. Also not a fan of the full color logo emblazoned on the chest; it makes it look cheap to me. Bring back the old style fleece. I am still a fan.

Jacket was purchased in November and started pilling right away. Trim on the cuffs was coming undone and seams opening. Not the quality I expected from LL Bean, especially for the price. Would not purchase again.

I liked the look of the jacket. However, the fleece rubbed off on my clothing, my furniture and all over my car seat (leather) especially the seat belt. Not happy with having to clean up fuzz on everything the jacket touched. Ordered an XL. It was a little big. It was returned for another item.

After wearing the jacket 1 time material started shedding. Sections of the material were thin and ready to come apart. Very disappointed with the quality of the material. Sent product back for a refund.

It's difficult to believe that the other reviewers and I are referring to the same jacket. The color (green) is vibrant, but the material is thin and the zipper bulges considerably. Not the quality I was expecting for an LLBean product.

I have been wearing L.L.Bean fleece jackets for many, many years. The quality has always been outstanding. I have one that is 20+ years old, has been worn and washed more than anything else I own and still looks great. Over the years, the quality (with the new recycled fabric) has become more and more inferior. This year, I had difficulty finding one that was not "sweater fleece," which I do not care for. I settled on the Mountain Classic Fleece, for lack of choices, and have returned it. The fabric feels far inferior to the "old fleece jackets" which I continue to wear, the zipper did not move easily and there were no inside pockets, which I love. I found the jacket to be of poor quality, and not to L.L.Bean prior standards. I was born and raised in Maine and have shopped Bean products my entire life. (I am 73) My allegiance is faltering, as I have found other product quality lacking, the past few visits I have made to Freeport. I am so disappointed!

I purchased this in green last fall. It started to pill after 2 washings. Hoping that it was just defective, I returned the item and purchased another in green. The first time I wore it (without washing it first) it left small green pills on the shirt I was wearing underneath. I washed it once and now I have some large pills under the arms. I will be returning it. I also purchased this in gray and that is just wonderful. I noticed the green was made in Nicaragua and the gray in El Salvador. I would like to purchase another but don't want to have to return it again because of pilling. I'd like to find out of any other colors were made in El Salvador. That might be the key to getting a fleece jacket that doesn't pill!

A great jacket except for one thing. Wore about 10 times, then it started to pill. It came off on my car seat. The whole jacket is covered with pilling. I can even pick off the pills. I expected top quality from LL Bean.

Got this as a gift for my mom back in Fall 2018. The fleece is now full of pills - the jacket looks awful. She had an older version of this jacket from a few years ago which has never pilled. Disappointed with the quality and wear of the fleece on this one. This one is going back.

I am a loyal customer of LLBean and have bought many fleece items over the years. The quality of the fleece in this jacket is very poor. After being worn several weeks it is pilled, matted, and misshapen. It sheds continuously. Please go back to using Polartec fabrics. I own a Polartec fleece jacket that is 10 years old and appears new compared to this. Also not a fan of the logo on chest.

This's Jacket is very warm and fit perfect. The problem is the fabric. After an initial wash it left fuz on my tee shirt and jeans and everything I touched. I am returning for a refund.
