A little disappointed in this fleece. Purchased it less than a year ago and it has shrunk significantly despite following the washing instructions.

I bought this in a beautiful burnt orange a year ago. Have worn it many times, but not enough to explain the open seam on the back. Unfortunately this color is no longer listed as an option. I will do my best to repair, but the stitching is not the usual, and my repair will probably show. Quite disappointed.

I have been needing a new fleece for the colder weather and school, and this one is very good but per usual I over-estimated my size. Otherwise it is very soft, and usually I would love an oversized look but because of the fitted style it is not flattering oversized. If you are looking for a snug and comfy fleece I would recommend this one.

This jacket is very comfortable and warm. The only thing I don't like is that it sheds onto my clothes, even after washing it twice.

I loved this fleece jacket, the design is superb. I kept me warm over winter. Unfortunately, just four months after I started using this jacket the border of the cuff started to become undone. I realized then the flaw of this design... the elastic border for the sleeve is too thin, and when the elastic border is sewn, it cannot be done properly. I am sure I am not the only one with this issue I would love to buy another jacket, but please LLbean solve this issue

I purchased this fleece jacket in October but hadn't worn it much until the new year. I wanted to replace a 15+ year old favorite fleece. Beautiful, classic style fit perfectly. Loved it until I noticed pilling. A lot of pilling! So much so that my old fleece looked better. I washed as directed, resulting in more pilling. Spent an hour defuzzing it. Sadly, this is going back. I'm guessing that the recycled fleece is the culprit. Please go back to the original.

Had this about 3 weeks. Washed and dried. Still sheds and makes me look like I'm covered in ocher glitter! Put in dryer 2 more times to try to get loose fuzz off, but still shedding! Fits well and has nice big roomy pockets. Cozy jacket, but the ocher fuzz everywhere, especially when I wear dark shirts or pants, is aggravating.

As with most LL Bean jackets, this one is slightly too short for comfort. The 'high hip' fit (at least in plus sizes) is not as flattering as a length that extends 2"-3" more. Also, a slightly longer jacket is much more comfortable when active outside. I love the Mountain Classic Fleece and have one several years old. However, I would like a different color (than my black one) and thought this might fit the bill, but not the shorter length. Am pleased with a larger selection of colors.

I love the jacket - it's fit and it's warmth. But I'm disappointed with the fleece, as it's beginning to pill.

Love the look and fit. Wore maybe 10 times. Has not been washed yet. It is pilling so badly that I won't even wear it anymore except for yardwork.Have shopped LLBean for over 30 years..Quality is definitely not the best anymore.

The sleeves are too long, the pockets are in the wrong place, the full color logo on the chest is unacceptably bright, and the new fit is terrible for a stout woman. I am only keeping this one because I need a new fleece jacket. Go back to the original styling and fabric. I won't buy this one again.

Had just tossed a different fleece jacket that would cling to my clothes so difficult to get off. This one is a little better, but still clings to clothing under it and is, therefore, difficult to remove. It runs true to size, but I'd have liked it to be a little longer.

The jacket is very comfortable to wear, made and styled well. I ordered larger than normal so I could have room for layering. Unfortunately the fabric seriously pills around the cuffs, underarms and along the sleeve seams. I just didn't expect this from a llbean product. Made in Nicaragua, not the USA.

After one wash it looks old. It doesn't hold the shape. I am disappointed with the jacket.

The fleece is warm , has good pocket zippers fits well . I wish the sleeves at the wrists were tight with elastic . Surprised to see the fleece had pills on it after just one wash .

I was so disappointed when the comfort fleece was discontinued a couple of years ago. No one makes a warm fleece jacket like LLBean. I was thrilled when I saw the Mountain Fleece and immediately bought one. It is stylish, comfortable, WARM (!), and available in beautiful classic colors. The only downside is that after wearing it twice, I realized that it is already pilling like crazy. My plan was to purchase another in a different color, but I'm holding back. I know that you can do better, LLBean: I have four comfort fleece jackets hanging in my closet for 10+ years with nary a pill on any of them. Charge more if you must, but don't compromise on quality. We count on you!

This fleece I bought because I had bought the same a few years ago, but it is not the same because it is definitely lighter in fabric and I feel the older one I have is a bit better quality than the new one. It is really a noticeable difference. I guess they are skimping on the materials to save money. Also don't like the logo on the front they really should do away with that.

My husband and I have purchased many LLBean products through the years: clothing and many other items etc..., specially the classic fleece jackets. But I was dissappointed this time because the black color is not really black (as our old fleece jackets) It's like a very dark gray compared to the old black they manufactured!!! I don't know why the black is so faded!!! See photo : New jacket over the old jacket A big difference!! Need it for a trip so I will not return because of time constrain but I hope they bring back the true black color!!! I'm really upset about the poor quality of the color. Also, the LL Bean tag in front is not my favorite I don't like to wear a clothing item advertising the company- it could be embroidered and smaller!! It's too big and overshadows the other garments I wear with it

However, the sleeves on the "medium" I have always bought went to my fingertips and jacket was very snug.....tried to get the petite large to replace it and they were sold out. Went to my local Evergreen store and they didn't even have a single jacket of any kind....very disappointed and returned both jackets.

I've worn your plain fleece jackets for years. This new style is cut too narrow at the waist. Very disappointed.

I bought this because my previous style was discontinued. I would not recommend it, the jacket pills too much. Had I read previous reviews prior to purchasing I would not have ordered it.

I always have 6 or 8 Polartec-like jackets like this in my closet, many from LL Bean, and I typically wear one or another daily for most of the year, for many years. However, then I bought two of these (a second one as soon as I got the first one). But within three weeks, both started pilling, something all my other Polartec or Polartec-like jackets never did even after 5-10 years. So they look old, beat-up, and unattractive. I am thinking about sending them back. It's too bad, too, because they are very soft and otherwise pleasant to wear.
