Love the color! Fits well. It came with a strong chemical smell. I've washed it twice, there's still a faint smell. I'll give it a little more time and another couple of washings and see if the smell goes away completely. Why does this happen though?

It's ok, very pricey, but nothing special. I've definitely noticed a change in the quality of LL Bean products over the years. I haven't washed it yet and am almost afraid to. I normally wear a small, but ordered medium based on reviews from others. It was the correct choice for me. 5'3 135lb.

I had one of these fleece jackets for years....loved it. This one was the same size but too small and the material wasn't as nice and thick...was really disappointed with the quality. liked the color tho

It is a warm jacket but not nearly as nicely tailored as the one a few years ago. I was hoping for a replacement for that one. I ordered black but the color is really dark navy.

I purchased this jacket in black to replace an old LLB black fleece that I love and have worn out. Note, this black is very gray, not a true black. Second, the zipper pull is on the left side. I realize that the zipper pull can be on either side, but for women the zipper pull is ALMOST always on the right side. This left sided zipper pull makes it awkward (for me) to use. Fit is good. Fabric is soft. Could do without the LLB label so clearly displayed (but I will probably remove it). I would not recommend this.

The stiching is poorly done and coming off after one wear

Bought this last year in navy. Love the styling and fit but material started piling after first wearing and continues. Not up to LLBean quality. I may try a different color as gray was recommended.

This is a super cosy jacket but for me (5'4'', 125 lbs) it was much more bulky on my frame than I anticipated.

Bought it for my daughter but it was too big. She returned it. Do I get a refund?

I returned this fleece jacket for a few reasons. I do not like the LL Bean logo placed on the shoulder so prominently. I I would prefer that it be embossed as it used to be or placed at the hemline; again not prominently. Also, I did not like the cut of the jacket; nor did I like the quality. It's not the same quality of the fleece jackets I bought 10-15 years ago. Those were a good quality that I could wear on the coldest days when I went out for a long walk. Those wore really well, year after year, wash after wash. I wanted to replace them because I lost weight and need a size smaller.

I actually returned this. Nice quality jacket. Small in the shoulders.

The recycled fleece pills! The color tends more toward charcoal gray then true black! Sleeves run long for being Petite size!

Jacket is soft and keeps me warm. I wash everything before I wear it; and this jacket shrunk after one wash. Was very disappointed.

I am 5'4, 155 lbs, apple shape. The fit on this jacket is a little strange. It hits mid-hip, that's great, but it is somewhat baggy around the middle. All my other jackets are size Large and they don't bag like this. Also the sleeves are too long by 2 inches. The fabric is just okay. Overall, I think this jacket is overpriced for the quality and fit. I am keeping it because it is warm and I am too lazy to return it.

Not really black. It's more dark grey. Not flattering at all. Really disappointing. Loose fitting.

This jacket has many good features. Especially appreciate the slightly flared style which creates a flattering and comfortable fit. The navy color is great. Not a fan of prominent logo labels, so that's a minus. The fabric is satisfactory (better if you prefer something lightweight). I had to knock off a couple stars because of the plastic zipper -- it jammed right out of the bag, and again the first time I tried it on. I like the jacket enough that I wouldn't return it for this, but it's going to require careful handling for the foreseeable life of the garment. Wish it had the same sturdy, smooth metal zipper as the LL Bean hoodie.

Heavier than what I had hoped for. I have a lightweight one which I really like and that's what I hoped for this time too.

The second time I washed this fleece last winter the cord at the bottom of the garment came unsewed so both frayed ends were hanging out of the sides. I liked this fleece a lot, so I exchanged the damaged one for a new one in August. I haven't washed the new one yet, so the jury is out about whether the flaw is general, or whether just one particular fleece had the problem. I'm hopeful, and I give llbean a high rating for customer service in replacing the fleece.

The sienna brick color was beautiful, but I returned the jacket. I was hoping for the quality of the LLBean fleece I've had since 2010. That older jacket looks as great today as the day I bought it. This new one doesn't seem like the same Bean quality I've come to expect.

Sleeves were too long for a petite size. The fleece material by the zipper looked worn. It seemed like it would be warm, thicker than the athletic fleece.

I've lost a substantial amount of weight and wanted to replace my much used and much loved fleece. This appeared to be the closest choice to my old one. It arrived today, and it is made of a much lighter weight, less sturdy fleece than the one I bought three years ago. It's comparable to a promotional fleece I also bought at another outdoor retailer. I will return that one as I got the Bean one with my Bean Bucks, but I am disappointed! Additionally, when I called the 800 number for some guidance and the rep I talked with found my old order and recommended that I buy the one I just ordered after I told him the style number of that same fleece!!

I have purchased 4 of these fleece jackets in various styles over the years. Bought this one 2 years ago and it started pilling instantly. I thought after washing it the problem would stop, it hasn't. I've also noticed that the material is thinner and not as plush as the older coats. I love the jacket from 20+ years ago and still wear it. I wish this was the same quality.
