The fleece of this jacket is soft and very warm. But the fitted style was not comfortable to me over just a t-shirt. Now, it may be my figure is changing at 65! I would have loved to keep it, but would not have been able to be comfortable. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it is that all my friends seem to have changing figures also! Meaning busts are the same but waists larger, at same weight.

Sleeves were long. The colors vary in appearance not as photos in catalogs . It is a problem that there are no stores in the Midwest. Why did our Kansas store close! We drove 4 hours to shop at it!

I bought this fleece to compare to the LL Bean Mountain Classic Windproof Fleece Jacket Women's Plus and my current LL Bean sweater fleece. I am plus sized, 18-22, 2x. This fleece isn't great for layering as it is very thick (versus thinner Windproof fleece), but good for wearing on its on own. It is quite warm and comfortable. It hits right at the hip for me (I'm 5'4.5" tall) versus the Windproof Fleece, which is longer. I went with this fleece instead of Windproof Fleece specifically because it has a much better fit, the Windproof Fleece had longer sleeves and awkward chest/waist fit. I love my LL Bean sweater fleece, but just wanted another style. The reason this fleece is getting 3 stars instead of 5 is specifically due to the shedding issue. I washed it once before departing on my trip. It filled the lint trap, but still is shedding all over, creating balls of black fleece. I also purchased the LL Bean Stonington Crossbody purse and it was absolutely covered in black fleece balls after a day of flying. I had a lint roller with me and used 18 sheets and it is still coming off. Definitely wash & dry it numerous times before wearing and test it out with the shirt and bag you plan to wear with it.

The review parameters don't include Petite, but the size I ordered, and received, was Petite Medium. The fit is fine except for the sleeves. What happened, LL Bean?

Jacket runs small. Not quite the quality I expected.

Hard for me to review because I thought it was nice and purchased as a gift but she didn't like it much. Said the fabric was not what she liked. Nicely made, cozy feel, and fit as expected per size chart.

This jacket is great for fall or spring. Very nice feel and the thickness of the jacket. Perfect to wear under a raincoat or just by itself on cold mornings. Definitely keeps you warm.

The black version of this is actually a charcoal gray, not black. The fabric has kind of a plasticky feel but maybe that's just the nature of modern fleece. Otherwise it's fine.

First I must say I do not have one of these coats. I was going to order one but the bad reviews changed my mind.

Jacket seemed very well made, but a bit on the small side as I wanted to be able to wear it over layers.

Hubs bought this for me for a Christmas present to replace one I had gotten many years ago. This one isn't nearly as warm, the sleeves are very narrow, and the old one had elastic on the wrist. I liked my old one much better. This is a disappointment.

I was surprise is not made in USA . the material outside / inside is not that good not like my old one.

The fleece was wonderful, however, the color "mauve taupe" was horrible. It wasn't mauve at all but a washed out taupe. Returned the item.

The jacket is NOT black so I returned. Its color is a deep charcoal color.

My aim was to replace my old black LL Bean Mountain Classic jacket with a new black one. Mountain Classic is a great jacket, but this one looks charcoal gray with a tinge of blue it isn't even close to the old true black jacket that I've machine washed dozens of times. The color is definitely "off" when paired with the black slacks I intended to wear. If you are looking for a true black jacket, this is definitely not it. The jacket is going back.

Nice enough jacket but I returned it because the bottom edge was a little snug and the zipper wasn't 2-way, so not possible to loosen it.

I have been wearing these for years.. XL so I ordered again and too small. I ordered a 1X.. didn't fit and 2X too tight

I was disappointed this jacket was not as comfortable as I had hoped it would be. The zippered pockets made the pocket edges rough, piping at end of sleeves was uncomfortable and makes it almost impossible to pull sleeves up and the tether around the waist has 2 bulky pieces to tighten them that dangle and stick out and make for bulky waistline. I had hoped for a soft cozy jacket and while this one is still wearable, it's not what I had in mind when I bought it. I would not recommend it to a friend because I think there are better choices for a fleece jacket.

Nice, warm fleece jacket. Fits as expected, but the sleeves are a bit longer than typical. Disappointed had to return item because the color was not a rose, more brick/maroon.

I love almost everything about this jacket. I absolutely hate the ugly label on the front. LLBean used to have beautiful tonal embroidered labels, and it made it so much classier than all the other brands out there. I will keep the jacket I bought because it's so comfortable and has such a flattering fit., but won't purchase anymore.

i would have preferred a deeper orang/gold color less brown so returned. Otherwise I would have loved the jacket.

I own several of these jackets from past years and love them. I looked to see if you have it in any new colors and you did! However, it looks like you have eliminated the draw cord on the bottom. Is that true? If so, you have ruined it for me.

Nice Jacket, a bit bulky. Plus, I am a bigger girl and I don't like the way the back him judge out like a Ducktail. That does not look very becoming at all. I wish they would make a style that would hang straight rather than make it look like you have a very, very large buttocks!

This is heavier than I actually wanted, but I didn't want the very thin one. The person researched the one I bought in the past and said this was the same, but it is thicker. It will work taking a walk on a cool day, but not comfortable around the house. Also, I did not know it would have an advertisement for LLBean over my chest. Over the past few years I noticed this on items and I find it lowers the class and I tried to avoid it.

I bought this fleece jacket and ended up returning it. The fleece material is thick and will definitely keep you warm. For me, I ordered a size too big by accident. I thought about exchanging but noticed the fleece did shed and would get stuck to the clothes I was wearing... plus I also felt it was a little bulky. Will certainly keep you warm, but this one wasn't for me.
