I have a hard time finding jackets that fit me. I am short, busty, my arms are not long. This jacket fits me so perfectly, I am stunned. I ordered M Petite in Cinder. The proportions are amazingly good on me. Sleeves perfect length (and they have a ribbed cuff undersleeve to keep cold and rain out). Hood does not blind me and is adjustible. Most of all, it doesn't feel tight across the bust/upper back! This jacket has many cleverly placed zippers (under arms, along back hemline), so you can customize the fit by opening the zippers (they are lined, so you are not open to the elements) as much as you need to loosen or tighten the fit. The fabric is so soft, love the color, love the flattering lower hemline in the back. This is not a big bulky jacket, so it will not overwhelm a smaller person. It keeps me toasty and completely dry (truly is waterproof) in the Pacific Northwest winter. It's my favorite jacket and one of the best purchases I have ever made.

I bought this jacket as an early Christmas gift for my wife. She loves it. She says she could have worn a Small, but likes her jackets bigger, to have the ability to wear layers underneath.

This will be my 3rd midwest winter with the PrimaLoft Packaway. Lightweight, full coverage, and easy to move in. Great on winter hikes and active mom duties around town. The jacket washes up beautifully and the blue color has remained sharp (delicate cycle, hang dry).

I combed the internet for precisely the jacket I needed, and while this one was pricier than I'd hoped, it fit my needs exactly. It feels cozy before I even put it on, and keeps me warm and dry on dog walks and errands (I haven't worn it on very cold days, but it's roomy enough so I can wear a heavier sweater underneath). Perfect length -- and the unzipped back vents give it a nice flare. I like that it has only a simple zipper -- no flap over unnecessary snaps.
Now if only Bean's would stop plastering their label on prominent places on their clothing. I paid enough for this jacket -- they should pay ME for advertising it.

It took me a couple of tries to find just the right one for me, but when I did I was very pleased.
I wanted a waterproof non-bulky jacket specifically for travel and this is just perfect. I originally ordered the whitish color in a small and it was too big on me. The white/ bone color is very nice, but I was going to have to be too cautious with it and that was just not very practical for me. So I reordered the XX-small in cinder and I was pleasantly surprised how much I like that pretty neutral color which complements a lot.
The fit is close fitting which I was seeking, with room for non- bulky sweaters underneath. If you are looking for thicker layering you may want to size up.
Very comfortable with soft stretchy cuffs and a perfect fitting hood! Has its own pack-a-way bag too!
Very versatile, dress it up or down. This would work well on the trail or in the city.
Nice and stylish! Love it!

My favorite "go to" coat. Perfect for spring and fall and I wore a layer under and wore it the entire winter. I just purchased another because I liked the different colors. All the seams are sealed to keep the water out. Waist and hood adjustments are a plus. Don't change a thing!

I purchased this in Fall 2019 in the black color. Size Petite Small. I am 5' 118#. I wore it all winter commuting daily into Boston via public transport. So happy I bought this - lightweight, warm and waterproof. There is enough room that I can layer a light fleece underneath if it's super cold. The black is almost a carbon gray black. Thrilled that it is insulated with primaloft. It would be even more perfect if it had a double zipper, but I love it otherwise. I highly recommend it.

How did I ever get along without this jacket? I have been looking for a colder weather alternative to my Gore Tex rain parka and this is it! I wear it everywhere - walking the dogs, grocery shopping, errands, etc. My favorite things are the stretchy cuff liners and fuzzy pocket liners. Your wrists and hands will never get cold in this jacket. There is some reinforcement in the hood so you can shape it to your liking. I often wear a baseball cap with it and the hood covers most of the brim of my cap. It slips on easily and is so warm. The length I just right for me, since I am short. I don't like very long coats but I also don't like the ones that stop just below your waist. This coat comes to about mid-thigh - very flattering. And the blue color is sensational. I have had so many people ask me where I got it so they could buy one too.The fit is not too slim but not too bulky. I have not had any problems with the zipper as some other reviewers did. I love it! Ten stars LL Bean!

I like everything about this jacket. Fit is perfect (how often does THAT happen?). It's lightweight but warm enough for the 40's which is early spring weather where I live. It's sturdy and the zippers are easy to operate. The bright blue color is cheery, glad I chose it.

The jacket is lightweight yet warm. The cut is flattering, and the length perfect for all movements. There is sufficient room for a lightweight jacket or sweater underneath, and a scarf. Most surprising to me, the zipper is always easy to use! I haven't needed all the pockets yet, but I can understand the positive reviews they've received. Well done, LL Bean!

I absolutely love this jacket. I bought it for a trip to Alaska in September and it's going to be perfect. I've had it since January (2020) and have worn it everyday in all kinds of weather.

I bought for a trip to the Netherlands where it was cold, windy and rainy. This coat performed very well. The water droplets beaded up and didn't soak in. I was able to brush them off like on a good was job. I bought a large size do i could wear a sweater underneath and it zipped up easily. This jacket was great against the wind chill and so very lightweight. It was perfect and exactly what I hoped for. The big pocket inside was a big plus as were the sleeves and pockets lined with warm micro fleece. Perfect in all respects!

I needed a new winter jacket to be better prepared for cold weather commuting that requires waiting at the bus stop, and I wanted something sleek and warm, without feeling like a wobbling, bulky marshmallow. This coat is perfection, with the bonus of the lighter color being highly visible in nighttime conditions (I bought it in Bone)...and it's machine washable!

I ordered the blue jacket and the color is fabulous!! Kind of like a royal blue but better! The fit is great, I love that there a 2 zips in the back so you don't have to sit on it if you are driving etc.. I would say this is instead of a 2 way zipper in the front? I have worn it in the rain and so far so good. Wearing it to Scotland next month so this will be the true test.

I really like this coat. It is warm and waterproof. Love that it packs into it's own pocket. I live in Ohio and just went to Mexico. Wore it on the flight down, then packed it away until I returned home. How convenient.

The jacket packs into an internal pocket rather than one of the side pockets. This provides an extra, large hidden pocket. The jacket will fold down quite a bit even without putting it in the pocket, which I like better, because when the jacket is stuffed into the pocket, it comes out wrinkled. The visor on the hood is a plus, as is the hood adjustment. It's not a parka, but warm enough to wear with just a light sweater in 40-50 degree weather. The finished chest size of the medium is 43" and so plenty of room for a heavy sweater or layered sweaters.

I bought this jacket in black and I absolutely love the color and the fit. Our winters in western New York State can be both mild and frigid, and this coat is fantastic for the 25 and above degree days.

This coat comes close to perfect. I like that the black color is not quite black but deep charcoal. I really like that the hand pockets, neck and sleeves trim are all lined with a super soft fleece. The fit is great for my height and weight. The inside stuff pocket is big enough for my e-reader! The coat packs easily into the pocket, you don't feel like you're damaging it because the pocket is too tight. The rear zips are handy for bike riding. I've basically abandoned my formal wool coats for this one, it's just too convenient!

This jacket shocked me when I got it out of the box because it is SO LIGHTWEIGHT. I was worried it wouldn't be warm enough since it's SO LIGHTWEIGHT, but when I have it on, I can't feel the wind at all except on my face. I love the blue color also! Very pretty and true to the picture.
The hood also stayed up in fairly windy weather when I tried it with the jacket zipped. I like the hood because its "brim" that is built in makes it more sturdy so it stays in place and off of my face/forehead, but is still cute.
I wish the women's version had the zip pocket along the zipper at the chest like the men's (my husband got this jacket as well and also loves it. His has that pocket and I'm jealous!) but it has an interior pocket and zip pockets at the waist.
I also like the pit zips, ha. Nice for wearing in and out of doors.
I'm really happy with this jacket (and my husband is with his also!) and I'm looking forward to wearing it in the Faroe Islands this summer with their rainy/cold/windy/transitional weather. I'm also THRILLED with the lightweight jacket for packing and carrying it around on the trip!!
I found it TTS also, good with a big sweater/sweatshirt under it also.

I can't say enough good things about this coat! It is soft to the touch (some raincoats are stiff) and it is quite warm yet lightweight. It looks good, too and not boxy. I got the off-white and it's a really attractive color. It's perfectly water-proof.

I bought this coat after reading numerous glowing reviews from N Dakota to Florida. I have a new puppy and needed a coat to walk her in that would be warm enough for N Texas, cover my rear end, cover my neck and head ( hooded) if needed. This coat lives up to the reviews and is water repellent as well. There is a nifty inside pocket for storing doggie treats!

I live in the PNW and it is wet here a lot of the time. My last jacket was 8 yrs old and water was seeping through. This new jacket is wonderful, I've been out in the rain many many times and always stay dry and warm.
