Wore this am walking the dog and playing PickleBall for a short while. It was 33 while walking the dog, I had a tee underneath and was a bit chilly. Expected to be warmer. Playing PB it was an extra layer over a vest for first 20 minutes and worked well. Not sure if it will be warm enough in January for skiing in Montana? Will need thin warm layers underneath. Enjoy the cuffs and the venting.

I hate writing reviews but have to write this one. BEST waterproof and rainproof jacket I have ever owned. A cozy lined rain jacket. Thank you LL Bean!!

I bought this jacket for my wife, and she loves it. A hit. Fits nicely and has a good feel. She will wear this in Wisconsin for probably all but our coldest weather in November to March.

This is a great jacket - light weight and it kept me warm on a frosty morning. The hood has a snug fit to provide extra warmth. The adjustable cuffs allowed me to slip my gloves inside and kept out the cold air. And the purple color is perfect. I can't wait to try it out in Iceland.

First, the marine blue color is beautiful! I was not sure what to expect, and I loved it!
Second, the coat is warm and toasty, although, I have to admit that I have only worn it while walking outside in, at the lowest, 34 degrees, so far!
Third, the zipper options are intriguing, although I have not used them all. I like the fact that I can zip up or down the bottom of the coat in the back.
Fourth, the extensions on the sleeves are very warm, and the length of the coat, covering one's behind, is desirable.
Last, I normally order a large, but, given prior reviews, I ordered an extra- large so that I could wear the coat over a sweater.
So far, I am extremely happy with this purchase!

Can't say enough good things. Wore the jacket the first time and had to walk 2 blocks downtown in the rain. Not a drop penetrated inside. At first I was disappointed that the zipper wasn't 2-way, but there are 2 vents in the back with zippers, so you can add more hip room if you need to. Also, I usually don't like attached hoods because they never fit right. The hood on this jacket fits great and has a bit of a bill in front to help fend off the rain. I bought this jacket to wear outside when I walk the dog, check the horses, etc. But it's so pretty, I am keeping it for good and will buy a second one for roughing it. One other bonus--I bought it in spruce green and happen to have an LLBean t-shirt that I bought a couple of years ago and it matches perfectly. Now I can look good in ugly weather.

Used this jacket for the first time during the recent nor'easter and it kept me perfectly dry. The hood drawstrings kept rain and wind off the face and the back zippers allowed the jacket to open comfortably to drive the car.

Love the fit (petite) and the color. It has a comfortable hood and comes with an inner lining, which can also be used as a jacket. I can wear it as a rain jacket or a snow jacket.

I've searched for this type of jacket for 4 years: Waterproof with synthetic lining. The packability is a plus! I live on the Oregon coast where it is wet and windy. This jacket is terrific -- just the right combination of features including a waist cinch. The exterior fabric has a great feel and give -- not plasticky feeling like a lot of waterproof fabrics. Falls almost to the fingertips. I'm 5'5", 146# and the medium is a good fit with room for a sweater.

It is very warm and comfy without being hot. There isn't a 2 way zipper, but there are zippers in the back for comfortable sitting . Great jacket and the fit is not tight or loose so perfect.

Ii bought this jacket for a trip to Iceland. I needed something warm and packable. This coat fit both needs and came through the trip beautifully. It was warm, comfortable and most importantly wind and water proof. I would highly recommend it.

Great fit and length. The hood stays on which is a plus. I got the blue color and I love it.

I have been looking for a jacket like this for years and have sent several other styles back over the years because they were just not right. The jacket is lighter and less bulky than my down coat but I am guessing nearly as warm. Fit fine over a sweatshirt. Love all the pockets and the zipper is well made. I got a Regular because I wanted it long enough in back to cover up my posterior (so many jackets are too short). Waterproofing makes it perfect.

Everything this jacket claims is true. Wore to Iceland and it met the test. I ordered a Medium (big for me) so I could layer with sweaters, but probably could have gotten a small. Iceland is notoriously windy and we had one day of straight rain - temps around 50F during the day and 40F at night. This jacket was amazingly perfect for those conditions! And the best part was how light and packable it is for travel. I compressed it and secured with a large rubber band (no kidding) and put into my carry on so when we arrived in Iceland it was right there. Great investment and I'm sure to use it again on another trip.

I purchased this jacket based on the excellent reviews and am so delighted that I did! We are going to Iceland at the end of June and I was looking for a waterproof, warm( yet lightweight and easy to pack) jacket for the trip, this certainly fits all the criteria! Fortunately, I also packed it when we went up to Cooperstown, NY for memorial day weekend and got to try it out! It was rainy, windy, cold (about 39 degrees in the morning), and it kept me dry and warm, and comfortable. I am sure that I will enjoy this jacket for a very long time!

Order the Packaway Jacket for an upcoming trip in November, but have been wearing it now due to the current cool spell. I like the fit, style and love the Spruce Pine color.

I purchased this exact jacket 3-4 years ago, and have worn it in all kinds of conditions all around the world. It's waterproof, and warmer than you might expect. even in the coldest conditions, at a higher altitude with a steady wind and drizzle, it kept me warm enough with a thick vest, sweater, and cotton turtleneck underneath. My first jacket is still like new, in spite of considerable wear, but I like it so much that I checked to see if it was still available, so that I could order a second one to have as a back-up, before it gets discontinued! I highly recommend this jacket. Worth the price.

Light-weight, easy to move in, great color and hood. You stay dry even in a long heavy pouring rain. Love it!! Great side pockets and inside pockets. Just a super fantastic jacket all around.

Finally the perfect jacket for home and travel. It's extremely light, but warm & waterproof. I bought the large so that I can layer when traveling to cold climates. I couldn't figure out how to fold it into the pocket, but was able to roll it up so that it fits into the hood.

When the package arrived, I thought it couldn't be the jacket--it wasn't heavy enough: but it was the jacket. When I examined it, I thought it couldn't be warm--too light, but I was wrong! It heated me immediately when I tried it on. I thought I'd not be warm enough outside in the cold, but I was wrong again! I was cozy!! This jacket is incredible! It's light-weight, but a heavy-weight for warmth, comfort and appearance. It's water-proof, drapes well and is washable, too. For years I've worn the Winter Warmer coat, but I believe this jacket has eclipsed it in my book! And it's packable! It's a good buy all the way around!

This coat is the best coat I have ever had in my entire life. The fabric is light weight, but cozy. It blocks our very serious Colorado wind and cold, as well as rain, from reaching me. There are no contortions necessary in putting it on or taking it off, no pinch in the elbow as my arms bend. The fit is comfortable, smooth, and the coat is a joy to wear. The hood is comfortable and does not cause feedback (I wear hearing aids). The coat is long enough to provide good coverage, but not so long that I trip on stairs. WOW!

My wife loves this coat, she now has two. Light weight but very warm. Launders well when it gets soiled.
