This is the right jacket for most winter conditions. A waterproof breathable shell, pit zips, just enough insulation for all but the coldest of days and the hood cinches up no matter what kind of hat you're wearing!

It is light weight but warm. The only issue is the zipper can be difficult to close.

This jacket is perfect! The fit is great, I like the longer length, it is light weight, waterproof, and just what I needed for snowshoeing and XC skiing in northern Michigan.

Exactly what I was expecting. Ordered a medium I'm 155 lb 5 ft 4 in. Fits with plenty of room for heavy sweater underneath. Bought this specific jacket because it's packable and fits in my backpack for airline travel. Warm enough but don't expect this jacket to be the same as a down jacket. Only Improvement that I can think of is having a two-way zipper.

Really great jacket! Like all the secure pockets and can stash hat and gloves in inside area! Cell phone fits in zippered outside pocket. One feature i didn't know about was the ability to unzip 2 vents in back area to loosen bottom to sit! Great touch!

Lightweight & flexible but warm! I didn't expect it to actually keep me warm with how thin the coat is but I was hot in 40 degrees.

Throughout the NH winter I am constantly in and out of the car at work in home healthcare. This coat keeps me toasty outside in -5 temps with just a long sleeve shirt beneath and I don't overheat in the car so it seems to span a large range of temperatures without the bulk. I am pretty sure you would have to be jogging with a good baselayer to be warm in it at -25...but you shouldn't be outside for long if it's that cold! Very flattering cut and flexible, quiet fabric. I am 5'4" with a long torso, 34A 130 lb at my heaviest and an XS fits perfectly with or without a sweatshirt under. Soft, fitted wrist cuffs keep the chill out of the sleeves, lined pockets, inner zip pocket, wire in the hood brim, hidden strings to adjust hood opening, side zip openings to widen at the hip, and armpit zips to mesh vents are luxurious features I now cannot live without. Very well designed. It is pricey but this is now my favorite multi-season, multi-activity coat.

This jacket is exactly what I've been looking for! It's lightweight yet warm, longer than most jackets so provides good coverage, wind proof and water proof- and I found the fit to be perfect (especially the hood) I just love it!

Tall people may want to get an XL for shoulder room and sleeve length if you're going to wear something heavier underneath for layering (5'11 165) Otherwise, great insulated rain coat bought for daughter. Getting one for me. Pockets are warm as well. Good job LLBean!

Lightweight yet keeps me very warm, I had the same one previously but the zipper kept separating and I'm hoping LLBean will repair it.

I can't say enough great things about this jacket. I was skeptical at first that this lightweight jacket could keep me warm now that the cold and wind is here in NC but it does. On my walk the other day the windchill was 29 and I was comfortable with a long sleeve top on underneath the jacket. The knit cuffs at the wrist is perfect. I did go one size up since the top is a bit more fitted. The bottom does not balloon out and it's a perfect length for once. I'm originally from VT and I'm use to needing the bulk to keep warm. I'm so impressed my husband is looking to get one, too.

This jacket is everything it promises to be and more - lightweight, waterproof, warm, and breathable and has a lot of other great features. Although I have owned it for less than two weeks, I have worn it in the rain and cold weather (22F) and have been completely satisfied with it. It has kept me dry and warm on my daily walks.

My mother bought this jacket for my daughter's spring college workshop out in the woods. She used the jacket many times, but a true test was when she canoed the entire length of the Moose River in Maine, spring of 2021. The group experienced an entire day of hard rain on the river, and many of the group did not stay dry. My daughter did stay dry, thanks to this jacket. Amazing performance and worth the money.

Excellent quality with some unique special features like the zippers in the back and underarm zippers to cool down. I love the length and the fit is perfect The sleeves have my favorite inner cuffs as well as velcro. Just bring back the two-way zipper and/or a protective panel with snaps across the zipper as sone one can leave the jacket unzipped that way and just use the snaps and either of these options would allow someone to sit more comfortably. That would make it perfect! I have never had problems with two-way zippers since I was shown to bring them together and hold them that way while putting the end in. I recommend this jacket as it's very comfortable and practical, waterproof. Nice colors, too.
