I ordered XL as i wear it over a sweatshirt. It is comfortable and easily goes into pouch to pack. i used as pillow on plane. It was warm enough for the chilly weather in San Francisco but don't think i would wear it below 40 degrees. I also think it would be good for shoveling snow worn over sweatshirt as shoveling works up a sweat.

I recently took this vest on 2 trips and wore it almost every day. It weighs almost nothing, yet provides some warmth. There are pockets galore to keep up with your hotel key, car keys, etc. I highly recommend this vest!

I purchased the Quarry Gray Primaloft vest because I wanted a non-bulky vest that I could wear under a coat, and easily pack in a small suitcase. I was attracted to the light color in part because all my other vests are dark, rich "winter" colors, and I liked the idea of having a lightweight and light color vest to wear in spring, and for cool summer weather in Maine. The bright yellow zippers and lining really liven it up. Though I'm not a big fan of yellow I do like it in combination with the pale grey, and other people must like it too as the vest has attracted several compliments. Just a note that the yellow lining and yellow zippers are not the same shade, but no one else will know. I find this vest very comfortable and the fit is much improved over previous styling. It is nicely "contoured" to the figure without being tight, and the length is perfect. One reviewer did not like the lack of a two-way zipper, but I haven't found that to be a real problem, though it would have been nice to have. It packs into its "self-pouch" easily enough, and hardly took up any room in my suitcase. These days I am generally wearing a Misses Medium size (meaning, I've moved up a size now in my late 50s) but I ordered this in a Small since Bean clothing often runs a little large. The small fits perfectly. I'm 5' 4" and 142 lbs. I am very happy with this purchase but would not have bought it at its regular price; it's just too expensive-- I waited for a site wide sale opportunity. This is definitely a go-to item for me now as I have a number of shirts that look very good with it, and scarfs too, that change up the look.

It's long enough, great color, the perfect extra layer!

It would be perfect if it was lined too. Also it is very pricey. I could afford it because it was on sale (maybe discontinued?).

So far, I just love my new vest, although it is just a tiny bit snug in the hip area. It will be wonderful to pack for those trips when you just never know what the weather will be!

A comfortable vest with nice color choice and design. It runs large. I ordered a medium, but returned it for a small.

When worn as an extra layer, this flattering PrimaLoft vest provides additional warmth. I would have rated 5 stars if the logo had been placed at the hem instead of at the breast pocket.

Wardrobe staple in part due to chest pocket being so handy. It runs a bit large and long. My biggest critique is the lack of a two-way zipper. Because it's long it has to be bunched up to enable comfortable sitting when zipper is closed. And the one way zip wears out due to constant "stress."

I would like to say this vest is perfect - good fit, 4 zip pockets, lightweight, but there is one problem. LLBean - why did you stop lining the hand pockets with the nice soft flannel fabric? This one has nylon and it isn't warm like previous linings. I own coats, jackets, and vests that all have the nice lining, but sadly this one does not. When you are out in the cold, nylon does not keep your hands warm like flannel.

Lightweight and warm. One point off for the prominent logo ( thought about another of these as a gift but didn't think the recipient would like that part if it).
I tried both a petite medium and large. The medium is plenty roomy even over a fleece.

Nice primaloft vest but too long for me. Hit way below the hip. Returned.

I love this vest, I have one in blue and I wear it frequently. I did return the latest one I bought, only because I didn't care for the color

I would have given 5 stars but with a longer vest there should be a double zipper. Uncomfortable if driving or sitting while this vest is zippered up. Needing to always unzip the vest for comfort. But like the lightweight material and has been holding up.

I had to try 3 different vests this year from LL Bean to find one that would fit. Petite sizing has changed.
This is lightweight, but definitely keeps you warm with a good layer underneath.
Is it worth the money? That will be for the individual buyer to decide.

Love this vest but I did not keep it because it bothered me that the zippers are not the same color as the body of the vest in the blue color way. The vest fit nicely, soft, no crinkle sound as you move about. Size is true. The blue is a great color---just wish the zippers were the same color--they jump out at you when they are this contrasting color--I wanted to wear it with other colors but the pale blue did not work

Just received this vest. I love that it packs into the pocket on the front. Feels light, can't say about warmth right now. I run hot while hiking, and wanted a packable vest to take up less space like my packable jacket in my backpack.
My problem was trying to pick a size. I'm 5'9, weigh 185 with an apple body. My measurements were all over. From a large, to an xl. I finally decided to order both sizes. They came in just a few days! I ended up being a large, which according to the size chart, shouldn't fit my stomach area. The hips were way too big in the xl, since I don't really have any. With the large, I can use the elastic on the side to pull them in. I usually buy mens and prefer the way things fit because of my thicker waist and no hips. I'm a true Large in mens clothes. Women's is more difficult. I don't like the fit as much, with the hourglass shape, but I like the women's colors better, and it looks more feminine.

I am amazed at the warmth and windproof feel of this vest material! The high collar is great. The only drawback for me is gapping between shoulder and chest. The rest fits perfectly. So happy to see more interesting colors for women, too.

Love the pink and like the extra length. Slightly puffier than my ideal but still not too bulky. I'm generally size 10, the large is too big so sadly need to return. Medium would likely be a good fit

I sent this vest back. It was too large for me and the zipper did not work very well. I liked the style, but I thought that if I purchased a smaller size the zipper would not hold up.

Love the lightness, warmth, sizing of the vest. However it is too long for me, even in petite. I prefer a shorter vest at waist or top of the hip level. This allows free movement of the lower extremities especially when xc skiing, biking, etc.

I am 5'3" and the fit of the petite vest is great for me. Hits mid hip--sometimes regular size vests are too long so then I try the petite. I was looking for a bright medium blue and love the color--but I find the pale blue zippers distracting. They do match the lining but take away from the overall look of the vest I would have kept the vest if the zipper color matched the vest color as it does in other colors offered.

Super light and great quality - I returned it but only because I don't love when things are too tapered in the waist

Wonderful quality vest that looks great. Runs big. I'm 5'3" and 140 lbs. and needed a small petite.
