The color, quality, fit and weight are perfect. This vest can be worn all day and fits comfortably under my coat. It will be a winter essential in my wardrobe. Great purchase!

My husband and I both bought one of these for traveling in Ireland and Scotland in chilly, rainy June. It was a perfect layering addition. I literally wore it everyday of the trip, the pockets helped me hang onto my phone and money so I did not need a purse. The fact that it folds into a pocket was another reason for buying it. It could be stored in a backpack as needed.

I love this vest so much that I also bought one in black. I traveled throughout Europe this spring and it was not only wet but cooler than normal. This vest was great in layering under my raincoat and very packable! The only suggestion I would make to LLBean: please stop putting your logo on the front of your clothing. Your clothes are well made and good looking but the huge logo does not add but detracts from the look When in another country, my aim is to blend in, not to stand out!

I live in Florida and bought this vest for travel to the American west this summer. It's lightweight and very packable. Looking forward to wearing it!

I originally ordered the medium, which I usually do, and often LLBean runs small. However, I did return the medium and ordered the small, which fits great. I ordered the sale color Quarry Grey, and it is lovely. I am traveling to Europe and it is still quite chilly in the areas I am going. This will be the perfect item to wear to be warm, but not too warm!

I love this vest. The color and length are so flattering. (I have the green/Khaki version.) This vest traveled well without being folded into the pouch. There were no wrinkles from rolling it up and carrying it on. There are so many secure pockets that is was easy to stash my passport, money, tickets, and phone without fear of anything dropping out. It is warm and soft. The full sleeved jacket would be amazing if that much is needed but this is so versatile for cool weather or cool A/C areas. Handy!

This great, lightweight vest has been my go-to outerwear for walking in this chilly, damp spring. I bought it on a whim on sale in the gray and I am really happy with it. The vest itself is neutral but the yellow accents brighten up a dreary day. Most of all, I like the fit and light weight while still providing just the right warmth for spring. I can also see using it as a layer under a roomy shell. This is a great product and I recommend it to people wanting something light, packable, and comfortable.

Really like the light weight feel of the vest. Perfect for early spring days. I first ordered a small, but it was too large, and returned it for a x-small. This fits great.

It is a perfect fit for me and very versatile during cool days, I can wear it on sweaters or shirts easily. the arm holes are perfect for me. overall I can't find any negative comments.

This vest is better than I expected. I bought the matching jacket for an up coming trip to Scotland. I wanted something warm...but didn't weight a ton. The vest is fabulous. It seals in your body heat without making you overly warm. It is wind and waterproof. The other night I had to check on my horses and it was pouring down rain and I remained perfectly dry. If I had it to do over again. I would purchase the vest. I am actually thinking about getting another one in a different color.

I bought a number of vests this past fall, respected well known brands. I didn't love any of them but I made do because I live in a light weight vest in my house in winter. When I saw this vest on the 2-A-Day Markdown, I decided to give them a try. I bought two - red (sort of light orangey red) and gray. I have never had a vest fit so well and be more perfect in all regards. They are very flattering on my senior figure. There is definitely room to wear a sweater under it but it is also great over my LL Bean flannel shirt. The waistline hits right at my waist and I LOVE the bit longer length. I will return the gray one because it doesn't look great with my coloring. However, I have bitten the bullet and ordered a black and a green vest at FULL PRICE. Now, for a penny pincher, that is love!

My husband bought this for me for Christmas, and I love it. I live in central Ohio, which means that from September to March we have many seasons: fall, sort-of fall, almost winter, spring-like,winter, and dead-of-winter, in no particular order, sometimes all within a week. I hate wearing a bulky coat when I drive or go in and out of places, so this is perfect for when I have to run around taking care of business. It's long enough to cover my seat when I'm wearing longer tops, which is a great feature.

I find I wear vests a lot in cool and cold weather for the extra core warmth. This Primaloft vest is so versatile and lightweight. I sized up so I could put a sweater, sweatshirt, or multiple layers under it and also wore it under my coat for a vacation to a very cold weather area. The multiple zippered pockets are great and I had no problem finding the packaway pocket to stuff the vest into. It is a functional and useful item and I really like it.

This vest is precisely what I anticipated, and it is exactly what LL Bean describes. The length is just below my hips. It is tastefully fitted. The style allows me the option to wear a shirt or a sweater under it. The blue color is beautiful. The construction is excellent quality: the amount of pockets fulfills every need; the zippers look good, and they are sturdy. I especially like the iPod pocket! I live in San Diego where nights are cool. Even though it is very light-weight, the vest is warm. I only need to wear it, and I can leave my heavy jacket at home.

I am amazed at how thin and light this vest is... and it is very, very warm. So glad I got it!!

This is a Christmas gift for my daughter...I am sure she will Iove it I have sent her many items from LLBean in the past...and there isn't one she hasn't found awesome yet!

I am a slender senior, only moderately active due to disability. I tend to get cold easily, and so core warmth is important for me. I like the length, weight and pockets !!! on this vest These latter are good useful sizes, deep enough to hold mittens, phone, kleenex etc. and well-placed. The vest is very lightweight but warm. I like pushing up my sleeves if things heat up a bit, or when I am going in and out, so appreciate that I can do this and still retain my body heat. I wear a lightweight wool shirt, plus a silk one under the vest, when it gets icy cold here in Vermont. The vest fits nicely under a light wool zip sweatshirt I puchased from Beans, and then, under my LLBean jacket when deep freeze sets in. I ordered four different LLBean vests at the same time, so I could easily compare; this was not the least expensive, but the fit is' perfect' for my build ( a little heavier in the belly area than I used to be). Each of the vests fit quite differently ... so I am glad I made that choice to do them at the same time. Free shipping/returns is a huge plus for me. I am very happy with my purchase.

This vest doesn't feel like it should be warm but it is! It weighs almost nothing and is perfect over t's and sweatshirts. Great for working outside-it's not bulky and doesn't get in the way.

I really love this vest and I love the front zipper pocket! I have other vests that are either too flared at the hip which makes me look fat, or they're too tight which makes the vest ride up. This fits perfectly. The beautiful color is what drew me to this and it did not disappoint!

Bought this is replace one that was lost. Love this for travel. It packs up nice and small. Is warm and works well with layers.

Purchased for a winter trip. I ordered the jacket and vest for my husband and myself. They run small so we had to return his for larger size. I purchased XL for both of us but he had to return his and go up to XXL. Normally XL would have been big on me but other than the sleeves being a bit long neither the vest or jacket are too big for me. Had to return husbands XL in exchange for a XXL because the XL was a bit tight in the shoulders and body. I wanted room to wear layers under them without feeling uncomfortable and I think they will be easy to travel with.

This vest is extremely comfortable. Can be worn indoors for just a little extra layer of warmth on cold days or layered for extra outside warmth.
