I love this vest!! It is not bulky or overly puffy and very comfy; ideal for outside as the weather turns cooler. I'm sure I'll be wearing it all winter inside the house since we keep our house cooler. A great investment for my wardrobe!

I originally purchased a medium as that is what I normally wear. I had to exchange it for a small. The small still has room to move even with my long underwear, shirt and medium weight fleece under the vest. It's a great light weight addition to my ski gear to add additional warmth to my core.

I love this vest. I bough the rich berry in XS and it fits over layers well. The color is gorgeous. I am tall and have a long torso - I love the length of this vest. It is very lightweight but warm and wind-repellent. The pockets are well designed and it is a flattering fit. I loved it so much that I bought the Mariner Blue but sized down to an XXS to wear over tee shirts and base layers during the cool Spring and Summer nights in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Still plenty long and the color is also gorgeous. These vests run large -- I recommend ordering a size smaller than what you would normally wear. If you are tall you will be pleasantly surprised with the length. The XS hit mid at mid hip and the XXS upper hip area. Very well made. Highly recommend.

This vest looks stylish, keeps you warm, and can be layered under a jacket for extra warmth. The length is perfect. I'd like to see more items with a longer length from L L Bean. I have had several positive comments on how nice it looks.

I choose the vest for skiing, worn over long johns and a turtle neck, to replace wool sweaters that I have worn in the past. I found it to be a good replacement, warmth on the core, but no bulk or added layer on the arms. It packs well into a small self pouch. For a petite, it is long and I would not have been happy with the length as an outer layer. Under my jacket, it was the same length, so it did not curl up underneath the coat. I have worn it skiing for two weeks and found it to be great.

I bought the dark marine blue color; it is much darker than the color on my monitor. It is close to a navy color with a hint of teal. On my monitor the main color looks like a medium blue. The zippers are the same color as the lining, kind of sky blue. I do like the color. I haven't worn the vest yet.

I love my LLBean PrimaLoft Packaway Vest! It's light, but warm and it's waterproof so I can wear it on the golf course at anytime and it doesn't restrict my swing! It's comfortable and I've gotten several compliments on it; one in particular saying that she wasn't fond of the "puffy" jacket/vests because it made her look like the Michelin Tire man, but she loved mine! I ordered the Red and I like it so much that I'm ordering another one!

I liked it yet I returned it. I had a Small-Regular in another LLBean vest that I Love. This vest measured 4 inches bigger than my other vest?!! I returned it for an XXSmall, which I was told has the measurements of my other vest. I haven't received the new size yet.

I really like this vest. It is lightweight yet warm. I have not been out in wet weather with it yet. LL Bean has never disappointed me. If something doesn't fit, no problem. Returns are so easy. It is enjoyable to call in and place an order because of how friendly and personable the employees are.

I love this vest. I was in the Freeport store on a day when everything was 30 percent off, and splurged on this vest and the matching parka. Got them in bone, so they're gorgeous. They're both whisper light and surprisingly warm. Love the pockets - there are four on the vest - so I can shop and go to outdoor events without carrying a purse. The length is perfect, and the collar stays away from my face - a big bonus. The vest does run a little large - I moved down to an extra small and it's perfect. Now if it just offered in charcoal next year I will be the first in line. Well, when the sale starts anyway.

I own 4 of these vests. They are light weight and warm for layering under a jacket. I do Tai Ci classes in the morning and it can be cold in the gym. Wearing these vests gives me the perfect layer over a long sleeved shirt without being to hot. I love the colors, blue, green, ivory and plum.

My wife loves her vest. She says that it's comfortable and warm.

This is my second purchase of a packaway vest. I also have the packaway jacket with hood. Love how this ultra-light layer keeps me warm. It's very easy to carry in my tote. So when the weather shifts to cooler temps this vest will keep you warm, and this vest also works as an extra layer under a jacket when it's really bitter cold out.

This vest fits over my clothing and the small pocket is perfect size for my cellphone. It fits under my coat well and I wear this vest everywhere I walk to. My job is very demanding and I am on my feet during the hours I work. I am 5'6" and my weight is 146 lbs. I'm sorry I didn't take a photo of me wearing the vest. I am a poor selfie photographer on cellphones and tablets. The other pockets in this vest are well constructed and I carry my home keys, snacks and other items in the pockets. I truly love this practical vest for comfort and fit.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I wear this vest every day to walk to work in the spring /summer / fall. Then, I take it hiking on the weekends and it holds up and is perfect. I have the black version which can fit my professional look need as well as I get to vary my shirts underneath for fun flare without wearing too many colors. I think it's very accurate to say that this vest is worn with a mid weight layer beneath it. I don't wear it in weather less than 55 degrees or so. I'm thinking about getting the full jacket version. I love this vest so much.

This is my second vest. I love them. Light, warm, comfy. I bought a size up because I am a big time layerer. Works for me.

Perfect fit for me especially love the two way zipper and the soft sides. Thinking about getting another color. Wish the jacket had the soft sides too.

Wear it and it's warm and comfortable. Also pare it with my coat purchased from LLBean last year. Awesome!

Bought this vest on sale which made it that much sweeter! Love the color, bought the green, and the fit is great, true to size. Although a lightweight vest, it is very warm when worn with a sweater or sweatshirt. Brought it to Scotland in September and wore it nearly every day with the temperatures in the 50's, packs beautifully!

I haven't taken this off since it arrived. I have ordered these for both my kids as well!

Bought my first primaloft jacket last year for a cross country ski trip to ADK. Worked great in low temps for the trip. I did wear it other times but living in Delaware, I dont wear too many winter jackets. I have 1 vest by another company but it's bulky. Decided to buy the primaloft in red. Love it...its not been too cold yet. Excited to wear this for a weekend in Upstate NY next week.
