Not quite as warm as the description suggests that it is. Lets the chill in a little more than I anticipated. Like the color, ease on and off; good design. Attractive. Seems a little smaller than indicated size. I would recommend it to a friend with the understanding that they will need to wear a sweater to improve warmth to the degree one would expect and probably order a size larger.

I bought the light foggy blue and love the color! I'm replacing it with a petite b/c the sleeves were too long for me. I bought this as a travel jacket so I'm opting for the hooded version but I like the look of the one w/out the hood. Hood is practical but unattractive the way it gathers around the face. Some of the other Primalofts have a better hood but not in this color.

This jacket is very lightweight and packable. It is a great grab and go for the winter months . Love the hood for the wind. Although is is not meant for the bitter winter cold it is easy to layer. The interior pocket is deep and can easily fit a wallet and exterior top pocket fits an I phone . It is overall a comfortable jacket. Glad I made the purchase.

Needed a nice packable down jacket for upcoming trip to National Parks. Purchased a LLBean packable down jacket in a nice blue. Loved the price point and fit and the hood was an added plus. Packed nicely and when I reopened it, all wrinkles fell away. My only recommendation for improvement is that I would have preferred a sewn on label vs. the iron on.

Very lightweight winter coat works well with a sweatshirt underneath. Does not stand up to any kind of wind or cold below 35 degrees. Runs large.

Not as warm as expected for a winter coat. Core remains warm but arms drafty. Better as a fall or spring coat.

This is a very flattering lightweight jacket. it is not as warm as I would like. And I would like to see cuffs on the sleeves. As cold as it gets in northern Ohio, this isn't the perfect winter coat. Good for temperatures above 30.

I like the coat very much. I especially like the top vertical pocket where I put my cell phone. The inside pocket, meant for packing away the coat into, is also useful for securing items, like a fold-up shopping bag.
The only downside for me is that it doesn't seem as warm as my previous Beans coat which I have had for years & am only replacing it due to a zipper problem, which persists even after a new zipper was put in.

I have three Primaloft jackets. One without a hood that I wear around town. I depend upon my hooded jackets for personal safety when hiking the mountains in ME and NH in winter. If I'm too warm and sweating on an ascent, the jacket packs away easily-- AND dries in my pack. I layer it with a fleece and a windbreaker-- either a nylon anorak or my GoreTex-- and I'm comfortable on the decents. The new, zippered pocket on the outside means I don't have to unzip to get at my phone. Because of the fitted style, in order to layer, I have to use a larger size which causes gaps in the chest area where precious heat can be lost in an emergency.

Just bought several days ago. So far I enjoy wearing/nice fit too. (I bought a Med/& I'm 5/1"& Perfect for weather that's not real cold. Always like a jacket w/a hood that I can pull up over my head if weather is cool & windy when I'm out walking, etc.
nice & light,

I love this coat! The sizing is perfect, it's flattering and very light weight. However, it's not as warm as I expected. If it's really cold out then I would wear a warmer top or sweater. (If I know that I'll be outside for a longer period of time.)

Warm and light weight. True to size. Purchased this same style about 6 years ago and loved it. Used it comfortably for about 3 of the 4 seasons in Maine! Only wish the new coats had the zip chest pocket on the inside (like the original). Side pockets don't seem quite as deep either but they zip.

Great fit. Would give 5 stars if it was several inches longer and had additional inside pocket.

I was quite surprised that this came in a very thin package, almost like it was a blouse being delivered. I pictured something fluffier, like down. I purchased it for a vacation in Colorado this winter and wanted something warm to wear outside. For one thing, it will be extremely easy to pack! It appears to be made well, as is just about everything from L.L.Bean. So while I haven't temperature tested this yet, I do have high hopes!

I have mixed reviews about this jacket. On the plus side, it is super light, fits me well, is a beautiful color, has good pockets, and I've gotten many compliments on it. On the negative side, it is NOT very warm and would not suffice for our coldest New England days. For in and out of the car, and between seasons it's perfect. It feels extravagant to have this when it doesn't meet the need for a warm coat, but it looks great.

Love the fact that this jacket has a hood; it's good for moderately cold weather and works better with layering. Consider sizing up if you have a midriff - it's a tapered cut that has a closer fit.

This is a nice jacket and is warm for it's weight. My only complaint is that it is quite loose and baggy. I normally wear an XS Regular in LLBean clothes and this one is particularly large.

I bought this jacket recently and wore it for the first time today. I love the jacket. But I had it on for less than 2 hours and the zipper split. I have found that the thin zippers being used are subpar for LLBean. This is very disappointing.

I desperately wanted this to work. I ordered the marine blue and it is stunning. Not quite as bright as the pics online, but even better in person. Everything was great except the shoulders we're too tight for me. I'm very broad across my chest so when I moved my arms the sleeves pinched right where my chest meets my arm. Otherwise it was perfect. The hood sits perfectly on your head, the pockets are great, it's lightweight and warm. This flares out just a bit at the hip, so I think it would even work for pear shapes. I'm more rectangular, so hips aren't an issue for me like my broad shoulders are. Sizing up might make it better in the shoulders, but then the hip/waist part would be way too big on me. I will keep the similar Primaloft Stretch coat instead, though I really liked the finish and styling on this coat better. This seems a little lighter than that one, but I require the stretch in my arms. (I have to say that one is crazy comfortable and stretchy, even with a thick layer underneath.) If you aren't broad across the shoulders, this would be a beautiful, multi-functioning jacket for you.

Color green is impressive with cinched sleeves and bodice. My only complaint is I don't need a large in the stomach just need a medium tall and so few LLBean options in Tall sizes. Otherwise I overall love it.

I bought this jacket hoping to replace my heavy winter jacket but I have to wear a fleece under it if it's below 40. It's a nice lightweight jacket, easy to pack when traveling. It has extra pockets which I always look for in a jacket.

I liked the jacket style and color. Unfortunately the sleeves were too narrow. I'd never get a sweater on under it. I sent it back.

Just what I wanted! Lightweight, but with enough room for a sweater underneath. Slightly fitted, so I don't look like a box. Great hood; the elastic keeps it from flying off in the wind. I'm not thrilled with the color, but that was what was on sale!
