Very warm jacket that fits well, but not enough pockets. Could use a couple pockets on the inside lining for sunglasses & iPhone.

Love the fit and color. I was hoping it would be a little warmer for Maine winters. Petite small.

The only part I don;t like is the sleeves are a bit tight for wearing much underneath but I do have very heavy arms compared to most people. I love how lightweight but warm it is and easy to carry in its pouch

Pleased with this puffer jacket. I bought it primarily for hiking, and it works well for this purpose. Keeps me warm in the beginning of the hike, then I can shed it as I get warm while moving. It is compact and takes up very little space in my backpack, then I can put it on again when I cool down. It's also useful for daily wear in cool but not frigid weather. I like the hood, and the pockets are in all the right places. As other reviewers have noted, it does feel tight across the shoulders, and it shrinks well above my wrists when I extend my arms. I wish I'd sized up, but I'm going to keep this because I don't want to be wasteful and this works mostly well for my purposes. I just can't understand why Bean made it so snug in the shoulders and arms (I'm proportionate for my size), which seems like a design flaw. If I'd sized up I'd probably give it 5 stars. Sizing up, though, would make it larger in the torso than I need.

I'm pleased with this light but warm jacket. For me, it's ideal for temps in the 30s or 40s and the hood is handy when needed. Expect that it will be great for travel. Not sure how it will hold up over time or whether it will keep me dry in rain or snowy weather yet. I didn't like the contrasting color of the zipper in some of the options, so purchased the mountain red.

Love this jacket with just a couple of issues. It would be better with a two way zipper. More importantly, the arm holes are tight. I deliberately ordered a size up just in case. If I had ordered my regular size, I could not have gotten my arms into the sleeves. Overall a terrific lightweight jacket that keeps you warm. Very happy to have it!

My daughter says it is warm and comfortable. I am not giving it five stars because we wish it had an extra pocket or two, like some of your older coats. Women need pockets! Please consider making outerwear with more pockets because when you're being active outdoors, it often isn't practical to carry a purse.

Jacket was a bit snug. If ordered a larger size, would have been too large.

My go-to jacket walking outside on all but the coldest of days last winter, and by that I mean I pulled out my big wool coat only on the sub-zero days. I bought this jacket a size up specifically to be able to layer, and it was beyond fantastic over a sweater all winter in windy Wyoming. Where it failed me however was in drizzly Washington, where I got soaked through because the seams are not waterproofed.

I purchased this jacket because I was looking for a light, packable, synthetic jacket to bring hiking and snowshoeing in colder months. I live in the upper midwest. I waited for one of my preferred colors to go on sale (Green) and was happy I did. I am around a 42-43" bust with broad shoulders and went with a Large, as this is my typical outerwear size in comparable brands. It looks like I am between a Large and XL. I would say the fit of the Large is generous but not baggy. I am able to easily layer a tshirt and a fleece layer underneath it. The packability is awesome and it is very lightweight. The color is pretty and it's not too shiny like some other brands' puffy jackets are. I recently had to pull it out of my closet with some unseasonably cold fall weather. My warm, winter jacket is in the process of being repaired and I typically would be in my fall/spring jacket now, but it has been 20s-30s here and windy. I put this on over a heavier fleece and I was shocked at how warm it was. It appears to be sufficiently wind blocking and it kept me toasty with the fleece. It doesn't have any lining so I would definitely have a long-sleeve layer underneath it for warmth. There are 3 things that are slight issues after wearing it for a few weeks. First is the fit across the shoulders. If I need to size up in a jacket, typically it is because I need more room across my back and shoulders. This jacket has plenty of room in the body of the jacket and I can zip it just fine. I would not want to size up, yet I do feel a restriction in the shoulders if I am reaching forward to put my dog's leash on, etc. I don't think I would be comfortable in this jacket if I had to have my arms forward a lot. If you are someone who also has this issue and really needs to have full range of motion in the shoulders, be aware. Hopefully it will be OK snowshoeing and using the poles. My second issue is that the zipper is easy to misalign so that the bottom is not hooked in. My third issue is that when it is fully zipped, the part under the chin is very rough and uncomfortable against my chin. Overall it appears to be good quality and quite warm. It is a good or equivalent option to more expensive outdoor brand's light puffy jackets.

I am 5'3" and ordered the PM which fits me perfectly with a Tee shirt or light weight shirt on. I am getting ready to travel and wanted to pack this into it's pocket. Only instruction I found is the video which has music and fast scrunching of the jacket into the pocket. Even slowing down the video I could not follow. I need more instructions than that! Please soften the music, slow down the video and provide verbal instructions to packing jacket into the pocket. Frustrating for me. I will carry the jacket but really wanted to pack into the pocket for space saving.

I had the pack away jacket without the hood for years and loved it. I wanted one with a hood so I ordered this. The style is a little longer and somehow it doesn't seem as warm. If I hadn't had the other first I would have given this one five stars.

This is a very well made jacket. I love all the zippered pockets. I hope I can figure out how to fold it to fit in the inside pocket. How about including instructions with pictures ?

Haven't worn yet but seems like a good light weight jacket. Bought it on sale and price was right. One complaint: description says it folds up into its own zippered pocket. I tried doing that and found it impossible. Maybe directions would be a good idea. Or don't market jacket as foldable into pocket.

I got this jacket recently on sale and did not expect to use it until the fall. However, I got the chance to try it out on a cloudy, blustery June day in the low 50s. I wore it over a long sleeve cotton shirt thinking it would be more than enough to keep me warm. I was cold for the 1st 15 mins. of a brisk walk and kept thinking I should have worn a sweater as well. The waterproof parkway parka with the same insulation was my go-to outerwear for the last 2 winters and I had high hopes for this trimmer version. I will need to adjust my expectations and add a sweater or shell according to conditions. It will be very useful for travel since it does fold down nicely. One peeve I have with recent LLBean sizing changes is that the petite jackets seem to have added too many inches to sleeve length. I originally got the medium size so I could wear a sweater or fleece underneath, as I have done with my previous LLB jackets for decades. But it was too big and the sleeves were way too long so I exchanged it for a small, which fit much better. This was the case for 2 other jackets I've gotten in the last year. Petite people have short arms and if the sleeve lengths are increased, there should be adjustable tabs.

Arms too big/puffy. Otherwise a great jacket! I ended up going with a cheaper brand.

The jacket fits well. In rainy weather the attached hood is a plus. Color is darker than appears online or in the catalog. Most of my jackets have the zipper pull on the right side. This jacket has the pull on the left.

This is a great lightweight insulated jacket. I found that the medium fit in the shoulders but was too big otherwise so I ended up returning it. Would have definitely kept it had it been a better fit.

Overall I really like the jacket, and look forward to wearing it. I first tried on a 1x and the arms seemed a bit snug so then i ordered a 2x, now the jacket is too large and the arms are still tight. I'm going to try exchanging it and see how that goes.

Color is great! Some threads were loose and I had to go to the LLbean store to exchange. Hood is small & whimpy.

PROS Liked the fact the jacket was a little longer than most. 5'9" and it came just below my butt Sleeves were long enough Fit nicely with an extra layer underneath. Some commented on the way the hood fit. I liked it because it helped keep a draft from going down my neck. CON It was much lighter weight than I anticipated. The fact it was packable should have given me that hint. Ended up returning it because it was just to light for my needs. Prompt refund when it was back at LL Bean

Slightly fitted,so glad I went up a size so can wear a heavier top underneath without jacket being too tight. Hood could be a little larger to be more effective.

Attractive, but not very warm. Also, the outer layer rips easily. Any suggestions on how to fix a tiny tear?
