I've had good luck with LLBean petite extra small and this is a perfect fit. It is warm enough for a cool day with a lightweight sweater underneath, water resistant enough in a light shower though probably need something sturdier for a real storm.. More light weight than I expected and would pack into a very small space when traveling.

I had seen this parka last fall and wanted to get one for my wife for Christmas, but it was not available in blue. So I waited and when it became available in that color again, I ordered it. It fits her beautifully and the color is terrific. I needed one for myself and decided to get the same jacket in men's, but in the Carbon Navy. It will be here in a couple of days. Can't wait!

I have been a down girl for my winter jackets/sweaters, but decided to try synthetic this time (to save a little $ and to see if the jacket is more rugged - I always end up getting holes in my down and having to patch). I was skeptical since this jacket is so light weight and synthetic material for the fill, but the reviews were quite positive, so I decided to give it a try. I moved to Maine about five years ago and started to buy L.L. Bean products more frequently; I have been super impressed with Bean's customer service and have been pleased with the quality of the products I have purchased. This jacket is no exception! It was a mild winter, but this jacket served it's purpose well: my "second warmest" jacket - my super cold weather jacket is a thigh length down jacket and also a Bean.

Lov the feel of the material. Love the fact it is so light weight. Not crazy about the hood.

I very much enjoyed this jacket on ski trip. Wore a thin layer and a fleece under the jacket. Worked very well. Love that it has 4 zipper pockets to store lift cards, phone, and other assorted items. Might not be warm enough in really freezing temps but worked great in Colorado. Love that it's light weight and can zip into a small size for packing.

This jacket is so light and warm that I wear it all the time. I just love the color too.

I can hardly wait till the weather warms enough to wear this jacket. It's cute, a nice color, and a perfect fit (I like jackets to be roomy).

I received this coat just in time for my trip to Japan. The weight for our luggage was limited so I didn't want to take a heavy coat but needed something warm. This coat was perfect. It is super lightweight and smushable so didn't take up much room. It was the perfect warmth and I love the teal color. I wish it had come with a stuff bag tho. Cathy

What a flattering fit... waist a bit nipped in, sleeves long enough to reach over my wrists, a longer length so my sweaters don't peek out beneath the bottom. I also really like that the back is somewhat longer than the front, an updated touch. I bought this jacket in both Marine Blue and Raspberry, both rich colors! Much less poofy than a down jacket, which adds to the flattering silhouette.Warmth? I take that for granted!

I love this jacket. It is a bit light weight so if it is colder you need to layer. But, I am enjoying wearing it in the mornings when I walk my dog.

My husband bought the men's version of this jacket last Spring and I had been contemplating purchasing the women's for a while. The fact that it is NOT down, but provides the warmth of down was the main selling point for me. Bonus that it is thin and very flattering. I was worried the sleeves would be too short on the Large- I was wrong. It fits perfectly. Would absolutely buy all over again.

My husband owns the same jacket. He loves his. Your hooded jacket fits and does a great job. Being light is a 100% perfect. We both recommend to all!

This jacket is great! Very light weight but nice and warm. Arms slide in & out easily. The elastic at bottom of the sleeves keep cold air out. The elastic on the hood keeps the hood up when it is raining and the wind is blowing. The drawstring at the bottom allows you to make it as tight as you need to keep the cold air out. My most favorite jacket ever!

This jacket is extremely comfortable, light, and waterproof. It fit perfectly and is nice and warm.

This jacket has a hood that actually fits! There is an adjustable elastic cord around the hood so it works in a brisk wind. The hood is NOT detachable. The jacket is gently fitted and comfortable and the XL fits comfortably with a fleece beneath. Pockets are deep and there is a breast pocket on the left side. I ordered the white but it is more a pale butter cream color than pure white. For me this is great but if your looking for a pure white, you might be disappointed.

I am super happy with my new jacket. I was hoping it would be warmer to ski in but cross country skiing I think it will be fine. But I wear it shopping etc and it works great. I love the blue color and the hood.

This nicely tailored jacket adjusts to a variety of temperatures, from freezing to 50. It's so lightweight and compacts well for packing. I love it! One caveat: I debated whether to order an extra-small or small. I opted for extra-small and am glad I did. While I don't swim in the jacket, it leaves room for a sweater.

Gorgeous color, beautiful workmanship, waterproof, wind protection, so warm, and packs like a shirt. Fits great. Even the hood is perfect. Loyal Bean customer for 25 years.

I bought this as a replacement for my old and worn out down filled jacket. I liked this one because it has a hood and it is filled with PrimaLoft. I wear it to the gym very early in the morning and even wearing a short sleeve t-shirt under it the jacket still keeps me warm even in the 20's outside. I could have gone down a size, but if I am wearing a sweater I thought it would be too snug so I opted for the large that has room to spare on workout days. It washes well. I hang it to dry. I love all the pockets inside and out and it appears made well. I bought the jacket in the beautiful "berry" color.

This is the second purchase I've made of this coat. I purchased it a couple years ago in light grey. I've liked it so much I purchased another one in the pretty pink color. It's roomy enough that a sweater will fit under it but yet somewhat fitted. I packed this coat when we went to Europe and it was great for chilly days in the spring.
