I've had this jacket for 2 years and so far it has been the best investment in rain resistance I've ever had. I spend at least half my workweek outside in the Northeast USA which means cold wet springs and cold wet falls and this jacket does its job masterfully. It also breathes in the hot humid summer rains so that I'm not sweating in the jacket. The features of the jacket are all very useful. I purchased this jacket expecting high-performance for the price and it delivered.

Nice fit and works well in wet and windy weather. Was a replacement for a Bean shell purchased many years ago that I recently retired.

I live in the Pacific North West and it keeps me very dry and with a base layer keeps me warm; This is my third Gore-Tex jacket from LLB and I love it.

This coat came in on time and was exactly as described. It is a perfect fit and I'm excited

Wore this wonderful jacket in our trip Norway during days of rain.

Only used it for a light rain so far and it held up great. Completely waterproof and reasonably breathable considering it was 70 degrees out. Happy with the purchase.

Gore Tex three layer is the only rain gear I will even consider. I'm 72 years young, and over the years I have had many rain gear. I have had the pleasure of running across Gore Tex around year 2000. I took this rain gear on a Europe motorcycle trip. It rained a lot, I was sold on this fabric, I still have that jacket and it still keeps me dry.

This is a high quality rain jacket. The sleeves run a little long but I guess that is to keep the rain from entering at your wrists. It is also a bit roomy. I am 5'9" tall, weigh 155 pounds, and bought size medium. I bought this jacket for golf as well as for hiking. It does not have the flexibility of a high end golf rain jacket. It is a little stiff and makes that crinkly sound when I swing. I am sure I will get many years of service from this jacket.

I just returned from a two-week trip to Germany where the temps ranged from 28 to 78 degrees with wind, snow, rain and sun making up the hodgepodge weather. I went one size up which allowed for plenty of--needed!--layers under the jacket. If I had gone with my regular size the jacket definitely would have been too snug with all the layers. The jacket provided an excellent wind and rain barrier. When the weather turned warmer, the pit vents worked well for temperature regulation. If the temps had gone over 80, I probably would have preferred a thinner jacket. On a side note, I received multiple compliments on the style and color of the jacket. Maybe LLBean should expand to Germany? ;-)

Great water-resistant rain jacket! Light weight & packable. Does exactly as advertised. Keeps you perfectly dry.

Keeps the rain out and fits well. Would have liked a double zipper to use when sitting down into my car, but not enough of a problem to knock down the rating.

So far, so good. I haven't really had a chance to test it during heavy rain, but so far it's keeping me dry! I originally ordered an XL Tall, but found that a little too snug in the body, considering I wanted to be able to layer fleeces or sweatshirts under it, so returned it (easy peasy) and got the 2XL Tall, which is probably a bit oversized for regular clothes, but is perfect for layering underneath it!

Excellent shell! I bought this to replace my old Tek 2.5 version. This one is better. This is proper rain gear and will keep your torso dry even in downpour rain. They also fixed the problem with the chest pocket so that it is no longer a glued internal seam. Highly recommended!

Amazing jacket! Purchased this right before a trip to Paris, and used it daily! Had ample room for a down jacket for extra warmth and stayed dry all day, every day! Being 6'3" like the tall aspect for a little extra length in the sleeve and length ensuring I stayed dry. Lastly, loved the Gore Tex aspect with others selling for way more at retail stores. Glad I went LL Bean!

Fits well, seems really waterproof, like the long hip-length cut, reinforced visor on the hood keeps rain off my glasses. Small gripe is that the zipper is a bit stiff, but perhaps it's a waterproof zipper that has to be tight to seal?

Purchased for my husband's birthday. He loved the fun color. Bring on the rain.

This was a great purchase! Great fit and stayed 100% dry in Ireland where it rained every day.

Finally a rain coat that exactly repels water - but it must be gor-tex that costs about $100.more. I purchased the large which might be a little bigger than I need, but with a raincoat bigger is better. I weigh 165 and 5'8''. Well worth the extra money.

And you can never find that right, perfect oversized fit when you look for it in women's jackets? Well, this is it. After searching and searching for the perfect solution - this is it. And the turquoise looks amazing.
