The fit and size was accurate, and the quality of L.L. Bean is always excellent. The coat shipped in a tiny bag and I can't believe how warm it is for being so light. I just used this coat in zero-degree weather around town and the only part of me not cold was the part covered by this coat.

very warm and comfortable stops breezes from getting through. I used it riding my bike in 26 temperatures and it kept me warm. will see how long it last, seems well made. but so far I like it very much

One interior pocket for warmables like gloves, water filter, socks, lighters, etc... two hand pockets, a small breast pocket, comfortable with a mid-weight long-sleeve base layer well below freezing... as a midlayer with added shell, this jacket would suffice for most people's needs as part of a layering system. When its 30f below freezing with bitter winds, some good layers under this and a good shell over, and I'm fine. Easily packable. A high quality warmth garment, especially for its weight class, warmer by leaps and bounds than industry darling ultralight jackets. Top notch LLBean, thank you.

The hood is easier to put on and it gives me extra warmth!

First down jacket that I've purchased with a hood and it works very well when the snow is blowing sideways. I feel that it also zips higher than a non-hooded jacket, which I like as it seals around my neck very well. I find the fit to be slightly large and I could easily wear another layer underneath it. There is one thing I would like that the jacket does not have and is also not present in other brands, there should be two of the external chest pockets, one on each side. Other than that, this is one fine jacket and has served me well so far. I liked it so much that I ordered the corresponding down vest.

Light and very warm! I wear this jacket when I am out and about, walking in the chilling wind by the ocean on California's Central Coast.

light weight, but surprisingly warm. Wear a sweater or sweatshirt underneath and you are good for temperatures into the 30s.

The coat is extremely comfortable . It is warm enough for quite cold weather, but it is not too bulky.

For being so lightweight, I can't believe it's So soft and warm. Love this jacket!!!

At first brush I though that this jacket is too light and not puffy enough to be warm. So I put it on with just a t-shirt underneath and went for a walk at night in 4 degree temps with the wind howling. To my surprise I was warm and cozy and the wind did not cut though the jacket.

Great weight. A little snug through the upper arm. Got a larger size which was perfect. The light weight is surprisingly warm. Highly recommend.

This jacket is all I had hoped for. Very light and comfortable but very warm also. I think it is a bit pricey but I still bought 2 of them. One for the wife also.
