What a great jacket living in Montana you never know what mother nature is going to throw at you this jacket is warm and does a good job of cutting the wind and keeping you dry without the bulk

Perfect for layering warmth. Unexpectedly zips inside a shell jacket I already had. This is a second, larger and taller size for use both as an extra layer and to wear inside a bivy sack for sleeping.

Got this for my husband. He'd never had a down coat, he was amazed at the warmth, it's ability to block wind and the lightweightness of it. He does outdoor photography and carries a pretty heavy backpack. This was a game changer. Fits perfect, sleeve length perfect.

This jacket is the best jacket I own, light but very warm. Great features such as the ability to tighten up the hood, and a roomy cell phone pocket. I can walk in the rain and I stay dry. An awesome down filled jacket!!

Love this jacket! Looked around for quite a while for the perfect down ultralight jacket for backpacking/wearing around town and staying warm. Bought the "Saddle" color at a great deal on sale, and am really happy with it. -Ultralight -Packed FULL of down -Snug wrist openings, and fits overall very well.

This jacket is as warm and wind resistant as the salesman said it would be. Even though it is so light weight and not at all bulky. I'm impressed.

Lightweight, cozy, puffy warm, especially, during below freezing temps. Regular small fits me well (5'9" 146lb) with room for a mid layer, if needed. I just got it and I have used it for home-casual and hiking and would recommend it for these uses.

I'm 6'3", 180 lbs. The Medium Tall fit is perfect. It's great to have the Tall option for clothing without the clothes having to be 'big & tall'. The attached hood is an added bonus; I like the style. The jacket keeps me warm during winter.

I got this at the outlet store in Ellsworth. I thought it was a womens, liked the color and find it fits a little tight and short at the hips for a woman. But I like the color and the 60% off was very generous! I'll use it during hunting season when I'm out walking.

Perfect fit and neat color. The hood is a definite plus with our negative temps right now.

Perfect to wear everyday, pack for a trip, ball up in the bottom of your school backpack, as it is very versatile and light yet warm. We bought this for a tall 14 year old boy that likes simple style. He loves the jacket and has worn it daily since it arrived. The arm length is a little bit long but that's perfect as he is still growing. He wanted a jacket that covered his rear and was hooded, but not fatherly looking. This one fit the request. I would buy this again in a heartbeat beat. Mom boys know they don't like to wear jackets even when it's too cold not to. He usually wears a hoodie under it, so I can be layered easily. A size large was perfect to allow him to layer. So this one is incredibly light and packable to be shoved into the backpack all day and still look good enough to put on to wear home.

Lightweight, not bulky, and the wind only comes through the underside. Suggestion: a pocket inside the right chest. and a similar cinch string at the bottom of the jacket (similar to the hood) to reduce cold air venting in.

Warm, great with wind and silky smooth. Exactly as advertised. I wore this in single digit Fahrenheit conditions with a tee shirt and was more than comfortable.

My husband bought a very warm but very cumbersome and heavy parka this winter. He avoided wearing it. I surprised him with the Ultralight 850. No matter how wicked the wind blows or how hard it snows, the 850 is what he grabs. Thank you L L Bean. He is toasty warm..he is a hard guy to please.

I own a bunch of this style, and this on is a favorite. It is very comfortable and light too.

Fits true to size . Water resistant in heavy rain and snow . Warm and comfortable with base layer in sub zero weather. Incredibly light weight and packable . Great coat for cold New England winter weather !
