Returned the coat due to a zipper snag at the neck area. Upon returning the coat to the local LL Bean retail store I tried on a duplicate coat from the store rack. The same snag occurred at the neck area.

The snaps on the hood disengage every time my son wears the coat.

The hood is fastened with press button instead of a zipper which don't have enough tension to hold. As soon as you try to use the hood it comes off in your hand.

Jacket smelled like dead animal, dirty dog not good. Sent it back.

The snaps that hold the hood on are WORTHLESS!! Otherwise the parka is nice, it does its job in cold weather. If you like reattaching the hood every time you put the coat on, or sit down and put a little stress on the neck area, this item is for you.

Purchased same size as other LLBean clothes that fit but was too small. Do not like the slightly fitted that is now on so many items.

My husband is tall and thin. We ordered a size L for a generous fit. The (grey) coat looked great coming out of the package. But it was so tight at the neck that the zipper would not reach the top, at the chin. Nor would the snaps close at the chin.We tried detaching the hood, to no avail. Plus, the snaps were too way too small, difficult to line up and snap. Returned the L Tall for an XL tall. Same problems. Again, deeply disappointed.

I got this coat and realized the zipper was not working properly. I got a replacement. Same problem with the zipper on the replacement. Maybe they have lowered the quality of their zippers. It is truly a pain to put on and take it off this coat. It should also be noted that L.L. Bean has very strict rules concerning what you are, and what you are not allowed to mention in your reviews. This is the fourth time I have tried to post a review. (Each former attempt ended in L.L. Bean rejecting my review). If you mention a problem you have had with customer service (something L.L. Bean is supposedly known for) they will not post your review.

The first coat I received had a zipper that failed immediately after the first wash. LL bean took took almost 2 weeks to receive, ship and get me a replacement. The new coat smelled when I received it, so I'm washing it now. Hopefully it works, otherwise I'm returning it and never buying from LL bean again.

Under Upper and recycled polyester lining protect from wind and rain on the right side there is no insulation at all. It's a pity . And I still have to pay money for a return through no fault of my own.

This product does not deserve the LL Bean label. Outer shell is extremely poor quality which did not last 30 days. Now I know where the manufacturer is getting the recycled polyester from. I strongly suggest a recall and replace with another product.1

As a relatively small person, it's hard to find a jacket that fits well. This one fit perfectly. I was so excited to finally find a nice warm jacket that wasn't huge. I've worn this jacket a single time to work when it was in the mid 20s outside. Between the parking lot and the building, I was very warm. Unfortunately, when I was leaving work, I realized there was down leaking out of two small tears. I have no idea how these tears could have happened. I didn't brush up against anything and I hung the jacket in a an empty closet at work. I am so disappointed. Upon coming home, I realized that down is also coming out from under one of the sleeves. So to summarize, this is a warm jacket that fits perfectly but somehow developed two tears on the first wear. Definitely disappointing.

I purchased this coat recently, however, upon wearing it in our first cool weather of the autumn/winter season, I have sent it back for a full refund. As the temperature was in the mid to low 30's one evening last week, I put on my coat to take it for a try in some really cool weather. Prior to this, I wore it in temperatures around 50 or slightly lower. However, in cooler temperatures, this coat does not perform well in keeping one warm. The night that I wore it with the temperature in the low 30's, I wore a warm wool sweater and a button down shirt on underneath the coat, and I found myself cold standing in temperature around 32 degrees. Because of that, I decided to return my coat for a refund.
