Because of warmer weather I have had only one opportunity to wear the coat. Sitting by the campfire with a cup of coffee - and a new grandson. Very pleased. Good weight, comfortable fit and warm as advertised. Good purchase - as usual from Bean.

Perfect coat for visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Minneapolis. A bit too warm for our California weather but perfect for Minnesota winters.

I bought this for my husband who is working in the Boston Harbor and it keeps him warm all day. Wind, rain and sea mist don't stand a chance against the warmth and comfort of this coat. The water just beads right off. This coat is worth every penny and I would recommend this 100 times over!!

Husband loves this parka! Bought the tall and the length gives good coverage - almost to the bottom of his derriere. He has a long torso. Great for this Wisconsin winter which has started already. Coat is very warm - don't have to layer it. Pleased with the navy color and feel of the material.

I bought this coat for my husband and he really likes it. Room enough for sweat jacket. He says that it is comfortable, not bulky and warm. Although not as warm as his LLBean down jacket from 20 years ago that his is replacing.

Despite it's relatively light weight, this parka provides excellent warmth. I was comfortable walking through Chicago's Loop this week in 20-degree weather without an underlying fleece or sweater. Other reviewers have commented that the hood is unwieldy but it seems fine to me.

My twins love their new coats and are keeping warm at university!! Highly recommend having the longer length on this coat along with a hood that covers neck and mouth.

This jacket fit perfectly, and the sleeves were actually long enough for my long arms! Very warm on cold days, as I wear this to walk to work everyday for cold days in Colorado. Definitely worth the price

This is a wonderful jacket-lightweight and warm. It is my go to outerwear for walking the dog and any away from home winter errand. It is in point of fact my second one of these because I punctured the first while doing some yard work and even though I can seal up the puncture and still use the jacket I can't wear it if I'm going to a meeting or someplace not appropriate to wear a torn jacket. I must say my only disappointment ever in a Beane product is that the item shipped to me still had a price tag on it for $169 while the jacket is now selling for $179 which is what I paid.

This is a wonderful jacket. I bought it primarily as a commute jacket and my walk to work entails walking on a longish bridge overlooking the harbor. And boy it is freezing on that bridge! This coat protects me wonderfully well. It is soft where it needs to be and warm everywhere. And it fits well.

I was SO skeptical of the reviews saying you needed to order a size smaller than you normally wear. I'm usually a large, sometimes even an XL, and I ordered a medium. It fits just right!

Just what the doctor ordered. Nice and long, falls to mid thigh. Excellent wind breaker. Looks and feels good and is nice and warm at near zero degrees.

This parka is warm, has a very soft waterproof exterior, and was very reasonably priced. The fact that LL Bean sources their down responsibly was a major factor in this purchase. It is incredibly warm and holds body heat very well. The fleece lined pockets were an excellent surprise as well. Highly recommended.

Great jacket for temps below 20F. Hood ties are a little awkward and hood is too large, but one can get used to it. I don't normally use the hood anyway.

Absolutely love this coat so far. It feels very warm. I like that the hood is detachable. The fit is absolutely perfect - I've never had a coat fit so well. I highly recommend!

Ordered a new down parka to replace my 23 yr old LL Bean 3 in 1 Ski Jacket. The new technology, lightweight and perfect fit are amazing. I am extremely happy.

As a former Californian now living in Iowa, I bought this jacket hoping it would shield me from the state's extreme cold weather. This jacket does the job, AND it looks cute. It just so happened to arrive on my doorstep when temps dropped to about 10degrees--and I was thrilled I could try it out. It works! It kept me toasty, and I love that the hood is also insulated. The fit is just right--I'm able to wear a sweater underneath with room to spare, but it doesn't look too big on me. Hands down a great purchase.

Bought this coat as a Birthday present for my nephew and now I'm the coolest aunt. He loves this coat and is very warm.
